A-1 Hawk Se Division St, Portland

Recieved stolen items and refuse to return them. They paid $350 for an item that was reported stolen to the police. The police put a hold on said item and they are refusing to return my property(Sony PlayStation 5) Ive been a loyal customer of a1 hawk for many years but will no longer be doing business with them. Can't believe my experience at this shop the other day. I took in 260g of silver and they offered me 40 dollars which I had to take because I just had ran out of gas, of course I'm gonna go get it back but it's just crazy how bad some of these people get away with ripping you off. If your trying to pawn any jewelry or metals I suggest going somewhere different. What really made me upset is while I was in there this girl comes in with silver flat wear just random assortment and they give her top dollar for every oz of silver there was then employees bost to eachother how she's a crook after she leaves so I'm thinking oh so you know you just bought stolen items and didn't bother you a bit and you even pay out top dollar for them but not my hard earned just made me sick.

Such a great experience! I went in, wanting to purchase a guitar, but was hesitant as i really don't know much about them. Stephanie went above and beyond, from the minute i walked thru the door. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, answering any questions i had. I will most definitely be back. IMO there isn't a pawn shop in the Portland area that can compete with these guys. A little bit of a wait to talk to a sales associate. But once it is your turn they are extremely friendly, helpful and ready to get the best deal on the item of interest. I understand why we waited for a little while they were busy and for a reason. Before coming here we stopped at all that glitters around the corner just to find out they didn’t carry the item we were searching for and dead. Absolutely love this shop.! Always a hello and a warm greeting. Fair prices, easy pawns and one of the best selections in Portland. Parking is ample and the location is central to many neighborhoods. It's my go to shop anytime I need a pawn or just want to collect cool stuff.

A very nice place to find a good tool, the type you wont find in other places for a fair price. Customer Service is Excellent. I really needed a specific type of tool for my collage lab work, and I found it there. They sold it for a fair price, knowing that I'm a student. A very big amount of different type of tools and things, some new, and others used but in good condition. Really nice place, stop by and check it out.

This location is the best locations that I have been to. Even though I didn't get item at exact price I wanted, they helped me with my return and gladly let me get store credit. Can't complain much when prices are already mostly fair.

They gave me so many great deals and were extremely friendly with us even though it was our first time making a deal. They even explained to us " Pawn shops are all about making money" and told us what it is like to work there. For people saying, "I hardly got anything for my trade-in!" You have to realize that they need to make a living. If they buy something for 200$ and sell it for 210$ how much profit do you really think they will make? With that said and done, good job A1 HAWK and most of your other locations as well!!!

Not only do they give fair and honest estimates but they work with you. I have found no other pawn shop that has been able to be so personal with me. It feels like a shop in a small town where they are working with the actual person and community.

These guys buy stolen goods and then want you to pay THEM to recoup their losses. These guys bought a guitar that was stolen from me recently. I had this guitar listed on numerous forums and Oregon stolen records equipment lists, and also filed a police report. When I confronted them about selling my guitar which they had listed on Craigslist, they acted like they didn't care. I had the Portland Police intervene and then A-1 Hawk demanded the money back that they paid for it to the thieves. A-1 Hawk and Loan are the crooks. Do not give them your business.

I’ve been working with these guys for almost 3 -4 years now and as always I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff, the prices, and the quality of tools. I had 16 of my most valuable possessions and not once has anything been returned damage or broken. I recommend the A1HAWK division store to anyone trying to pawn or purchase anything. 😁👍🏼👌🏼

Horrible! They low ball you with loans and have extremely over priced items! Went in to buy a watch and had to wait 10 min for someone to help me get into the case and then none of them worked and we so over priced for the condition they were in. I just left Id suggest if your looking for a loan or nice reasonably priced jewelry or accessories to go down the street to all that glitters!

The item I purchased did not work 100%. I followed the rules and returned with receipt, within a week, and they gave me back my money. Grade A service. I will shop here again. Store is packed with goodies. It might not be the cheapest price in town but they have been fair with me.

On Saturday I walked in and 2 of the 3 workers I saw were talking and their greeting to me wasn't hello, or hi like most places. They looked right at me and brought me in on their conversation as if I had been there the whole time. Awesome greeting! Needless to say I bought a laptop. I brought it home and the Num lock didn't work. I went back on Sunday and told them about it. You'd think you'd get the usual pawn shop run around and for them to tell you all sales final so we don't what to tell you, but not these folks. They were all about making sure I got what I wanted. They HOOKED ME UP!!! Thank you guys, and gals!

