Veyo Phoenix Reviews

Veyo is a Good company that allows you the freedom to work when you want. the staff is very professional I have not ever had any problems with them. But they only pay a dollar a mile. The true cost of driving and maintaining a car is is 58 cents a mile. That's why The IRS allows you to deduct 58.5 cents per mile. That would include depreciation maintenance and expenses such as gas And insurance . With that being said we actually are getting 41 and a 1/2 cents a mile. After no shows and driving to the customer You can take off another 20 cents a mile leaving the driver with 21 and a 1/2 cents per mile. So if you drive a 100 miles that day you're going to make $21.50. For a 4 1/2 hour shift. That translates into less than $5 an hour. I guess you have to ask is your time worth more than $5 an hour?

Driving for Veyo is a good side gig. You are constantly on the move and never waiting for a member pick up. Great support. Make sure you keep track of mileage because you will get a 1099 at the end of the year. Also you need to save 30% of your weekly earnings for tax purposes, they will send you your mileage after each trip so you can write it off on your taxes

I've been driving for Veyo off and on for several years now. Having driven for other rideshare programs, I find Veyo to not only compensate fairly but also response from their support team is fairly immediate and their staff is always friendly. You have to jump through some hoops to become a driver for them but it is well worth it. I have recommended video to numerous people I know who require non-emergency medical transport services.
D - Thank you for sharing this review of your experience driving with Veyo Transportation. We're happy to hear you've have a great experience these past years and appreciate you sharing this feedback!

I was called about a rider who complained about me canceling the ride. I attempted to call the rider six times with no answer. I told Veyo rep I wasn’t going to their location to find out they had a locked gate, or cancelled, or got another ride. Veyo doesn’t compensate you if the rider doesn’t take the ride. The rep told me I was in violation of Veyo policy. Veyo isn’t doing me a favor. I have never given a ride since the phone reprimand. The system needs to improve if they want to keep drivers. Meanwhile I enjoy a five star rating with much more pleasant riders with Lyft.

Worst, most uncoordinated, dysfunctional, company out there and the worst part is, if you have certain insurance, there is no alternative and you are subject to their ineptitude. They don't always show up, even with repeated calls to dispatch. You get attitude from people like "Mr. Robinson" who tell you your ride has been dispatched, but it's a straight lie! Why can't companies who know that are providing a necessary service to people who have no alternative teach their people to treat their customers with some sort of dignity or respect, regardless of their preconceived notions based on one's destination (which is the methadone clinic for most people). As I write this review, I've been sitting out here waiting for over an hour with no sign of me getting to work on time, once again...

It's not easy to express how I feel about Vejo. I understand that every job has ups and downs... But when it comes to Vejo, one should keep in mind that you will be putting a lot of miles on your own personal vehicle and paying out of pocket for the gas needed. There are days one can work for 6+ hours and make less than 100$... and days you can get 30$+ an hour. Customers are for the majority easy going, but it's also true some don't have a good hygiene, and some will take it upon the driver that they are having a bad day. Working on your own schedule is however great! Not being compensated for the cancellations/no show not so much! Especially when the customer tells you they called dispatch and you still drove there, for nothing!!! One must also keep track of all the trips, because apparently there are some issues (I don't know if it's the dispatch or the app....) and some trips could simply not show up $$$ wise (witch is horrible in my opinion). A driver should be able to focus on DRIVING and not having to worry about getting paid for the trip!!!!!! I've read what others have said in the comments and it's pretty much all the same issues... To make a long story short, I think driving for Vejo can be fun, but as a part time more than anything. And it's a shame, because it could be so much better!
K
I was told that's this company was to support people in the community without transportation, that's a lie. I was talk I have to request pickup 72 Hr before, that's a lie. I've been using this company for a month now and it's been a problem since day one. I've been late to appointments and have been charged late fees due the Veyo. I'm a single mom of one soon to be 2 (9 months pregnant), my son attends every dr appointment with me. Not one time, till now have a driver had a problem with my son (he's 5) not having a boster seat and I can't afford to buy one.

