Citizens Independent Bank W Broadway Ave, Robbinsdale

This bank has been racist towards me and also harassed me. 1st I brought in my own retirement check and was treated like I stole it. Every time I came in customer service was poor but I stayed hoping things would get better. Then I applied for a Loan but since it was a small amount it was typed up as an Overdraft Protection Plan I refused to sign it so I was given a typed up made up looking letter stating it was a loan. After 2 years of this horrible treatment I chose to go to another bank but I kept my accounts open so I could still pay off my loan but once they noticed that no more direct deposits was coming they starting charging me late fees putting my checking account at -$175 and my savings $-70 in fees. I tried to explain and ask for the fees to be taken off and close my accounts but they refused. Now it has been like 4 months since I started this loan and I have not received a statement or nothing so a month ago I agreed to pay but can you please send me a statement. I finally receive a letter now it's back to being a OD plan and interest was added. This bank has been nothing but unfair I see that this bank is unfair and unwilling to treat black people fair so I will put all my evidence together so I can take them to court and suggest anybody with similar problems to do the same.

Bad customer service they don’t care about their customers they charge for every single thing their balance report is slow , ATMs are slow online banking app works when it wants to, The bankers are rude at the window , you call customer service they’re rude all around BAD customer service I’ve been with them since I was 15 I’m 25 now and nothing has changed except for the look of the card, very rude slow and outdated company, i’m so happy I’m finally moving on

My wife spent some money from my checking account unknowingly from her phone and it caused my account to go negative. I called the branch and asked to waive the overdraft fees and that I would pay what I owed but the person who answered was rude and when I finally got the manager on the line he was also rude and refused in any way to help out. I wouldn’t recommend this bank if you have issues they don’t know how to deal with them.

I love this bank! It's exactly what I want in a bank, friendly, helpful and not trying to push new "products."
