I’m beyond happy with my experience at Young Kia. Especially with the salesman, Skyler Cutler, that helped me through the process. He was very patient and kept the focus on the things I was looking for in a vehicle. I was able to trade in my prior truck and get into something that checked all of my boxes. The whole thing was no hassle and very straight forward to get through. I appreciate him as well as the rest of the team for hooking it up!

Preston was a Great salesman, it never seemed like he was pushing me or my wife to drive off the lot in something I didn’t want. The place itself was clean and very friendly. I can't say enough good about this dealership! I haven't found another dealer that offers a three month/3000 mile warranty on a used vehicle! All others we've purchased are strictly "AS IS!" Their warranty is impressive and provided great confidence in our purchase! We found an online listing for a used van that we were interested in and visited the Young Kia showroom to test drive it. Though it was at another one of their car dealerships, they quickly located it and we took it for a test drive. The van was in great condition and met all the specs we were searching for. As we took our test drive however, we were concerned that the engine light blinked on briefly. No worries! They assured us that they would check it out and ensure that it was in top condition before we took it home. We were disappointed to learn that the transmission was failing and needed to be replaced. No worries! They replaced the transmission and made sure everything was in good order before we took possession of our new van. They did this at no additional cost to us and we couldn't be happier with their service!

I'm only giving this 1 star because of the Service Department. I have not worked with Young KIA sales, so I cannot speak to their level of service or lack of service. However, the service department at Young KIA has a lot to be desired. Their communication is terrible, both amongst their staff and with us as a customer. We had an engine replaced in our 2014 KIA Optima due to a recall. This was covered 100% by KIA's warranty and a recall for these engines which was great. However the experience dealing with Young KIA and their service department was a terrible experience. AND they still owe us $600 for a car rental reimbursement while our engine was being replaced and it's been like pulling teeth to get them to respond to me about getting our money. I typically do not write poor reviews, but had to on this one. Not only because of this poor experience in December 2021, but also with two other previous oil changes, they left our car a mess with oil all over the inside of our door, steering wheel and seats. In another instance, they said they rotated our tires along with the oil change, but they did not and lied about it. I will never go to this dealership again for service or to buy a car. Service customers beware!

Just went through the purchase process with Tyler Bills for a new Forte and it was amazing! He made everything super easy and seamless. From the first phone he was super willing to help us get what we wanted super fast. Thought we were going to have to wait months for a new car and ended up only having to wait a few weeks! Definitely recommend Young Kia and Tyler.

Young Kia in layton has been great. Tyler bills was our salesman and from the first phone call he was helpful at every turn. He found an incoming vehicle and got it for me in record time. He has been proactive in helping with all the paperwork and has been awesome as prepping all the finance. The dealership building is very nice and clean. Everyone is so helpful.

Skyler worked with my wife and me. It was a really great experience. We had gone to a different dealership and was not that impressed, so this was a breath of fresh air. Mr Petty great person on the sale of the car, however once the paperwork was signed and they got your money, promises made were not followed through with. Delivery of the vehicle was not as promised. Then he stated that he would provide us with a gas card, which never happened. Called him many times and left messages and even texts with no response for multiple hours. Called the dealership to get the status of the vehicle and asked for the manager or general manager which were also unavailable. Left a message with them and no response. The vehicle was eventually delivered 2 days after the purchase. If you tell the customer you will call them, then do it!

This is the third time I visited this dealership in Layton Utah. Today, I received a phone call saying we got your vehicle. I reminded them to not waste my time due to my busy schedule. So please make sure the vehicle will be available when I arrive. Also reminded them my budget. When I arrived to the dealership not only they showed me a vehicle that's way out of my budget they also told me the vehicle your looking for is all sold out. Really? Now, I did remind them to let me know if my vehicle has been sold or not and make sure the vehicle is at my price range. Well, that didn't happen. This is worst service I ever gotten from a car dealership. Keep in mind I was ready to purchase a vehicle today and after today's visit I will never purchase a vehicle from KIA dealership in Layton, Utah! Keep away! Bad business!!

mark is seriously the best care salesman i’ve worked with. my family has been with kia for about 6 years and we’ve loved every second of it. but mark was by far the best we’ve worked with. he was so caring, funny and honest about the entire process and i really appreciated it. i will only be coming to mark from now on! he’s the best! i will always recommend him to my family and friends because he treats his customers so great!

