    Colburn Financial Reviews

The whole recruiting process is misleading, at least with Andy Tate. He says it's not about the money, but every concern I've brought up has been responded to with how much money I'd be making. Colburn Financial is either owned or partners with Symmetry Financial. Symmetry provides the leads that Colburn advertises. These leads must be bought by individual agents. In order to make "real money," an agent must recruit agents under him or her. I've heard the pitch before. They are not much different from Primerica, Mona Vie, Advocare, or any other MLM. Commission structure is nice, 70% to begin. 75% of commission is advanced at the beginning of the sale, 25% is released over months 10-12. One can receive 10% of sales by agents recruited under him or her. A 10:1 ratio of money made to leads purchased is suggested. To make $100,000 per year, $200 in leads per week should be purchase. I assume $200 gets you around 700 leads since the required amount of dials for new agents hovers around 350. Interviewer suggested over half the leads don't remember requesting information. So, $200 gives you about 175 actual warm leads. Through these warm leads a new agent should write at least one policy. That's $100 invested to write a policy per week, or $5,000 per year for 50 policies that should net you $100,000 gross income. This example is for a full time agent. Also, one must note that he or she must become licensed in their state before he or she can actually write a policy. While "training" it is suggested that you practice selling to a friend or family member. The Interviewer suggested that the training is mostly through weekly call ins and self paced videos. I did not get this information until after nearly 4 hours of interviews over 3 phone calls. +1 star for politeness. -4 stars for not being forthcoming when I specifically asked if it was a MLM, attempting to double talk around "It's not about the money," using word play to try and deceive.

I spoke with a man named Brody Boston. He seemed really nice and professional but then the second call came and it seemed like he just didn’t have a care in the world he said a lot of things that would have made me a great fit in the company and then told me he doesn’t think that it would be a good fit for me. So not only did he turn a 360 based on what he thought of me, they don’t even have a office in Owensboro the location I was applying for but that’s where the posting was so to me I just lost all respect for the company.

Great group of people who just want to help others. They will get you insured, protect your family and can even help with any debt you have. Give them a chance and help prepare yourself and your family from the worst. Life happens fast and never know what next day brings so make sure you protect your family and loved ones.
