If you want to settle with just any car because of low credit this is the Perfect place for you but if you work for a big company everyday and have low credit like me but still want to get your self something nice a waist of time. They told me I was approved for any vehicle on the lot however when I asked for a specific bmw truck they told me that is considered some type of special vehicle and I would have to put 12000 down. Really I understand a down payment but if I had that to put down I would not be buying a used bmw 2016 ,x1 these company’s act real cute with these old cars. After I was told this no other options were offered what a waist of time will be going elsewhere they make it seem like it easy for you to get the car of your choice but it’s not happy they atleast did this by phone because if I went up there I would have been mad that’s the only car I wanted

Beware!!! Avoid this place! They sold us a lemon! First week had to go back for a bent wheel, instead of replacing they attempted to fix. Following week a cylinder head in the engine is bad! They refuse to take the car back yelling me it will be a repo! These people are crooks! BEWARE and AVOID!

Great Experience. Drive time was very upfront and direct over the phone and in person. If you have the cash and the employment, it's simple. I had to go back there twice and both time my ride left and I had to call them to come back. I’m so disappointed in the service I received. I was lie to and that it was about a name change but it’s because they did not do the inspection. I have done everything they requested me to do prior to me getting there and they couldn’t get everything on their side done. Wasted so much time there . Will never deal with them again or even advice anyone to go there.

Thanks soooo much! I’m riding! I am returning to update my review My first review I gave 5 stars. I am returning a week from my purchase and bot very happy. I purchased 2018 Nissan with 30,000, I only test drove it around the block. I head home and my brakes didn’t feel right and my car was pulling to the left, I thought it was just in my head since it was a new car and just not use to driving it. I drove it for two days and decided to get it checked out, brakes, rotors and needs an alignment. I called drivetime and let them know what was going on and was informed my sales agent was off they didn’t have a service department on site and someone would call me back. I called the next day and sent and email. The weekend comes and still no return call or replies to my email. I had to wait until Monday since they’re closed on Sunday’s. Finally I speak to someone that informs me if I want to exchange the car for another it must be within 300 miles and to ignore the 5 day policy that was explained to me which means I’m over the mileage and didn’t know I was to call the warranty company to file a claim. WHY when I brought the car 5 days ago and it shouldn’t have ANY problems. After a lot of back and forth with misinformation I have to file a claim and have my car repaired. I called over 10 shops within the network and most couldn’t even accommodate me in a timely manner. I was told by several shops to drop car off and they will eventually get to it anywhere from 2!days rona week or so. How do I get back and forth to work, errands, etc without a car in Waldorf???? I am ver disappointed in drivetime and the lack of professionalism. I’ve left 4 messages and sent 3 emails and no response. I am now stuck with a car that I don’t feel safe in!

Great customer service this is my second time here even after I moved to Texas and came back home. Antonio's customer service was outstanding in helping me get back into a vehicle with them after my previous one was totaled, he called me and gave me a great option. Craig was awesome during the whole sales process, great customer service and answered all my questions with the vehicle and financing. I highly recommend them they can get you in a nice ride in a timely manner even when you got some outside struggles. Very patient location.

I love Drive Time! My Sales Rep was Ari and he presented me with the best car buying experience! He took his time, made me laugh and treated the transaction as if he were purchasing the car himself. I was quoted a down payment price online and when I got there the down payment was still the same. I had all the documents they asked for and the whole process was smooth! My sales rep Mr Torrance Barnhardt made my visit and my transaction a pleasant one, he was honest, knowledgeable. The eye contact showed me he was about his business, did not give me a song and dance, I was skeptical after reading some reviews about vehicle I was interested in, but he put me at ease. He was patient even on his supposedly day off. My opinion he's a great team player and a asset to the company. My wife was even more skeptical then I, but after a few minutes of talking with Torrance she was ready to trade her vehicle. I wish him much success on his way to the top, customer was praising him entering the establishment.