So, for the second time while driving for Vejo, I've damaged a tire. The first time I took it upon my self to replace it.... this time I called support and they told me that not only they won't reimburse me (witch is horrible enough!) They will have to check the vehicle after I find the money to get it fix.... I'm not going to be driving for Vejo ever again. Constantly driving for nothing as people cancel but dispatch doesn't car and still sends drivers out. This job turned out to be the worst experience I've ever had!!!!
J
Many riders have wrong numbers or no contact information. Riders are sick during transport to doctors but don't let us know ahead of time. No incentive pay available to compete with uber and lyft. Love riders but don't like cancelations. Waste of time and money.
C
Veyo is a great alternative to use for getting clients from-and-to their appointments. I have recommended Veyo to friends because sometimes they are unaware their health insurance possibly can cover transportation in the event they have no possible way to get to their Doctor.
Candle - We truly appreciate your kind review and words about the services that Veyo Transportation provides!
L
I enjoy driving for Veyo but they aren't paying enough to cover the gas and wear and tear on car. Unless they start covering gas costs I fear they will lose their drivers.
Lawrence - We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback about your experience with Veyo and are happy to hear you are enjoying the job. As a company, we are always looking for ways to improve and we are currently offering a gas credit for drivers but if you have additional recommendations, please send them to [email protected].

Monday, 11/15/21, I was had a confirmed reservation to have my Mom picked up at her group home at 2:40pm for her 3:30pm orthopedic appointment. Driver was late. I called around 2:47 and was told he was coming. After several calls and still no driver, I called the doctors office and they said I needed to arrive by 4pm. Veyo all said they could get another driver within a couple of minutes and I would be there on time. When the driver didn’t show up I called again and they then told me the driver was not answering his phone. I was given the drivers phone number, but could not reach him. The driver finally showed up at 3:54pm. The doctors office is 25 minutes away, so I told him we could not make it. He simply drove off without saying a word. I was able to get another appointment on Thursday, 11/18/21 at 4 PM. I made a reservation with VEYO for a driver to pick us up at 3:15pm. He was on time and very pleasant and professional. When the appointment was over I called at 4:26 PM and was told I might have to wait as long as one hour for a ride home. At 5:30 there was still no driver and I called several times between 5:30 and 7pm!! My mom is wheelchair-bound and is 95 years old. She had not had dinner and all they told me was that they couldn’t help because they had no driver and no vehicle available. I called several other medical transport companies and none were able to help. In desperation I called 911 and was told that they couldn’t help me either! Really!? Was I expected to spend the night in a medical facility lobby with my 95-year-old wheelchair-bound Mom, who is incontinent and needed dinner and evening medications?! Sometime after 7 PM I had to rely on family members to come from over 30 miles away and lift my Mom and the very heavy motorized wheelchair into the vehicles! It was after 8pm when we got her home. I am outraged at the terrible service, incompetence and lack of compassion. 0 stars for this mismanaged company!
J
My experience driving for Veyo has been, mostly positive; however, the negative side consists of cancellations and wrong addresses can be very frustrating. I do like that I can choose my own hours.
Thanks for the stellar review, Joe.
L
Completely unreliable. They can be up to an hour early and often several hours late. I've even had instances where they never showed up at all even after I called several times. They have the ability to request a Lyft but they avoid it as much as possible even when you've been waiting for hours and yet there have been times when they sent a Lyft after just one phone call. You can't plan anything effectively. I don't understand why any insurance company would pay them to drive their patients because you can't trust them at all to get you to your appointments. If I could give zero stars I would.
d
I am supposed to be picked up at 4 am mon-fri. I go to my appointment then to work by 530. Veto has arrived on time once in a month. 1 time. Otherwise I have to wait until my intended pick up time before I am allowed to call and tell them my driver is late. Either they need to pay driver's more or offer a bonus because I am going to lose my job because of the tardiness. How can a ride share business be sustainable if they don't pick up the customer at the requested time. 1 star.
B
4/11/22. Appointment, hospital procedure. Veyo is not dependable.Pick up was at 8:30am didn't show up, until 9:44 wasn't there because I got a ride from a concerned individual.

The drivers are always polite and the vehicles very clean. My thing is the timing. When I need to be at work or when I should be off work I'm always waiting nearly an hour. Sometimes more. It's beyond frustrating.
c
Worst company. How are you unable to find my house. Probably didn’t even look. In this day and age! Use a gps. Not that difficult or rocket science to find someone’s house.

