Cobalt Credit Union Longo Dr, Bellevue

So I’m currently out of state to help out with a family emergency and I got a call from Cobalt saying my account had been compromised. The customer service representative helped me shut down that card and told me that a new card would be sent out without telling me how long it’d take. I should have asked but I was flustered. After a whole week and some odd days I called to ask about shipping and the representative told me 7-14 business days which was no big deal at the time. It has officially been 14 business days as of today and I called them just to make sure that my card had been sent. She told me there must of been a glitch because it wasn’t showing that a card had been issued and that she would send out a new card which would take another 7-14 business days if not longer because of shipping delays from COVID. So now I’m going to be waiting over a month for a new card that is going to be sent to my home address that I’m not currently at. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience and I will be shutting down both my savings and checkings accounts with them. Oh, and another annoying tibit about this whole mess has been that the person who stole my card number was using Samsung pay with my pin from West Palm Beach, Florida. In order to set up a mobile card you have to call your bank and they have to verify your information. I’m not sure exactly what information is needed for Samsung pay given that I have Apple Wallet but I cannot imagine its much different from the information needed for Apple. They want your phone number, address, and card information. So clearly the security measures are not great

We have an auto loan with Cobalt. We have paid more than our monthly payment since the beginning. They keep putting late fees and insurance fees (which we have proven to them we have had) and we keep having to fight with management on this. Cobalt has been frodulent and underhanded since they bought out SAC credit union. SAC was honest and followed banking laws. Cobalt has partook in many illegal and deceitful practices; including illegally garnishing a federal benefit for a disabled veteran, deleting banking records, and various other incidences. This is on our account alone. With their dishonest practices, hopefully they will be investigated by the FBI. These deceitful and illegal banking practices are very much like an affront to terrorism and money laundering.

Absolutely horrible!! They put a hold on my debit card and it was after hours, so not able to get a hold of anyone until tomorrow!!!!!

Weve been with them for almost 2 years and we have had nothing but problems almost daily. If youre looking for a bank/credit union, look elsewhere unless you enjoy wasting time out of your day just because they are careless. The staff are friendly but the over all concept and the way they do things is awful

They don't work well with POA's.