We bought a new car from Boomer. He helped us get it ordered and stayed in touch with us through the whole experience. And was even patient when I couldn’t decide on a color. We appreciated everything he did for us. I will for sure but all my car through him.

Andrew Johnson helped us to get a new Kia Niro EV. Even though we were purchasing from Idaho he made the process painless. He went out of his way repeatedly to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend!

I spent over $50,000 on a certified pre-owned electric vehicle. They told me that the prior owner took the charging cable, and that I would have to replace it on my own. They also sold me the car with 50 mi worth of battery charge. What was most irritating was that I later found out that the "prior owner" was the sales person selling the car (Mason), so it was in fact him who took the charging cable. The finance person did arrange for a new cable after I complained to him separately. Lastly, they told me they could sell me a level two charger at "cost" for $750. A quick Google search revealed that this is hardly the price at cost. The car is great, but this is a dishonest dealership. I would specifically avoid buying from Mason Cooper or Matthew Laramore (Another review below questions Mason's honesty suggesting consistent behavior).

I thought taking my Kia to a Kia service department would be best. DO NOT take your Kia to this service department. They struggle. They had my car for 3 weeks trying to get all the parts in. I kept trying to call to get an update but It’s hard to get ahold of anyone and once you do they aren’t helpful. After all of that, They put the wrong parts in my car. “We drove it for 22 miles to make sure it was fixed.” Guess what? It wasn’t fixed. I tried to call Scott, the manager. He never would return my calls. Conor wouldn’t either. They finally got the right parts into the car but the only explanation we got is that the parts were “outdated”. This was a horrible experience and who knows what kind of damage they caused to my car.

Communication with this dealership is ATROCIOUS! Order a Carnival in July 2021. It's April 2022 and have yet to receive the vehicle. I get there's a chip shortage... so there's only so much they can do. Tried to get a ballpark date on when my Carnival would be in and can NEVER get a straight answer. Was finally told April 7th. Since I'd be travelling to pick up the vehicle, I want to make sure it's really going to be there. Still can't get a call back. Front desk says they'll call me back at a certain time... hours later, nothing. I call back and they texted the wrong number to let me know a sales manager would be calling me later in the afternoon. Still no call back. If it weren't for my wife wanting this vehicle so bad, I would run from this dealership as fast as possible! Do NOT expect any updates or communication from this dealership if you're ordering a vehicle from them. 100% would not recommend this dealership.

While I have always had a great car buying experience at Youngs, I have to say this dealership stands out. I went in to look at the new Hybrid Sorento and worked with Hunter. He spent a ton of time showing me the in's and out's of the vehicle. Where I had been looking seriously for some time I was sold and so appreciative of all of the information and help, right as I was about to make the purchase an EV6 caught my eye. Hunter was not only willing to show me the car he took me on another test drive and showed me all of the features (basically starting the whole process over). I was not planning on going full electric but with gas prices going nuts it does make the decision a bit easier. I ended up switching! I am the proud owner of an EV6!!! I am so happy with the car I am loyal Subaru fan but I am so impressed with the new Kia line up they make my old car seem like a tin can and I loved my car. I highly recommend you at least check out what Kia has to offer right now and if available ask for Hunter especially if you want someone who is patient and never rushes a decision.

Had my used car serviced here. Could NOT get an ETA on repairs after several attempts until my husband called... NICE! Made me feel that as a female, I wasn't taken seriously. Figures. When husband calls they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. It was 30 minutes to close, and although I could still pick it up after the service dept closed, they couldn't even text me or call me to let me know when my car was going to be ready??? Then, come to find out that while I believed that my windsheild wiper fluid was left empty, they had topped it off with not weather approprate fluid and it froze. Of course I didnt realize until I was driving in the snow. I made a complaint to their service department, and have not gotten a single response back.

Me and the wife have been looking for a family car/suv and we checked out a few places and we’re definitely glad we stopped at Young Kia Justin was our salesman and he definitely wasn’t the typical pushy car salesman, super informative and listened to what we were looking for... sent us home on a overnight test drive and we fell in love with our now new car. We went rounds to close the deal because you have to buying a car right! Lol It was probably our best experience at a dealership And we’ll definitely get another one from them when needed.

