Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) Independence Blvd, Virginia Beach

I’ve been banking with B of A since I went to college in 2007 and this location has to be one of my favorite ones. Norma is an exceptional Relationship Manager. She knew I was going through a lot with some paperwork and she notarized it for me. She treated me very kind and she knows her stuff. She also is going to help me get approved for a home when I am ready! Today I went in for some assistance with fraud. I didn’t get the nice blonde lady’s name who greeted me but she helped with getting a digital card. She also gave me tips on how to avoid it! Thank you to the awesome ladies at this branch for all you do to make customers feel welcomed.

As an visitor to the area, I found the staff to be quite friendly and courteous. I was greeted upon entering the bank, something I was not expecting. The staff were attentive to my needs, making the extra effort to assist me when I had a minor issue with the ATM. To sum it up, it was a very pleasant banking experience with great customer service.

Always a pleasant experience when visiting the Bank of America Haygood location. The branch managers and employees are always eager to assist with a smile and I always leave feeling like they care about my financial goals. I highly recommend this branch for all of your banking needs!

Heather is the SLOWEST teller! She acts like she doesn’t want to be there. And this isn’t the first time. I bank there regularly and when it takes a while, we say “We got Heathered” pick up the pace!!! 🦥

No planned changes to my loyalty to BOA...but there is reason to knock this location down a few notches after a gradual decline of counter service, now drive up service has closed. There is a silver lining. So let's get to some great! The Haygood Bank of America just completed an interior renovation. New paint, carpeting and the offices all have privacy walls. A few other things moved around, but it looks super! Also the staff for the most part remains the same, it appears a few favorites are gone. The service remains friendly when you get to the counter. On the negative there is no longer a staff person that greets you. This has totally went away. The challenge for me over the year or so is staffing, it's been very weak. BOA is pushing hard for customers to not do face to face and I imagine they are not alone. I enjoy doing my banking with a real person and I always have. Consistently this location and others have one teller. Back ups occur and no one steps in even when they could. After the July remodel they closed the outdoor teller. This was convenient and often faster than going inside. I spoke with the long time teller who now works inside about this. She said it's a nationwide BOA trend. CA supposedly does not have them at all. So to wrap up, I'm not changing banks. However, they are no longer in my mind a 5 either. A 3.5 seems to suit them best and rounding down.

What a great experience I had this morning during my visit at this location! Upon arriving I was kindly welcomed and asked what my needs were. I was just cashing a check and was directed to the tellers. The lady that waited on me was so nice. It makes you feel good when people really seem to know their customers. I LOVE this branch!!!

I love this branch! I always have a great experience when I visit this branch. I am always promptly greeted when I walk through the door with a big smile and an offer of help. The staff is always professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend you visit this great location to handle all your banking needs.

5 🌟 for Norma I have visited lots of bank of america locations from NY, NJ, VA and other locations in the past but never I saw friendly and professional person like Norma she help me in 10 minutes. Ok I went to bank of america in virginia beach blvd and peoples working there told me we can't give you what you ask about it I told them I want to speak with the manager and the manager she said same thing. So I visited this location in independence amd the first person I met was Norma. She did all she can for help me she called customer service and she did great job and I got what I was looking for it. I thanks God because I met Norma Norma she deserve to be manager of all bank of america in virginia beach, we need people like you. Riad algerie

Awesome experience, staff was extremely helpful. Got great referral for new Merrill financial advisor. Moved all my retirement accounts from Wells Fargo.

Incredibly rude tellers and non existent customer service. A simple transaction was met with unwarranted hostility. Take your business to one of the several much more friendly local banks.