I have been driving for Veyo for a little over three months. I love that I have control over my own schedule and there is no minimum commitment. I like to drive on weekends but is nice to know that I don’t have to do that. The fares are paid weekly which makes it easy to budget. I have never had a passenger that was not very appreciative of my service. Support staff are always ready to assist and are professional.
A
I am a driver for Veyo and I’ve had nothing but a positive experience. I stay busy anytime I turn the app on and work.

Love being able to work when my life schedule allows. Most jobs are the other way around.
Thanks Pia! We're happy to hear you are enjoying your experience with Veyo Transportation!

Veyo is a transportation service offered by AHCCCS Mercy Care. This means that we truly need them for their transportation services to get to our doctors appointments and pick up prescriptions. While I appreciate this service, I have rated their services with 2 stars because; Several times I have had drivers show up over an hour after the time I requested for pick up and that means I have already missed my appointment. I've also had to deal with drivers who speeding excessively (90-100 MPH), and nodding out behind the wheel of the car! This is all very dangerous for the safety of my life.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take these matters very seriously. If you have any additional information such as type of vehicle, location, or license plate, please send them to [email protected] so we can investigate further.
K
I had a ride schedule through transportation to and from the doctor's appointment 2 and a half hours later still no pick up I ave no money and straned on the other side of town after dark im calling my insurance company to have them cancel payment.
T
I have been driving for Veyo for a couple of years now. It has been a good rewarding experience. This is a great job for someone retired. It is not a big money maker, but it does get us out into the community and the feeling of a job well done is waiting for you at the end of the day. For those who are looking at driving for a living, take some serious considerations. All expenses are up to you. You pay your car payment, insurance including a rider for ride share, maintenance (including car washes, tires, oil change…), gas, supplies (first aid, Covid protection…), your own retirement and health plan and wear and tear on the car. That comes to about $5-7 an hour. You will dedicate this money to take in $15-25 hour. Not all days are good and not all days are bad, but you will take home something. You will strive to provide the best experience possible. It may be going to the door because the client needs help, is a door to door service (common with youth transports) and will have some who need to have their wheelchair or walker put into the trunk. Do yourself a favor and keep your trunk empty. You will need that space. You will without a doubt get an average on one cancelation a day. When you get the call, call the member. Often cancellations happen at that time. You will save yourself time, gas and heartache. You may have just driven for 20 minutes to find that out if the member doesn’t have a working phone. At the end of the day, top off the gas tank, run the car through the car wash and pat yourself on the back. Today, you were someone’s hero.
S
The worst company to work for, if they don't like you they will get rid of you. Unfair termination without getting your bonuses. Very unprofessional. This is why they always need drivers.
K
The drivers are always nice and very respectful. The representatives that schedule the rides are HORRIBLE!!!!! I saw my doctor & had treatment she wanted me to come the next day for another day of treatment. So I called to schedule transportation for the next morning for treatment and they refused to schedule me. Told me to call at 7am but I needed to be picked up at 7am so that would not work. Then I was told to change my appointment. I'm confused on when a scheduler became a doctor and started making calls on what time I need to receive treatment.

As a driver , I enjoy meeting such friendly, happy clients. I do get upset when driving a long distance and after getting no response from voice message I leave and two or three no answers. There is a no show or they say they canceled the appointment. After 3 in one day, I usually call it a day, since my car loves gas. I love working my own hours usually early mornings till early afternoons. I love the surprise extra perks which make it fun when you have a goal.
Thanks for the feedback Donna. We've shared your feedback with our teams!
L
They've been really inconsistent with sending out drivers on time. The drivers themselves have almost always been very nice people though. I assume it's just the system or lack of drivers to meet the need
A
My driver showed up at 7:15am. He wasn't supposed to be there until 8am. He was honking the horn, and l stepped outside to show him l wasn't ready. Ten minutes went by and he started honking the horn again. I stopped outside again to let him know that l was almost ready. When l went to get in the car, he started to pull away and told me he cancelled my ride. I told him to undo whatever he had done. So he got in touch with the dispatcher and got it fixed, but he had told them that l cancelled the ride, which l never did. I was very unhappy with the way he handled the entire situation.