Horrible experience with Young Kia. I was shown a car that I was told was available and it was mine only to be told 5 minutes later that it was not available. Then another 5 minutes goes by and it's suddenly available again. I was also told the sticker price was the price of the car until it came to signing the paper work and the car was suddenly $5000+ more than the sticker price. I went ahead and still purchased the car and was assured it would be ready with everything done including the full clear bra I purchased. The car came off the truck Monday and I was told it would be ready by Tuesday night. Never heard anything from Young Kia until I called to find out what was going on when I got off work at 5:30. I was told it would be ready for sure by Wednesday which again I called and it was still not ready. I finally got the car Thursday night. A few weeks later Young Kia called me to make an appointment to put on the clear bra for my car. Something I was assured was going to be done before I initially picked up the car. Now fast forward to this week (3+ months later), I get a call from Young Kia again saying there was a "miscommunication" and the clear bra was not done on my bumper. So now I have to bring it in again for this to be done. If you decide to purchase from here, prepare yourself to get jerked around and have no communication from them. Good luck.

Awful experience. Sales rep lied to my face and I didn’t find out until I was in the financing office. Mason brought out a piece of paper that listed the sales price of the car including fees and additional accessories. My assumption was that the accessories, which can’t be removed at all since they were modifications to the vehicle, were in addition to the sales prices we were negotiating. Which was obvious that they were given that they were listed as a separate item. I didn’t want to pay for them since they were overpriced and were added into the car without our asking. So I trying to get them removed and they wouldn’t. He countered by saying that they were included in the sales price. So I asked him is the total price of the car 45k (42k sales + 3k accessories)? He answered no and said the accessories are included in this sales price of 42k. I wasn’t convinced so I asked a few more clarifying points and he kept assuring me that they were. At that point it seemed like an OK deal given the price of the car and the accessories being priced at a reasonable cost. So we agreed to purchase it. Turns out when I got in the financing office they weren’t included and the total price of the car was indeed 45k. I asked to speak with the rep again and the sales manager and suddenly I had misunderstood and this is always how it was. They insisted on saying that I misunderstood despite the fact the rep specifically told me the total was $42k with the accessories. At this point we decided we didn’t care anymore and just wanted the car and went through with the sale despite the obvious lie from the sales rep. Won’t recommend anyone dealing with Mason, the sales rep, who was over pressuring and lying to get the sale. Our other sales rep, Tyler, was great but apparently wasn’t allowed to do the price negotiation piece for whatever reason. I really liked working with him.

This was the best car buying experience ever! From the girl at the front desk, our salesman Nate, and the finance and service department… everyone at Young’s was amazing!!! I got the exact car I was looking for with no haggling, the finance process was seamless and stress free, and I was taught how to use all the fancy options my new car came with! I had a terrible experience with the Wasatch Kia in Riverdale, to the point that I had to choose between replacing an engine or buying a new car. I went to the Young Kia in Layton to humor my brother in law, he has always had good experiences and wanted to see if they would be able to help. I went in with a terrible attitude and came out with a brand new car. This dealership was really wonderful! They over exceeded in customer service and especially Tyler. He was the one that helped me through it all, he made the process light and fun. It didn’t feel like we were there for too long! If anything he’s probably the second reason I decided to try Kia again other than my brother in law.

Upfront and honest service when it came to buying my Telluride. I went to two different Kia dealerships and went with young because of their sales floor and friendly atmosphere. Training on accessories is about the only feedback I could give to make it 5 stars. Really had a much better experience than another Kia dealership.

I hate dealing with car salesmen. They are sketchy and they usually have zero integrity. However, Justin Fife at Young Kia was straight up and honest with me about all aspects while buying my Kia K5. He made buying my new car tolerable and the least frustrating experience I've had while buying a vehicle. If you're in the market for a new Kia ask for Justin. He won't lie and he will be straight up about prices and expectations you may have for your possible trade-in. Buy a new Kia with Justin Fife. The best salesman I've had ever.

