Everything is online now, and if you show up it’s a 50/50 chance you will be treated with either dignity or a baffling amount of disrespect. I know this is a stressful job, but don’t take it out on your next customer who is being polite

As an a Security Officer of this place the staff are doing there best they can to assist individuals with what they need. They end up dealing with individuals that have a difficult time understanding the process the DES has in place. The staff of a DES are very polite and treat everyone with respect. So the next time you come into a DES please understand the staff are doing what they can go assist and alittle respect goes a long way.Yes the process is slow but they are attempting to assist billions of people.

The office is obviously working extra hard and rolling out programs that are brand new and one of a kind. It’s quite remarkable that they were able to go what they did!! I was very happy with the services I received and thank them for their valuable and essential work!

I've been staying at either a shelter, or my mother's couch for the last week thanks to these people as I have no electricity because my unemployment benefits have been withheld. They sent paperwork on an AZ job connect appointment to the wrong address, even though I confirmed my address with them multiple times. The person I talked to told me I needed to make an appointment, I was given the wrong address for the office, so I returned to my moms to contact them and tell them I needed to reschedule my appointment, they told me I did not need an appointment to go ahead and return, it was three days after I had been there the first time and would have went day one if I'd known I didn't need an appointment. I handled the appointment, and was told that my benefits would be paid the following day, when they weren't I contacted the d e s hotline. I was told that because I did not respond to a letter that was sent when I missed the appointment I was never told about as they had been sending everything to the wrong address, there was still an active problem with my case. They also claimed that it had been handled before I called so why I did not receive my payment I will never know. It is now the following day, they told me again I would receive my payment today. It is Saturday I was under the impression that I could not receive my payment the weekend, I was reassured by the supervisor who called me back after the first person refused to transfer me to their supervisor that the payment should go out today. She also deemed it necessary to comment that unemployment is just a stopgap and not meant to last forever, I had never said anything along those lines so I assume she just thinks I'm a bum. Although she didn't seem to understand that I was in a shelter because my benefits haven't been paid, so maybe she just lacks in logical reasoning in general. Either way very rude and poor customer service.) I called the DES hotline just now it said that my payment was issued 3 days from now after Labor Day, I don't know how a payment could be issued previously on a day in the future but that is neither here nor there. I suppose it's still early and I may misunderstand and the payment could go through that does not seem likely. I just want to go home. I have really never felt so helpless in my life. I've been in tears, I've been enraged, I've been insulted by their people. I'm completely numb at this point.

Received a message from my employer regarding a fraudulent unemployment claim, called the number on the AZDES website, AZUI site and even the number that was listed for more assistance in the email that confirmed they received by fraud report. Not one of them got me to a real person to talk to. All were automated and frustrating. Are you working for us the people of AZ? What a shame, no wonder tax payer dollars are wasted and fraudulent claims are being paid because no one is there to answer the phone.
