Vernon is a fascinating person with a rich family history with deep roots in the area. He has a profound understanding and respect for the Navajo people, culture, art and beliefs. He was extremely honest and generous with his time and has been consulting me on my quest to find gems. I have cross referenced his items and the have proved to be exactly the gems he said they were. I trust him and his experience and expertise more than anyone in the area and wish I could spend more time learning his family's history and stories. His collection is incredible and includes many rare, exquisite pieces. It is worth a visit just for the education he offers. The store is like a museum of culture and art and his talking parrot just adds to the magic. So grateful to have found his store and met such an amazing man.

The guy I dealt with was very rude. Yes I did make a comment about a gun I was looking at . Mostly to myself and thinking to myself. I never comment on price. Yes it was a gun over 100 years old. No wasn't bashing anything. Would I have bought it? Maybe? Did I have a chance? No. Owner? Takes back rifle puts it back on rack and tells my have a nice day and tells me I need to leave. Rather rude. I did ask him why he was being rude to me and why upset. I was told I shouldn't say bad things about his guns... again I was thinking about what all the gun would need to function properly again .talking out loud but mostly to myself. Sorry for posting you off mr. Pawn shop guy. But you can not treat customers like that. So beware people do not speak out loud. I can only imagine what he would have done had I said he was way high on the price.. lol