Would love to tell about our wonderful experience at Young Kia. Dalton helped with test driving over 20 cars till found the right model. Than Scott found the right color. First time in my life we brought a car without driving it. While filling out the paperwork Jared bought us dinner. The staff here are amazing and very patient with all my needs for a new car. That night Dalton delivered the vehicle to our home and went over everything. Plus took our trade in with him. The best buying experience ever. When the car arrived it was better than expected. It started out great. Tyler was super helpful and patient with us! Then it came time to ‘run the numbers’! He came back with a price that was $5000 over what was on the sticker and over the price on the website. We asked why and were told that they were in the process of changing the prices and that this is what it would cost now. Then Ian, the finance guy, came in and basically pointed to the paper and said ‘this is the price.’ And when we asked why it was $5000 over msrp, he pointed to the paper again and said, ‘this is the price.’ We said ‘no thank you’ and left. The floor manager, Eric, called us back and explained that this was ‘the fair market value’ for the car. So, basically they were adding $5000 to the price because they could. I called two other Kia dealerships and both said it was against their policy to charge more than the msrp. I bought the same exact model car from another dealership and paid less with taxes, fees, etc than I was quoted before taxes, fees, etc at young Kia. Clearly, they are just out to make a buck because they can. But, if you do find yourself having to go to them, ask for Tyler and steer clear of Ian.

We had the BEST salesman there in Layton. His name is PRESTON. Make sure to ask for him. He wasn't pushy. He answered all of are questions (including the dumb ones). He was so thoughtful, he helped us set up appointments for oil changes and when our car came in he sent us pictures of it!!!! Soo fun to get pictures of the new car. Thanks a ton PRESTON. Go see the BEST salesman in Layton.

Preston picked me up after private selling my diesel to bring me to dealership to look at some cars, Not much selection for cheaper vehicles I was looking for. After not being able to find keys to older car I liked and manager tried getting me to raise my price range I told them I was leaving. Preston again offered to drive me to another dealership (where I purchased a nice SUV right in my price range). I was shocked for sure it was a nice gesture that won't go unnoticed when I look for another car in the future.

Went for an oil change and tire rotation. The receptionist does not note what kind of oil (synthetic or traditional) you want when you tell them while making an appointment, nor do the service reps ask. Also, classic dealer shenanigans of trying to sell you parts/services you don’t need. They went through the hassle of removing my cabin air filter and showing me the leaves on top (to be expected, it didn’t need to be replaced), but when I declined to have the filter replaced, they stuck it right back in with all the leaves on top. Furthermore, they knocked crud into the fan and now it makes noises while turned on.

Tanya is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about cars. I own a Honda but still get my servicing done with Young Kia. Tanya went out of her way to help me with an oil leak. The customer service was out of this world. I wish I could’ve given more than 5 stars! Scott was kind and helpful as well. Thank you Young Kia, I highly recommend the service department!

The service here is non existent. I wish I had purchased our Soul at another dealer. The car came from a different dealership and we were only given one fob while being promised a second. Within 2 weeks our sales rep was no longer in sales and I was referred to Eric who was to take car of the issue. Well after leaving several messages and only after asking to speak to the general manager did Eric call me back 5/21. He said a fob would be ordered and then we would need to bring in to have it programed. Four and a half weeks later and 2 messages left for him and not returned I finally spoke with him again and he says "yes, it's here". No one at anytime called to let me know it was in. That is nothing but BAD SERVICE.

This review is specifically for Preston at the Young Kia dealership in Layton. I have been researching several different makes and models of cars to decide on my next purchase. I have never owned a Kia, but wanted to check them out based on the positive reviews in Consumer Reports. Preston was patient and helpful with all my questions over several visits. If this review could be zero stars it would be. This was the worst experience that I have ever had at a dealership! I know it is not a buyers market for anything right now but this dealership will take you for all you are worth. I ordered a new car from them, during the process they informed me of this accessories package they “offer” and I asked if it was something that was optional and was told yes! Was told to sign a paper just to show that the dealer, Andrew, went over it. Fast forward to the car getting here and I now have no choice but to have the optional accessories added. The thing that was the most upsetting was the car didn’t have any of the accessories on it yet so they could have easily not put them on but said “we can refuse to give you this car without them so we are going to charge you for them whether you want them or not”! Absolutely disgusting sales people! They also called me two days before I signed for the car and told me that it would be ready when I came in, it wasn’t and I didn’t end up getting the car until 4 days after I had signed for it!! Not to mention they didn’t even call me when it was ready! I had to continually call and hope that either Andrew or his manager (who also wasn’t very helpful) were available and if they weren’t I was promised a call back, never got one though! While I will recommend Kia cars I would NEVER recommend this dealer!!