As soon as a walk a guy named Richard was real nice. They gave me a good deal I couldn't pass up. I looked everywhere else for the best deal and here it was. I bought a ps3 and amp as a bundle. Couldn't of been more happy. I definitely recommend this A-1Hawk to anyone who wants a good customer service experience with affordable prices.

Horrible customer service on the phone and in person I called for 1 questions about loans and the guy said “please hold” and kept me on the line for 15 min I eventually hung up and called another pawn shop and they answered super fast. Wouldn’t recommend shopping here either the staff are rude and don’t seem to want to help unless you are serious about buying something. If you’re new to Portland don’t shop here. Last time ever shopping here

Took my Chanel bags here to check the authenticity. They were fast and efficient, it only took them 20 mins from the time i walked in to the finishing the process. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to get their stuff check before spending money on something expensive.

I'm a girl that loves jewelry, diamonds in particular. For the 4 years that I've lived in the pacific northwest each time I go into A-1 (Division) they have given me GREAT DEALS with even GREATER customer service. Especially that little white girl and the Hispanic girl with the braces..... 👌🏾❤❤❤

If I could give them zero stars that's what they would get. Now I understand that they need to profit even up to 15% of an item to stay open so even making 30-50% is going to profit the business. They tried to give me $250 for 4 rings and a necklace all gold. Over an ounce of 14k. One of the rings I had appraised in January for $1700. This place is garbage and they prey on people being desperate and broke during this harsh time.

Yuliana was excellent and great customer service skills and just all around pleasant to do business with. Also the owner was a peach as well.

My hubby David and I visit here for great prices on music equipment and jewelry and always get a great deal. They are super helpful if you need to pawn electronics for extra cash for that bill too. A go to place for great customer service.

It´s so handy for me as I travel/move all around to have a little bit of pawn shop 'inside knowledge'. Thanks Danny Kaiser. Danny was my wife's friend from high school. I met Danny years later when he was running the best pawn shop I've ever seen. Danny was subjected of course to my normal 1000 questions about his business over the years. He also told me all the unique and interesting things about his business. Because of all this it's really easy for me to look at the existing pawn shops in in any City and accurately tell you which one is the best. I moved to Portland in July of 2014. When looking at a new city's pawn shops, Size is a big tip off. Normally they will be big or have multiple locations in the area. A-1 Hawk fits both of those. Another tip is to look at their musical equipment and builders tools. Musicians & builders talk to each other about their local pawn shops. Both are looking for someone to work well with them, and also take their expensive equipment seriously. The main location of A-1 Hawk on Division in Portland is so huge and has an amazing selection on both instruments and tools. I already helped a friend buy a guitar from them. It's sweet and he loves it. I bought a special backpack at their other location, it was so nice I ended up selling it to someone who wouldn't leave me alone about it. I got the same price I had paid for it. In the five years I've been in Portland I pawned my guitar probably 10 times. Sure enough, as soon as they got used to me coming back for, they started to increase the money they would loan me for it. I expected this to happen. Is another great example of the old school way of running a good pawn shop. Why would I ever use their competitor now when I can get more cash for my guitar from them.

The staff they have now on division street are the most rude arrogant unprofessional staff I've ever dealt with..they lost or resold an item I brought in and was hesitant to resolve the issue.. there's one gentleman that's very immature walking over to where customer are dealing trying to get them the lowest pay..very unprofessional place..I have just a few more items to get out and I won't be back.. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR ITEM TO A1 HAWK ON DIVISION..THEY DON'T WANT TO GIVE YOU ANY MONEY FOR YOUR ITEMS..THE NEW MANAGEMENT SUCKS!

I pawned a welder and forgot about it. When I remembered and called to see if they still had it. I was 2 months past time. They found it and I was able to get it back. I had to pay an extra fee for the extra time but that is how interest charges work. It was worth 3 grand and they could have just kept it, but I only had to pay the interest charges. I am one happy camper! Thanks guys!

Wow they had everything I needed to set up my studio.. I was shirts few Dallas and they still made sure I received the best quality for my money. I have also pawnd items when in times of need and they always took care of me. Here’s another worthless pawnshop ruhst doesn’t take phones and blue ray players. The idiots at this store told my wife that even know she had a 6S iPhone it was to old. She let the employee know we had no gas and were desperate. Translation they couldn’t of cared less. Don’t waste your time pawning electronics here unless you want to be disrespected.