I called ahead of time for my elderly mother & set up all Appointments for her for 2 weeks. I requested a minivan or SUV. The representative said that should not be a problem. Twice now in one week they sent a car. Due to her bad knees it is to painful to sit in a car. The first driver came in a car for her first pick up called & got a SUV sent to her within 10 minutes to have her picked up by a driver with SUV. Today a driver arrived in a car. MY mother told she ordered a minivan or SUV. The driver told her that she was not aloud to have a choice of what kind of car she can ride in & refused to fix the issue. So my panicked mother called me. It took a half hour with calling Mercy Care & Veyo to get everything worked out & a SUV to arrive. She arrived a half hour late to her appointment with the Mayo Clinic. This appointment took 6 months to get. We are lucky the staff understood. Mercy Care & Veyo needs to create an app like other transportation companies have for better communication for all parties.

The sign on bonus was awesome. The per mile pay is higher than other platforms. If you need to speak with Veyo by phone that feature is available. No need to make an appointment, wait days and stand in line to speak with someone. If the drop off location changes for a member they will adjust your trip amount and notify you! You do not have to request a review. Plus, you almost always have a ride waiting. Hardly any downtime. The only issues I have experienced are needing to attempt personal contact with a member before canceling. Not being paid when member cancels on spot or is a no-show. Which does happen some days more then others. No option to cash out.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Diane! We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Cheers, Veyo Phoenix

So I'm from Colorado i just recently moved to Arizona. I have been on Methadone for over a year and in Colorado I also got medical transportation to and from the clinic. My problem with veyo other that they are almost never on time is i really wish they would do round trips for those of us that our appointment only takes like 2 minutes I'm always in and out of the clinic in at most 5 to 6 mini that. In Colorado the drivers would wIt for us. But here its such a hassle and being as the driver is almost never on time I've waited at the clinic 2 hours at times just for my return. I actually lost a job because of it. I'm just trying to get ahead in a new state. I've been nothing but disappointed with veyo.if I could id give them 0 stars Notice how only the drivers give a decent review and client that unfortunately has to deal with the incompetence are the ones that suffer. And yet nothing changes. Today for instance I had 3 different drivers show up to take me to the same place and when I try to explain the problem but they were close a nd showed up so 2 out of 3 drivers didn't get paid for coming even though there should have only been one driver that was sent to my location in the first place. . Such a Sh*t show. Its funny they say they care and will take out complaints into consideration. I can tell them exactly how to fix these problems just model themselves on medical transportation companies in other states that actually work but no they don't car imso sick of the ride workers in dispatched and the rude drivers. Veyo is a sorry excuse for medical transportation. If you have a job and need to be on time and not extremely early than find another ride veyo will not work for you.

The worst transportation I ever see. The driver not on time. Have no respect The cars are the oldest an hygienic, smelling bad. Horrible AC, I could not even breath and driver does not care. I will never ever get ride with Veyo. The customer service are not reliable, not helpful. Careless.

Today the driver pick me up to take me home from a doctor appointment where I tore ligament at the side of my knee. Anyways I didn't realize my phone fell out of my purse in a panic I called my insurance company they called and left a message for the guy I called back again the guy my insurance transferred me right over to the guy's phone I talked to him and he admitted he had my phone and he brought it back to me within 11 minutes. This guy was a lifesaver I wish I knew his name but he was a gentleman he was an Air Force vet and he drove a white four-door like suburban GMC if anyone from this company reads this that man was awesome it is nice to know there was honest people out there.
Thanks for your feedback!

I've used veyo for over four years now and have only had an issue with a driver once when he attempted to drop me off at the wrong house.Otherwise I have never had an issue with veyo drivers. They're usually always on time to pick me up and usually get me to my appointments ahead of schedule
We appreciate that you took the time to share your feedback, Michael!
C
So I used veyo to take my 4 month old daughter to her doctor appointment to get shots my pick up time was 9:50 am they arrived at 930 I was still feeding her and the driver gave me an attitude cuz I wasn't ready i was almost done my appointment wasn't til 10:30 ish. Then after her appointment I walked to grab a drink and something to munch on I sent for a ride it literally took 2 hours for a driver to respond after waiting a little over an hour I was done I had to pay for an Uber it was cold and raining and my daughter was fussy and wanting to eat. Mind you she just had 4 shots 2 in each leg so she wasn't happy. That uber I took cost me like $18 I'm beyond angry