We had a great experience purchasing through Young Kia. We live in Utah County and they had the cars we wanted. I dealt with Hunter over the phone and through texts. It was awesome. We were able to negotiate without pressure or expectations on both sides and we got what we wanted. When we made an agreement and drove up to get the car, Hunter had it waiting and ready. The paper work was quick and easy. Not only that, he brought another car down from another location for my daughter to test drive.

Don't use this dealership. They are not honest. My neighbor ordered a car five months ago and gave them a down-payment. When it came in the dealership called them and then sold it to someone else the next day. Then the dealership ghosted them when we called to go see the car. They told our friends that they lost the keys. Then tried to sell them something else. When they asked for their deposit they were told it would take a while to get it back to them! BUYER BEWARE!! We are supporting them by warning all of our friends and neighbors. They are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

My advice is to stay away from any Young dealership. I have been to the KIA, Chevy (across the street), and I promise you, you can find a better deal elsewhere. I was looking at a kia ev6. They wanted to charge $4000 above MSRP (typical right now) but then you had to pay an additional $4500 in required upgrades. The Chevy dealership across the street is the same way. My dad was looking at trading in his dodge diesel truck for a new silverado 1500 (before the pandemic). They were $15k more than any other dealership, even after we told them what we had been offered elsewhere. Here is all that I ask. Make sure you do your homework. Go to another dealership (kia in riverdale is awesome) and get a quote before you go to young. I would be VERY surprised if they ever beat another dealer. I feel sorry for the sales staff as they have all been really nice. It is their managers who are making the money decisions that are the problem. Good luck with your search. STAY AWAY FROM ANY YOUNG DEALERSHIP!!!!

Do not go this place they will try to over sell you no matter what, they had Kia Sorento LX the price on the window was higher than the price on kia .com, when I asked they told me is because is build in and its AWD, I was like okay so it shows $34k on the window which is okay, than they try to charge me $3500.00 for city something something not a tax or dealer fee is additional, I am like no I won't pay that and they come back saying no worries will remove that for you but you HAVE TO PURCHASED additional coverage for the vehicle? dude the vehicle comes with warranty automatically, I am here willing to buy the car but yet if I don't purchase the additional coverage they won't sell me. worst sales people I have ever met. the manager also is a joke for real trying to up sale me for no reason

This dealership tried using predatory sales practices on my wife and I within the past week. Low supply and high demand may give dealerships the ability to charge above and beyond MSRP based on what the market will bear, but not use predatory sales practices like a bait-and-switch which is illegal. My wife and I ordered a KIA Carnival mid-March with a non-refundable $1,000 deposit and were told at the time that estimated lead times were 8-10 months, however they were getting Carnivals in on average around 5 +/- months. That seemed fair based on current market conditions. I followed up with my sales rep in just the past few days on the status, to which he replied “my managers are saying it’s still 1-2 years out… I’m sure we discussed the wait time on the day of the order. We do have one coming in 2-3 days that’s available but my managers will price it over MSRP because of the demand and logistics issue.” Bait, and then switch and the quotes are directly from text messages. I later spoke with my sales rep’s sales manager which offered to cancel my reservation because of my frustration and disappointment. This is an assumption on my end - but this seemed like yet another tactic to use my name to keep an order coming from KIA that they could then use to sell at higher margins to another potential buyer. After this call, I followed up with another dealership to see what lead times they were seeing on different Carnival trim levels. They have been seeing anywhere from 3 months on up to 7 or 8 months, not 1 to 2 years. They are using a classic bait-and-switch, predatory sales tactic to try and get higher margins out of me. Based on my current experience, this dealership is a perfect example of why I hope all of the major auto manufacturers change their current market strategy to sell direct to consumers. This review will be followed up by a call directly to KIA consumer affairs.