First and foremost, this is my first time Purchasing any vehicle ever! My credit has never had the opportunity to be established, let alone, I have co-signed with two people! Both experiences ended unfavorably! Going to DriveTime I was anxious and a little nervous considering my credit! I was respectfully greeted by customer service, who assisted me to a superb worker, Kinea McCray! She said hello, and I instantly felt relaxed and a lot less anxious. I forewarned her before conversation started, that my credit was in bad condition, she reassured me with the words, “Everything is going to be just alright.” She had already sold whatever car too me by then. She was a respectful, and a diligent worker! After leaving setting a date to purchase my vehicles, she was consistent with communication, assisting me even further with the process of completing a lot of things I would need the day of the purchase, with friendly phone call reminders! I went here back in 2016. The dealership and the salesman that worked with me is good. I don’t remember his name but he was courteous and down to earth. Wasn’t even pressured into buying. With that said here’s why I only gave 2 stars. The inventory was decent but do a little research before you fill out the online application or even walk in. They finance through a company called Bridgecrest. They are the crooks in this matter. Their interest rates are high and it’s compounded daily. That’s right daily. They will work with you if you have to postpone a payment a week or so. Nothing against the staff at the dealership but beware, the devil is in the details. You have to purchase the warranty which is additional and it won’t even last your loan period. And don’t even get me started on the warranty (total waste of money & you’re limited on where you can take the vehicle where it’s covered 100%). I only had one issue with my vehicle during the warranty period and it was such a hassle to get it fixed I ended up paying out of my own pocket to my mechanic, which cost me less than what my warranty deductible would have been. The cars as said are decent. Don’t go in expecting to find something pristine. They are older model higher mileage vehicles that may not last you through the loan period, unless you’re doing financing for 24 months. I’ve had my car for 40 months and now it needs a new engine and the warranty is long expired. Not to mention that I still owe according to Bridgecrest’s payoff amount 10k on the vehicle, that I can’t even drive. I asked if I could apply and get a new vehicle and roll the negative equity into that loan they said no. So I’m stuck having to buy another vehicle and still pay for one that isn’t operational. Don’t fall for the smoke & mirrors. The commercials are entertaining and the ease of purchase is great but what comes after is a nightmare. Do your research before even thinking about dealing with DriveTime.

The Federal Truth in Lending Disclosure is provided to each customer during the contracting process. Regarding your concerns with SilverRock, the extended protection plan is an optional service and is not required to purchase. This is one of the many products or services we offer to set our customers up for success in their purchase from us. This protection plan is known as the VSC – Vehicle Service Contract and is set up for 5-years or 50,000-miles of powertrain protection. I am truly sorry if the vehicle has been driven outside of the contracted coverage terms and if this unexpected repair is now considered an out of the pocket expense. It may also be worth mentioning that SilverRock will welcome a claim from any repair facility that is ASE certified and willing to work with third-party warranty service. Keep in mind there would be either an “In-Network” or “Out-of-Network” deductible applied per approved repair claim. This means a customer can go to a shop that is not considered in-network for repairs, however, an out-of-network deductible of $200 would be applied to the approved claim. All details and requirements were described to the “T” over the phone before arrival. There were no gimmicks or scams and the approval process was simple and too the point. I received my vehicle in about two hours the exact vehicle I asked for with an affordable payment plan. They also offered an extremely affordable and thorough warranty and emergency plan which was also described in detail via face to face and video. The online down payment approval was real and the customer service was beyond amazing. Porsche and Scott at drive time changed my views on the car buying experience and I will definitely be sending people their way.

Brittany was the best. She assisted me in finding my first car as soon as I stepped through the door. I test drove two cars and she helped me pick the best one. I chose the 2013 Ford Focus SE only 48k miles. I was also shown the auto check before I made my final decision which was good. She showed me where everything was and popped the hood to show me that everything was in good condition. My interest rate is a little high but I only had to put down $800 will put more down within the next 60 days to bring it down plus pay extra when I can. The whole process took about 2 1/2 hours could have been less, but I was on the phone with Geico for a long time trying to find discounts. All in all great experience.