Drive to many unpaid miles. Need end of shift assist to get rides heading in direction of home. Often have to drive 20 to 30 miles to get home rather then risk taking another ride further away. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS.
R
Have been driving for Veyo for 3 years. This is an awesome and fun job with the ability to earn decent money. The harder you work the more dollars you earn. As an independant driver I set my own hours and am able to support my family needs as well. Great work and family balance. I enjoy talking with the members (passengers) and know I am helping them as well. The reward is knowing you are helping others.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts Rich!
C
Well I think it works out well with my schedule and a transport very nice people I don't know if they pay for canceled trips. I pray they do because even tho I called them and they cancelled I think we should get payed for it still because even tho I am just making the call we should get payed for doing just that if people can't call veyo to cancel them selfs then we should get payed for that because they should know if they are going to the Drs that day if they just wait for us to call them and then tell us they ant going we should get payed something. And especially when it's far from our last location. The other than that I enjoy very much working for veyo
c
Hey Adam!! I know a guy with an impeccable driving record no tickets in 5 years.. He was the all-time safe shift leader at Discount Cab. He has 18 years experience in the transportation business.. In that time he has transported over 70,000 passengers safely and as driven over a million and 1/4 miles. He's already CPR certified. He worked for Veyo for about 16 months and did thousands of trips.. He was a very popular driver with the customers and works well especially with elderly passengers that have special needs.. I understand that he may be very interested in returning to work there. Do you think there's a possibility? Oh and here's a suggestion..Veyo should initiate a drivers rating system for the passengers. I think it would provide the company with a clearer view of who they're best drivers are. Thanks....Charlie M

Any staff member or driver support team I encounter has been very professional and helpful I appreciate their hard work. When I follow all protocols to locate a member I call three times I arrive I call again I go knock on the door and I also call driver support to help locate the member. I also wait five minutes of being at the location to pick up appointment or arrival I don’t get reimbursed most of the time . I follow protocols at every stop or every call. I also feel that with a customer canceled on-site the driver should be compensated. I also get a lot of cancellations when I speak to the member they stated that they have canceled the day before or even the week before or even months before. I don’t know if there’s a department that follows up any cancellations however if there is it’s very slow process to get those trips off the board or out of the system ,before it’s pick up time perhaps you need to hire more staff. This would help the drivers on saving gas and time and would benefit the company if this was completed in a timely manner lots of pros and cons on this issue. I’m a Tucson driver not Phoenix.
Brian - Thank you for taking the time to share this review of your experience with Veyo Transportation. We're happy to hear you are having a pleasant experience and appreciate your feedback!

Pretty good place to work. You get to decide when you work, and your hours. The clients you serve are often very nice people. Overall, I've only had 2 people that were rude vs. hundreds of others. Support is awesome should you need them and the app is really easy to use. I hope to continue to work for this company for awhile!
Thanks for the stellar review, Smiley.

Veyo is a good company for which to work, providing a much needed service to many people. I enjoyed most of my passengers and the training I received before I started driving was top-notch. When the gas costs rose so drastically, Veyo eventually responded with some assistance for the drivers. One flaw in the system is that the driver receives no compensation for driving from a drop-off to a pick-up. Sometimes that can be significant miles. Also, you can't see where the drop-off is before you accept a pick-up. That made planning difficult for me at times. That's also why I didn't give 5 stars. I stopped driving for Veyo when a more lucrative job from home became available.
Richard - Thank you for sharing this feedback about your experience with Veyo Transportation. We are happy that you felt that Veyo provides great training and resources as a driver and appreciate your review
T
After working for other rideshare companies, it is refreshing to work for Veyo! $ per mile is great. The only thing that needs to be changed is there should be a payment for cancelled rides especially if you are advised when you get to the location. Have been paid for some but not all.
Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to leave us a review.
C
The customer service has been incredible, although the dispatch option answers robotically and you might have to wait 15 minutes. Which is a drag. But I have met so many incredible people, I have helped so many people, and I have been Blessed forever by the clients and the servicers of Veyo. There is no rating system but I think there definitely should be one. Although some people are so rude you never wanna see them again, the majority are just hungry souls looking for help and love. They pay way more than your average rideshare service, and the bonuses some days at certain times are ridiculous and so generous for such a short trip or a few amount of miles. I do at least two Veyo rides every day on top of other driving duties, and it's always a sweet paycheck come Tuesday morning. Veyo equips you to be CPR and first aid certified, and there's nothing cooler than putting on those two square magnetic stickers first thing in the morning before you head out. Thank you Veyo for being awesome and generous to me and consistent for all of your passengers!
Constant - Thank you for taking the time to share this kind review and valuable insight. We truly appreciate all feedback as it helps us understand what is important to you and how we can continue to provide a 5-star experience both for our drivers and our customers. Thank you again for sharing this recommendation of Veyo Transportation!
M
I had worked for Veyo for 1 1/2 years as a part time driver and I made it as fun and pleasant as I possibly could for all passengers and patients I picked up and dropped off. Despite all the cancelled trips made as I arrived by the passenger or the no shows when I arrived at the pick-up location nor the trips offered 2 miles from my location only to have pick-up time scheduled 30 mins. Later or all the wrong info given by Veyo dispatch causing me more drive time and mileage with no compensation from Veyo. I never had a consistent day of income nor a beneficial amount of income to cover the use of my own vehicle and my daily gas expense! Veyo is unorganized and overwhelmed trying to cover and complete all daily trips and drivers are the only ones affected by this negativity. It’s been a struggle every day with my livelihood riding a roller coaster for a Company that cares less for driver’s and passengers best interest and its just sad. Future drivers for Veyo beware they lie about your average income being $20 an hour it is realistically $14 an hour or less an hour average!! I finally came to my senses and quit and will never use nor drive with Veyo ever again and nor should you believe me you will be better off without Veyo in your life!! 👎 10 thumbs down Veyo you need to be better!!

