FedChoice Federal Credit Union Market St, Philadelphia

I've had an account with this credit union since 1984. I'm now leaving due to lack of customer service. They are extremely hard to get in contact with. Their business hours are 8:30 - 4:00. How can a working person handle business here if the bank closes before most people get off work. Every single time I call, the wait time is way too long. I've tried the automated call back 3 times and no one has returned my call. This bank is too out dated for me and I've had it.

I really wish I had read some reviews before choosing this credit union. I chose it because there’s a branch in my work building, so I thought it would be convenient. I have never experienced worse customer service from a bank. My card number was recently compromised and, four phone calls in (including a “call back” through their system which never happened), I’m no closer to resolution. No matter when you call, they are always experiencing “high call volume” and the wait is over a half hour. We are switching banks ASAP and wish we had heeded the warning signs earlier.

My checking account was recently compromised and they immediately shut down my card and stopped the charges from going thru which im grateful for, however, they under no circumstances issue out debit cards on the spot and I was leaving for vacation last week when this happened. How can this be? Every other bank and financial institution does it? In addition when I called they offered to overnight me a card with no guarantee it would arrive the next day for a charge to me of $45.00, why should I have to pay for something that was beyond my control, why not just overnight the card anyway? Instead of making my day all together better, it was a nightmare because my money was being held hostage, I had no availability to it while I was away on vacation. Suffice to say, I am in process of switching to another financial institution. This was it for me. They lost a long time customer, funny thing is they don't seem to care. They have the worst customer service and it's clear customers do not come first to them.

Horrible experience getting a new card!

Why has this one and only branch still not opened since the COVID SHUTDOWN in March 2020! On multiple occasions I needed access to my money and couldn't get it....I AM SO THROUGH WITH THEM! I have now transferred most of my money to another financial institution. As soon as I'm done paying off their LOUSY credit card, I'm closing all accounts.

Fedchoice located at 2970 Market St. is unable to issue debit cards on the spot. The debit card I was issued only worked in certain stores. The machine to issue replacement cards hasn't worked since they got it. According to the manager it is missing some type of hardware. Replacement cards can take two weeks to receive. If direct deposit is scheduled on a Monday and it is a holiday weekend the automatic transfer does not take place. You are then charged a balance transfer fee if money is not available to cover any debits. These concerns were elevated to the manager on more than one occasion. The only recourse was to get the fees refunded.

The customer service suck. I have been trying to order a new card for 5 days now. Calling every day.