Best location!!!!!! Valencia worked wonders. I got in a accident and had gap insurance (make sure you get that) so I needed another car. Came in a Freddie was amazing. I thought it would be impossible for me to get a car because I didn't have any money down and I had a cosigner. I had a cosigner on the last car, this time I didn't. Freddie came back and told me let's look at cars. Plus he did this in amazing time. I wasn't there long and I was happy when I left. The Laurel and Glen Bernie location told me I needed a cosigner or money down at Temple hills I didn't need either one. I live 2hrs away and the drive was worth it. The other locations are 45min to a hour away. Thank you guys I am so happy. This location is amazing and will not let you down. Make that drive if you need to and don't let the other locations tell you can't until you talk to Valencia or Freddie. O and Brittany is soooo sweet. The whole team has amazing service friendly and professional.

I almost let a few reviews let me miss out on a Blessing....I was very discouraged and thought it was no hope from my experience with Auto Giants the day before wanting me to pay $600 a month and only showed me one car to choose from, however I came to the Temple Hills location and had no plans of actually leaving off the lot with a car....my process was so smooth and easy, the down payment they quoted me online is exactly what i paid and not one time did they BS me!!!! they also asked me what price range I wanted to stay in far as the monthly payments. I recently purchased a kia soul from here in September. I must say I absolutely loved the customer service all around. My sales representative Brandon was so awesome. He made the experience superb. The whole way through was nothing like I've ever experienced when buying a vehicle. Brandon made it is priority to make me comfortable and to make sure I was happy with my vehicle. A friend Recently purchased a car and within 30 days they were on the side of the rode broke down on one of the hottest days 🥵. The alternator went out. The salesperson swore that the car was fully reliable and inspected. Please take extra caution ⛔️ buying a car from them. Don’t waste your time here … just go to a well known dealership.

Eddie was great at his job, I even called earlier that day and happened to be speaking with him as well. He helped me find the car I was interested in and the best options for me to drive off the lot with it. The process was smooth and I am very inquisitive but he didn’t mind one bit. He answered each question and any questions he couldn’t answer he found out who could. I love the car I bought and all of the different ways he gave me to be able to lower my payments and my apr. If you are gonna purchase a car do your research on drive time and find the best fit for you. The information I was given on the car was never ending there was multiple great inspections done and even room for me to have my own inspections done and pay nothing out of pocket. My first review I gave 5 stars. I am returning a week from my purchase and not very happy. I purchased 2018 Nissan with 30,000, I only test drove it around the block. I head home and my brakes didn’t feel right and my car was pulling to the left, I thought it was just in my head since it was a new car and just not use to driving it. I drove it for two days and decided to get it checked out, brakes, rotors and needs an alignment. I called drivetime and let them know what was going on and was informed my sales agent was off they didn’t have a service department on site and someone would call me back. I called the next day and sent an email. The weekend comes and still no return call or replies to my email. I had to wait until Monday since they’re closed on Sunday’s. Finally I speak to someone that informs me if I want to exchange the car for another it must be within 300 miles and to ignore the 5 day policy that was explained to me which means I’m over the mileage and didn’t know I was to call the warranty company to file a claim. WHY when I brought the car 5 days ago and it shouldn’t have ANY problems. After a lot of back and forth with misinformation I have to file a claim and have my car repaired. I called over 10 shops within the network and most couldn’t even accommodate me in a timely manner. I was told by several shops to drop car off and they will eventually get to it anywhere from 2 days to a week or so. How do I get back and forth to work, errands, etc without a car in Waldorf???? I am very disappointed in drivetime and the lack of professionalism. I’ve left 4 messages and sent 3 emails and no response. I am now stuck with a car that I don’t feel safe in! This could’ve been resolved if the sales guy and the person I called when I noticed the issues gave the correct information from the start and not give me the runaround and the other not responding. If for any reason you have to get a car from here...DO A THOROUGH INSPECTION!

