I had a savings account with Georgia's Own, they closed my account and took my $2000.00 because of inactivity, finally got a supervisor on the phone 1/12/22 she said a letter was mailed (not certified mail) advising me that my account would be closed. That is an unacceptable excuse to take my money. If I had received a letter saying they were closing my account I would have taken immediate action. This is true and accurate. 1 star is too good a rating. If they can just take my money, they can take yours.

Worst bank ever!!!!! I had to pay to get my own statements it seems like they are trying to take money any in everywhere they can… they even charge a maintenance fee to have an account open (where do they do that at) At George’s own credit union…Please don’t waste your time😡😡😡
Hi Aquasia - Sorry to hear this is how you feel. We do charge $2 for mailed statements, but offer eStatements free of charge for members. The only maintenance fee we charge is for our Perks+ Checking account, which offers more benefits that our All Access Checking account which is free. I have been a customer for over 10yrs and loved them, BUT here lately no one knows what they are doing and no one can do a job correct. From account to loans to even the app… I am so flustered with the service that Georgia’s Own calls acceptable.

I use Georgia's Own Credit Union for Shared Branching from time to time. I have never waited more than a few moments to complete my transaction, EVER! The staff is friendly and fast. I love Credit Union's and believe in what they stand for and who they stand for. This Credit Union is Ahmazing!

Been with the same bank for 10 years never had an issue . Georgias Own bought them mailed me a debit card . It got lost in the mail. When I questioned the manager she said it had been activated !!! I got another card on the spot got home tried to activate it and it was locked. Meanwhile the first card IS STILL ACTIVE !! so I go back to the bank and was told that they are going to have to make a case to get it unlocked !!!??? . Georgias Own is incompetent and has no business dealing with other people's money ... You are better off keeping your savings in a sock under the mattress....

I’ve been with them for years. Lately I’ve become So disappointed in the way they work. I spoke with a representative regarding when my account says that my remaining balance shown includes my pending items. Well lately that hasn’t Been true because when my pending items actually post my balance changes. She told me that the balance shouldn’t change because my pending items were included in it and to send her screen shots showing that this occurred. I sent the screen shots and no one has contacted me back regarding this matter. This continues to happen which is giving false amounts in my account and has even caused items to overdrafts. I’m just going to withdraw from using them, I’m getting great things about another credit union and I’m leaning towards taking my services to them

Hopefully this info can shed more light on it for you: Your account balance is the total amount of money that is currently in your account, including any pending transactions. Your available balance is the total amount of money in your account that is accessible for purchases and withdrawals, as it includes the subtraction of pending transactions and holds from your account balance. However, the available balance does not include checks which have not been cashed or any deposits which have yet to post. Overdraft fees are determined using your available balance. Not happy with the customer service from personal banker. I was told that I had to drop off application for BUSINESS ACCOUNT and it will take 3 business days to open my account. I am big on customer service if your that busy I will definitely take my business elsewhere.This would of never happened at Navy Federal Credit Union!!!!!!

Hopefully they'll read this and make better decisions to serve their customers! Ive been with them for years and have several services, unfortunately their practices and operations are really no different than a normal bank, or worse! I.e., Closed on Saturday n'o contact nunber for a local branch, hours on Google listings are incorrect for their customers, and the call center is completely, completely useless! Shame on you. Tony

This is my favorite bank and I trust them with my money. They look out for the little guy and gal. I moved here 6 years ago and opened a checking account and saving account for me and 2 saving accounts for the kids. I still have those accounts and they are growing. Plus the banker were very helpful with a money fraud that my son was experiencing. The banker added the personal touch took care of our problem and shocked me when she followed up with us to make sure everything was ok. I was highly impressed. So much so, I opened a HEL with them and my oldest son 18 is building his credit with a secure loan credit card and CD. The bank tellers have become family friends and we exchange pleasantries each time I go.

This is the WORST credit union ever!!! They charge 4.00$ to use an (non network) atm in addition to the atm fee. If you stay far from their “partnered” atms which there are not many, you have to drive far out just to take out money and avoid extra fees. So to withdraw money, it’s almost 8$ depending on the atm. It’s always some foreign charge, that makes no sense. You pay an 8$ maintenance fee a month, and you all have the nerve to charge ppl for using the atm. Not only that but when you call to dispute charges, they treat you like a liar, as if your trying to scam them. 🤔.....I’m taking my money elsewhere. This is the dumbest bank ever....def not a credit union if your trying to save money. Delta is wayyyyy better!
