Bank of America Financial Center Reviews

This branch was just built and it only has 1 teller window. Literally. The worst design ever. They say it's because it's not the kind of area where there are a lot of hand to hand transactions, etc, but there's no one in the offices to help either. Had to wait 30 minutes to do a simple transaction. Waste of space. Do not come here.
We appreciate you coming in. You may be able to save time by using an ATM or by completing your request using our online banking or mobile app. Signing up for the mobile app is simple: https://www.bankofamerica.com/online-banking/mobile-and-online-banking-features/overview/

I was there about 2 hours and they couldn’t help me with any of my requests. They are short staffed. They booked today and tomorrow to wiring money. They gave me online banking phone number I was on phone with them more than 40 minutes to set up a wire, but at the end he said he can’t help me with that and I have to go to the bank again.

This is the worst BOA branch ever! I'm giving it one star because that is the lowest option available. They always have one teller working regardless of how long the customer line is.

Bank of America is the MOST notorious bank of assessing fees. Last year they settled $66 million dollar lawsuit for assessing unnecessary charges to the account. Thus, the stupidity of opening an account with BOA is all mine. But I wanted to share my experience with everyone and my stupid decision to open a credit card with Bank of America. I made a payment online and accidentally added an extra "0" to my payment making the payment much higher than it needed. Immediately, within a few seconds, when I acknowledged that there is an extra "0" in the payment, before the confirmation number can appear I hit the back button and processed a new payment. NO CANCELLATION of payment option is there, which most banks have on their site (confirmed with a BOA representative that there is no option). The reason no option is available, so BOA can charge customers an extra fee for these reasons. This is exactly what happened to me. After processing a new/correct payment with a less "0" after a few seconds, the new payment was processed. Subsequently, I contacted BOA and the other bank through which the payment was being posted. I was advised since the extra payment is pending it can be cancelled only after it posts. After it posted, we reversed it, but BOA charged a "Returned Check Fee" of $35.00. Even after explaining to them that a correct payment was made within a few seconds, and an incorrect payment with an extra "0" should not had been charged as BOA provides no cancellation of the payment option they refused claiming it is a valid charge. It is not a valid charge if inadvertently a payment is made with an extra "0" and an option to edit not provided to the customer; thereby, BOA should not charge to reverse a fee. If BOA is to charge a fee, but a justified and valid reason is provided an assessed fee of $35.00 should be refunded. Unfortunately, you are dealing with BOA. Imagine, for example, instead of making a $5000.00 payment you make a 50000.00 payment. There is no option to cancel it, after you hit the send button. No other bank does that, and if you do reverse it even after making a correct 5000 payment BOA will charge you a $35.00 fee. This is not a branch's fault, but Bank of America is not a bank that I would recommend to anyone.

We’ve never had a great experience here, but this morning topped it off. We scheduled an appointment for Notary several days ago and the individual isn’t even here. The BOA system allows you to schedule appointments when folks aren’t available. Horrible location, horrible customer service.

No knowledge of proper prioritization and communication. What is sad that’s it’s coming from the branch manager. Moreover, processes aren’t designed to take care of max clients but rather lots of bottlenecks and miscommunication. There are branches where they are able to take care of urgent cases without disrupting other services. Also I’m a process consultant who can help:) only if they admit and like to improve though

This bank never has more than one teller. Be prepared to spend 20 minutes standing in line.

I used ATM to withdraw $100. I did not specify denomination, but I thought it would be 5 20s. Instead got a Ben Franklin. I went inside to exchange and I was told no tellers or cash on hand (at a bank).

Convenient location although exiting the parking lot can be a bit difficult since you can exit on either River or Falls Roads, but very close to the intersection. There's plenty of parking behind the building, but there are several reserved spaces for the bank along the drive when you enter from Falls Road. I prefer going to this location cause the staff are friendly, knowledgeable about the products BoA offers and they are at a quicker pace than some of the other locations I've visited.

How does the bank manager NOT know corporate policy?! Simply amazing who gets hired these days... Especially to represent Bank of America!