I came into DriveTime looking for a car with a low down payment, low miles, and reasonable payments. I found it at DriveTime! When we first came in, everyone greeted me with a hello and a smile, I was asked if I wanted water or popcorn (that was nice). Customer service in this place was the best! I immediately felt comfortable! Brittany was GREAT!She went above and beyond to accommodate me, even when a couple hurdles she still worked HARD to keep me happy and fix and problems! She also rewashed and vacuumed the car for me 😊 The process is long so be prepared to stay for awhile, but the process is smooth! They do in-house financing so if you don't have perfect credit they will still work with you, they basically go off your income! Of course, when dealing with Financing you will end up pay MORE, but with some research its ways off paying it off sooner... I would recommend them and if you go, tell them I referred 😊! Save you and me some $$

My first review was posted after I first received my SUV from Drive Time. The experience was good at the time. Later I noticed something going on with my breaks and took it to the shop. They promised me warranty and declined my claim. They were rude, incompetent and unprofessional. Everyone there at the establishment was friendly and it seemed genuine and you could tell that they enjoy their jobs. It's rare to find good customer service nowadays especially in pg county but they have sold cars to 3 of my family members so far, based on their attitudes and good inventory. There is a lot more I could say but the bottom line is if you are looking for a car you should try drive time first, you won't regret it.

Excellent customer service. They were patient and got me every possible price break they could. They let me come back a day later when I didn't have proof of insurance and held the car I wanted for me. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that may not be able to get financed conventionally for any reason. And even people that could. Ask for Ari Cunha, he will definitely make your experience as fast and as easy as possible.

I was in the market for a new car. A friend referred me to Drive Time. I was slightly skeptical and a bit nervous, I had no idea what to expect. Prior to arriving I had spoken with "Mr. Minor", he was professional and knowledgeable about their inventory and was able to send us a list of cars within a few minutes of ending our conversation. Upon arriving we were greeted by "Al", our appointment was with Mr. Minor, however he was busy assisting another customer and he introduced us to Ms. Raquel Shabazz. All I can say is WOW! She was professional, helpful, knowledgeable, patient and she impressed my mom, that's really hard to do. She discussed all aspects of the car buying experience with us. She detailed every big and little line item in laypersons terms. She was honest and open about our specific situation and informed us of all of our available options, which surprisingly were many. We discussed down-payments, monthly/bi-monthly payments, vehicle options and at no time did we ever feel pressured into buying a car or feel as though we were being sold a car we did not want. We reached an option that was great for us and became the owners of 2015 KIA Forte. This car is gorgeous. This was the most pleasant experience I have ever had in a car dealership. From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we drove away with our new car. Every employee in there was professional and helpful. Raquel, is a ROCKSTAR!! Back in May of 2015 I test drove a car that this dealership had under their “lease to own” program. This car was supposed to be covered under their warranty. $1000 down and everything would be fine afterwards as long as I was on time with payments pretty simple right? Wrong! After they got my money and I left the dealership a bunch of lights came on the dashboard a few hours after. Unfortunately for me I bought the car on a Saturday so the next day they were closed. That same evening I called the dealership and told them I wanted to give the car back and the manager insisted that I just keep the car through the weekend. He even had me under the assumption that he would even give me a bit of an extension on returning the vehicle so that he’d still be able to give me my money back. I took his advice and kept the car but I wasn’t able to drive it due to the fact that the next day the horn stopped working and the brakes became soft as if the brake fluid had been leaking out of its reservoir. The airbag light came on as well and the steering wheel seemed to want to do whatever it wanted and the car started to accelerate on its own. At this point this car was a complete DEATH TRAP on top of that it was a Pontiac G6 so don’t even get me started on crash test ratings. On Monday I called and called and you’d think they would take this matter in immediately they didn’t pay me any mind and I didn’t hear from anyone that entire day. I drove to the dealerships hat evening and insisted they take the car back and they came up with every excuse in the book. Not to mention that their repair shop was next door so it could’ve been done in a flash. MY ISSUES WITH THEIR VEHICLE WAS NOT PRIORITY, AS A CUSTOMER I FELT LIKE COMPLETE TRASH. The next day I went back to the dealership first thing in the morning and they sent me over to the shop. This is where everything turned into complete B***s***. The people at the shop told me that that Tuesday morning was the first time they had called them and they didn’t have the proper personnel to do any repairs on the car which meant that I had to come back AGAIN the following day. So now it’s Wednesday and legally my time is running out. The people at the shop had the car pretty much the entire day and to this day I feel like Drivetime had something to do with that because I literally got my car back right after they closed. I literally sat at that shop the whole day. Once they were finished looking at the car they fixed the light problems and the brakes. However, the horn, the steering wheel and the self acceleration was still an issue. Which still made the car a road Hazard. On top of that they have you sign this form so it makes it virtually impossible for you to sue them so they know what they’re doing because if you don’t sign it you won’t be leaving with a vehicle. Mind you all of this time I’m missing time at work because I needed the car for work so that put me under more of a financial burden. Anyway after that day I was pretty much screwed so I tried to stick it out. After a few days they fixed the car enough but then the CHECK ENGINE light came on and they couldn’t seem to fix the issue. My time was running out and I had to take the car through multiple inspections. One of them was so I could get an extension on temporary tags but the car failed all of the inspections. Luckily being a DC resident I was able to get temp tags through them. So I used the car to pretty much get me a down payment to get another vehicle. On the last day of my temporary tags I got another car and gladly gave them their vehicle back. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CAR AVOID DRIVETIME AT ALL COSTS. Put this business out of commission they do not deserve to do business with the public. They are full of sleazy staff and the owners of these businesses should be ashamed of themselves.

