My experience with carhop has been am absolutely nightmare.Not only did they sell me a cafor more than what it was worth but had enough issues that has cost me a fortune. They also will tell you something when you make arrangements to pay it off then tell you have to pay more So don't go here is not worth

I decided to go with a Dodge avenger 2008, I had to pay $354 a month for my car note. After leaving the Car-lot my headlights were no longer working and after three months my calibers went out on The vehicle which the warranty did not cover, that was $900 out of my pocket. I also had to replace the battery and the alternator because my car constantly would shut off or not start up. After experiencing way more problems and having to pay out of pocket, I decided I no longer wanted the car and that I will rather do a voluntary repossession.They told me that I would have to basically stop paying my car notes and that they would come tow it after three months and sell it in an auction and I will pay the difference. I took their advice and stop paying my car note and they immediately started to harass me to pay my notes I explained the conversation I had with one of the employees there. They told me that I will still have to pay the notes until they decided to come tow the car and sell the car in the auction. Which was not what I was told. They decided to ignore what I was explaining and never came to get the car even after three months of me not paying, now the car has collected tickets since the snow and has been towed by the city! at least it’s not my problem anymore.

They are very helpful and they will make sure that you drive home in a vehicle. You have to be employed and have a steady income though. Julius really helped me out after I told him my situation. I live my car now and it’s a true upgrade for us. Awesome respectful employees there.

I didn’t want to leave any stars. I purchased 2 vehicles through Carhop and with a month both engines started leaking major oil and I was accused of not putting any in both cars needed new engines. For my first car, I didn’t get it back for 3 months and that engine worked worse then the original. For my second car, new engine, it was brought back the next day for major oil leaks and was told that they fixed the valve,, bring it home and it’s still leaking oil where I’m adding a quart & half in everyday. Carhop denied fixing it under their warranty and I had to make arrangements with the mechanic to get it fixed. I recommend that you stay far away from this location and never buy from them.

Apparently this is the corporate office. I found it after looking for several years. I can't write a review for any location in Saint Louis, MO, because they are debt chasers. They swooped into our low income neighborhoods, profited off the backs of struggling people and skipped town. Many of their cars have replacement parts that were taken straight from junkyards. Yeah, your little warranty. I can tell what you did because I had my mechanic show me the orange spray paint on several of your "parts". This is used to mark parts that were taken from salvage vehicles! I had numerous issues with the car I bought from CarHop. Thankfully, I had a caring shop next down the street that helped me get through the loan. These are the issues I had: axles, engine valve cover, blown head gasket, alternator seizing, radiator busted, idle air control, mass air flow sensor, torque converter locking up, power steering rack and pinion, tensioners, timing chain. I paid 11, 000 for a 2000 Ford Escort in 2014-2017 from this sham of a company. I spent almost that to keep it running. Please do my state a favor and never set up business here ever again.

April was so helpful to me today as I pleaded with her not to take My vehicle. I've been very I'll with Covid-Pneumonia and trying to recovery so I haven't been back to work I have been paying on my Vehicles as My daughter went to get a Full-time job. Her an all of my grandchildren had Covid in November I the worse now. Thank you Carhop for working with Us.......

Honestly was super nervous to come in and attempt buy my first car today. Fay was very sweet, funny, and helpful answering any questions I had, making sure everything was easy to understand and I even had a few good laughs with her! Definitely took any of the stress and anxiety I was having right away. Talk about turning a frown upside down!! From my initial contact with Chris to my purchasing experience with Fay...they were a solid five stars. Fay went above and beyond to make certain I not only drove off the lot, but drove off the lot with what I wanted. Not to mention what I WANTED was about 30 cars deep in the garage. She didn't even flinch. She did everything she could to make me happy. My day was a rough one but this experience hands down changed it up.

I've used carhop for a few years. The car I have currently is valued at about $3k on Kelly Blue Book. They are charging me 12k. I also had my entire engine replaced under warranty and not even a year later the same issue pops up and they are unwilling to fix their mistake. They want me to buy a whole new engine...again. I do not recommend Carhop to anyone.

This is the definition of lemon shop. Do you remember the movie Maltida someone bonded cars with glue and sent them out? That is this company. I went in complaining that I needed a car to fit my family and not noisy because the muffler on my current car was busted. My only thing I did not want a mini van. So what’s the first thing they do put me in a mini van!!! Then when I refuse that they ask me to come up with more money for a 3rd row Honda Pilot. I drive the car everything is okay I notice it needs brakes they say no problem. So I buy the car two weeks later the whole muffler falls off! Yes they painted and bonded it enough to last past their 7 day return policy! Then another problem starts coming it needs all four new tires. Now 4 months later with all maintenance provided my engine is seizing. They charged me 9,889.00 for. 2005 Honda Pilot which was only worth 4,500.00 the minute I pulled off the lot. 10,000.00 for a car I now have to put over 5,000.00. 15,000. Later for a 2005. They have done nothing to try to fix the issue or try to make up for it. Used vehicle I understand will have problems but not as major as this. They also lie on the car reports my car says no accidents but all over the truck it is bonded and painted and pulled part for being worked on in an ACCIDENT! To write and respond that used cars have problems is quite disgusting. You sold me a car that almost killed me because it had a problem I couldn’t or no one else could see because you bonded and spray painted it. I provided al maintenance and understand that used cars have problems but not as many problems as the price of the car. Not a problem that almost kills my whole family because exhaust is coming into my car. The lemon law is real and I have already filed with the bbb Let’s fast forward a month almost 20,000 into a 2005 car no help they sold me a car with a bad engine and faulty exhaust system! No help!

My husband and I came in looking for help to rebuild our credit. Thinking we wouldn't be able to make something happen, we were not optimistic. However that feeling quickly changed when Chris (Branch manager) helped us. He was able to get us into a very nice affordable vehicle. He was absolutely wonderful. We could not have asked for a better experience. Seriously 5 out of 5 for sure. Highly recommend him and his CarHop team. Thank you for making it easy and stress free for us.

Worst experience of my life. I'm still dealing with these crooks! They talked my daughter out of trading in her 2 day old vehicle who's warning lights came on as she rolled out of the lot. They said she just needed to get a diagnostic done on it. She made the appointment as requested at one of the shops on their list (you can't go to any mechanics other than THEIRS). Had to Uber to/from work for 2 days and when she went to pick her vehicle up they hadn't even looked at it yet! Covid happened and made it hard to get it in (she also got Covid). They made her feel like it was HER fault nothing was working correctly. Even her wipers completely stopped working during the 1st snowstorm! This has been going on since she bought it in August. Round and round and round. When it stalled on her way to work they said she still needed to get a diagnostic done. I had it towed to OUR mechanic and he said that the car would be considered TOTALLED because it was in such bad shape the repairs would be more than it's worth! Our mechanic told us to report them to tbe Attorney General (we did) because they charged her $11,000 for an already totalled vehicle that Kelly Blue Book rated as worth $6,000 in "fair" condition. I'm so angry with this company. Tbe BBB has so many similar bad reviews that I'm SHOCKED they're still in business!!! Buyer beware!! Have ANYTHING you consider purchasing from these thieves THOROUGHLY checked out before you sign on any dotted lines. :(
