This is my fourth visit to the very high caliber Alma School Pawn and Gold. The staff is very Knowledgeable, efficient, and pleasant. I have always been treated with the utmost respect. What other pawn shop gives reminder calls, and gives you 5 extra working days after the due date? Not only that, if you lose your paperwork it only a $7 dollar fee🔥

Amazing place! My first time there was the other day and I can tell you they have all my future business. Clean and organized. And the manager Judith is amazing. She was very friendly and quick. Minerva and Karla were friendly and easy to work with. Only criticism would be that I had a platinum ring, but they weren’t familiar enough with platinum to feel comfortable taking it. Other than that, I can highly recommend them.

Anna and Nirvana have been super nice and professional every time Ive gone in to pawn or sell, even though I was skeptical and not exactly the easiest customer to deal with both times I went there. I can say with full confidence that they give the best prices on gold and jewelry out of anybody in the East valley (trust me, I checked). They are honest, and I will be going back next time I need to pawn or sell anything.

After reading other's reviews, I had high hopes for Alma School Pawn. We visited today, and while they probably gave us low-fair value for our items, the customer service was lousy. Rather than the friendly, helpful service mentioned in the majority of other (real?) reviews, the two young ladies working there hardly spoke to us, never smiled or said please or even thank you at the end of our transaction. They spoke to each other in Spanish much of the time. To those of us who don't speak Spanish, and who happen to be your customers, this is as rude as if you whispered to each other in front of us. One of these charming ladies said to me, 'Hey, will you move?" so that another customer could step in front of us. 'Hey, will you move?'! A refresher on customer service is in order here. We will likely not take our business here in the future.

I had high hopes for the pawn shop, and I was not disappointed whatsoever they gave very reasonable prices for the items I brought in, the customer service was excellent. I would strongly recommend Minerva and Nirvana they were very clear on everything and they were very kind.

So my boyfriend and I were on Alma School & 8th Ave in Mesa and we saw a pawn shop so we stopped in and let me tell you how amazing Christian and Eric were. They certainly had the best service I have ever experienced. They are awesome and they treated us with the utmost respect and I will never go to any pawn shop except for Alma School Pawn and Gold.. I highly recommend this Pawn Shop to everyone I know. My boyfriend says and I quote "I've never been treated as good as I was here at any other Pawn shop, they appreciate the value of of what I'm bringing in to them to Pawn". So we thank you guys, Eric and Christian. We will be back..... and not just to get our stuff out of Pawn. Lol

Christian and Eric were really helpful. On a Friday night, just a few minutes before closing me and my two sons stopped by the shop to get a video game for the weekend. The door was locked and they noticed my kids were with me. They gave us a few minutes to get a good game in fact it was a game that Christian had recommended and we really appreciate it.THANK ALOT YOU GUYS

This place pulled up as best price, best reviewed, & customer satisfaction when i googled best price for gold. And they didnt lie. Theyre friendly and honest & professional. This is my 2nd visit just to get rid of mismatched gold jewelry. Not worth much but they dont make u feel like it's wasting their time. I got some cash, cleaned out Jewelry drawer & a free dvd from Anahi for mentioning review when i searched for gold buyers. Thank you! Recommend this place for sure.

I went down to pawn a ring 14k and a real diamond in the middle it was a very nice ring that cost me alot. Needed money for a bill and since i seen such good reviews i decided to give them a try. There were 2 women who greeted me upon arrival She took my ring,w weighed it and offered me $19 dollars lol I was very offended and felt like she was trying to rip me off. I of course declined the offer and left. I went to super pawn in Phoenix and not only was the location great but they had AWESOME customer service. They checked my ring, weighed it and i was given $120 which was very reasonable on a pawn and i left happy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS ALMA SCHOOL PAWN AND GOLD THEY'RE SCAMMERS. They're located in a very awful area and next to a liquor store i should of knew from the start upon arrival

As I rushed to get to the pawn shop after work to see if I can pawn my gold chain to get some money to hold me over until I receive my upcoming check, Judith and Ana were very kind and let my boyfriend and I in the store just 2 minutes before closing. The ladies here were great. After dealing with nothing but rudeness at a few other local places it was refreshing to finally be treated like a human. Most places are quick to judge simply based on how you look, and assume/treat you like you arent intelligent. The service here was awesome. The supervisor was very polite and helpful. She definitely went above her mandatory duties to help me out in demoing my equipment for a quick loan. The ladies were very friendly and very patient. This store steals your private personal information. They record your license number if you use a card which can be used to look up your address, police records and a number of other things. It's private information. The first time I went here I told them that's not ok to write down because it's sensitive private information. Finally they called a manager or owner and after talking to the person on the phone they processed my payment without putting me at risk and storing my personal private information. I went again today and a lady named Judith was there and I tried to make a purchase and again they tried to take my personal information. I told them we went through this last time and she said she didn't care who they called last time or what they said she was getting my private personal information. A signature proves I was there. I won't shop here again and they have a whole pile of information from people putting them at risk for ID theft.

I was so stranded when I had an emergency ticket from a last year toll and I needed to handle that ASAP and when I visited Alma School Piwn, Judith was not only kind but welcoming and had such a good heart, I managed to settle my ticket on time and because of this store, no police officer can pull me over about a suspended license or an unusual stop, when I returned to the store, Judith even played with my son and you walk in this store with smiles you leave with smiles, I fully recommend if you ever need anything, this is one of my best Pawn Shop Experience ever. Thanks Guys, keep up the good work.

Horrible pawn shop. They are a joke. I brought in beautiful jewelry, they told me they only pay top dollar for boring old round shape diamonds. When people actually are seeking the unique like princess, marquis, emerald cut diamonds. But what can you expect when you leave two young ignorant employees to run the business.

Great service, friendly staff, and great prices. I walked in to pawn my t.v and Judith, the employee who was working, was so helpful and gave me an awesome loan on my t.v. My t.v. was a little old but i got a great deal on it, all with the great help from Judith. I will definitely come back to do more business with them. Shop has some really great deals. I went in looking for a tablet and actually Janine helped me a better deal on a desk top computer for my home office. Janine mentioned their month end red dot sale and I will be going back in to see what great deals I can find.

Gave this pawn shop a call early at 9am when they say they would open and was greeted by a gentleman named Eric. He later told me he would like to take a look at the item I was selling, so I went to the pawn store and let him take a look. We further discussed price and he was more than helpful showing me what my item was selling for and what he was willing to give me. Of course he gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. I was very impressed with the fact that before the shopped even opened I was able to get a quote on my items from the owner!! He also sent over are verbage so when I got there the work was done! I dealt with Judith who was great to work with!! I will go again for sure!!!

Minerva n Karla gave the absolute best price on an Asus gaming laptop that used normally goes for $800+ for less than half that. Honestly I'm blessed to find this pawn store, just on the luck of Google bringing me a search for the best place to sell a used laptop.