This was an amazing experience. My search started 3 months ago when my car was stolen. Every dearlership told me I needed a cosigner. I was reluctant because I didn't want to ask anyone to do that for me. My very last attempt I did the online application at Drive Time. The very next morning I got a call saying my application was approved and I could come in when I was ready. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed. I was greeted with a smile from everyone, and a willingness to serve my need. I was introduced to Kinea and she was AMAZING!!!! When I walked in I had another vehicle in mind, but she showed me something bigger and newer. I truly appreciate the time and hard-working dedicated to me by the Drive time team. Drivetime in Marlo Heights, MD was absolutely the worst car buying experience I have ever had. They had the car I wanted at the price I wanted, however the APR was ridiculous. You wait hours just to see a sales person. Even after I paid the down payment in full and provided all the documentation in “paper form” I still had to come back a second day for delivery of my vehicle. I was beyond frustrated and if it wasn’t for the fact I truly liked my car and hadn’t found the price anywhere else I would have terminated the deal. In 2019 when you can buy a car online it should not take three days to buy a car from anywhere. I would say their total unorganized business and lack of customer service was the reason for my horrible buying experience. My advice to Drivetime would be to never keep a customer waiting idle instead be sure you give the customer a reason to stay.

The customer service is great when they are making the sale. However the service after the sale is horrible and neglectful.. We bought our car in November we wanted to talk to the person who sold it to us who was the GM when our brake problem occurred. We got excuses like there is no one here by that name, he is on rounds, on a call or a meeting. He is on vacation or out of town. They ran the clock down on the warranty and I had to come out of pocket for $285.00 to replace brakes that look like that were the very first pair installed and now the front brakes have just gone bad and I am on the hook for another $285.00. The first pair were installed before I even made the first payment. This particular location is a big fan and user of caller id. So if you have a problem, become familiar with Google Voice and call from a different number every time.. Also when we got our tags they were wrong too. With Tax Refunds coming out I just want to put potential car buyers on notice of this location. If you buy a car from here have it inspected and put on a rack by a professional BEFORE you sign the contract. I knew better and didn't. This would've been cheaper and better than paying the $570.00 for new brakes. Half of which I paid before I made the first payment. They will also beg you for a Google Rating. DO NOT give them until after you have had at least 30 days with your vehicle and are able to speak to their responsiveness (or lack of) to any concerns you may have.