Updated 3/2022: We have done 3 car purchase transactions here, the first two were great. Monica is an excellent sales rep, she listens, follows through and is very genuine even when it's been a long day. Eric and Jennifer with financing are friendly and efficient. The staff work to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. Our third transaction was less than ideal. Matt, was able to get the sale started but seemed uninterested and in a hurry to get us done. He seemed to assume our needs and budget, even though we expressed exactly what we needed and could afford. Perhaps, he was having a long day too but it just didn't sit well with us. It took 4 days and a call to his leadership to get delivery and answers about the car we purchased. Kia leadership took ownership and redeemed my faith. 2021-My daughter's engine failed. We learned it was under recall. Without question they took her car in and finished ahead of schedule with the fix. The video walk through was actually neat. Better than the tech who hands you a paper and explains what condition everything is in. Connor in service was very helpful.

When she has had 4% interest for my previous car, destiny didn’t wanna give me back my deposit and didn’t explain things properly and now doesn’t wanna refund it back. $500 of lose on down deposit. Don’t every try buying a car from here.

We bought a 2021 Kia Sorento from Young. We shopped around at other dealerships. We didn't like the pushy at Wasatch Kia so we left and went to Young. At Young we worked with Preston. We came in on a Saturday to look around, came back on Monday to purchase. Preston was FANTASTIC to work with. We recommend working with him to others. He wasnt pushy, helped us find the exact color and model we wanted and stayed late to help us look at our vehicle and do the paperwork. He remembered random little things we told him from Saturday on Monday night when we came back. He wasnt the typical car saleman you picture but seemed genuinely interested in helping us find our car that fit our needs. Preston has stayed in contact, made sure we loved our buying experience and tried to help make it the best buying experience. We even spoke with the manager Jared. He went above and beyond to make sure our overall experience was great. In the end we are happy with our purchase and our buying experience. Young Kia helped us find our perfect vehicle for a GREAT price. Overall it has been a good experience and we absolutely LOVE our new Sorento! Rhett was an INCREDIBLE sales man when I bought my Nissan Rouge. I researched for weeks on dealerships, what type of vehicle I wanted, what brand, and what model. I also researched the features that I really wanted and went to “just look.” Rhett was so patient with me. He allowed me to drive the vehicle to the other dealership so I could compare with a different Rouge. He allowed me to take it to my parents so they could check it out before I bought it. I NEVER felt obligated to buy or rushed to make my decision. It took me 4 hours to test drive, compare, and decide. The thing that I loved the absolute most is Rhett was 100% honest with me. He knew awesome features of the car that I didn’t (like my AMAZING heated steering wheel) but didn’t act like he knew a feature that he didn’t, although he was more than willing to research and answer any question he wasn’t 100% sure of. I respect that SO much. They were able to get me funded with no problems and out the door that night. The team stayed to get me taken care of until 10:30PM! We did a trade in with our car an older higher miles car, and they did a great trade in value for us. They bought us dinner, through in a free cooler, and put new tires/alignment on the vehicle we purchased before we were out the door. We took our niece's 2016 Kia Optima to Young Kia due to check engine light. We were met by our service advisor , Connor. He told us they were extremely busy and may not be able to look at it until next week. he told us the procedure they would do to find the problem. The car had gone into limp mode so we left it. About 2 1/2 hrs. later, Connor called and said the car was done. A sensor had to be reprogrammed. Thank you Conner for the quick response.

Let’s not beat around the bush, car shopping is never fun, and personally, a car is the last thing I want to spend money on. That being said, I’ve now purchased my 2nd vehicle from young Kia and I love the vehicle. Nate and the staff were professional, and easy to work with. I wouldn’t put the responsibility of changing the car dealership industry on the sales or financing staff. But during the pricing discussions, Nate and young Kia help make it less painful. To the point I was willing to make the drive from SLC to Murray to work with them. In short, I am satisfied with the price and service I received working with them. We went up just to look at newer vehicles. We had an appointment with Cameron but he got called away for army reserve training. We were promptly helped by DJ, Eric and Justin who were all amazing. We are in the process of buying a home so we couldn’t have our car payments go up. We had over 100000 miles on our existing car so we weren’t hoping for much. Justin helped us find a newer car with significantly fewer miles and a lot more features and kept our car payments the same. We love Young Kia and the family feel they have.