Only pays per mile does not pay for your time, i.e. it takes 4 miles to get to the destination (not paid for) waiting up to 5 minutes for client (not paid for) and drop off could take 10 minutes if the need extra assistance (not paid for). a $5.00 ride has taken 40 minutes due to the clients needs and Veyo did not compensate for the extra time that client needed. I called driver "Support" about an issue with a rider and it took 10 minutes for someone to answer the call and 30 minutes for the person to solve the problem and they were extremely unprofessional and rude. A Lot of the clients get away with rude and disrespectful behavior such as slamming doors, yelling, cursing you out etc. I thought it would be better then Uber but they underpay and are unprofessional from the Driver Support to the Clientele.

It costs more than you get paid to drive for Veyo. The specials they run are impossible to achieve because just GETTING to your client takes up 1/2 of the time frame the special is running. I spent 5 hours, drove over 100 miles and was aid $61.00. That is 12.20 per hour PLUS I used MY gas, My car and My time. SOOOOO not worth it.
C
I've been driving with veil for her almost 7 years. I like the freedom of making my own schedule. I like meeting and talking with the community. I'm also making more money than I have ever made before..
We appreciate you being a valued member of the Veyo IDP team and are happy to hear you are enjoying your time. We work hard to create a great environment and system for Veyo drivers and thank you for sharing this feedback!
L
System needs improvement. 1. Blanket set ups should be cancelled when members have a consistent no show record. 2. Members give a rating with all stars high....however, drivers only hear about their faults. 3. Duplicate assigned rides need to stop! 4. Support for drivers need to answer the phone and quit picking up the line and immediately placing back on hold. 5. Calls to driver support, from drivers, need to be monitored for the purpose of stopping the backlash rudeness from support to drivers. 6. Apartment building #s gate codes and correct contact numbers along with, east, West, South, or north need to be accurate. Just to name a few things.... 7. Violent passengers, drivers write incident report, HR rarely pulls report then they suspend drivers. When drivers ask why to HR, they say passengers said you refused to transport or kicked them out. HR fails to pull report before suspension then apologies are given. However, who pays for the days of unlawful suspension???? HR says "oh yeah, sorry. " Meanwhile driver is out of pay for two or three days. Horrible management.....no ethics and customer service lacks.
Hi there, thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We know duplicate trips are an issue and we're working to remove those. We've passed along your feedback to the team as it's super helpful. Thank you!

Poor customers always complaint about everything and fault the drivers They sink and smell as their don’t shower for weeks and refuse to wear masks when advised Use foul language to drivers as they feel entitled even though they don’t pay a cent for the ride. Have been assaulted 3 times and main office is only concern with police reports not the drivers condition In question No Compensation for no shows cancelled trips or waiting for members Most members are homeless with mental issues and when we try to help always get called out to come into office for a lecture. Won’t compensate for higher fuel cost and expect you to pick up all members even if it’s 25 miles away from where your at with compensation then find the ride is less than 2 miles away from pick up I literally determined that it cost me out of pocket close to $100 every time I drive for Veyo Concept is good but management needs to be more aware of drivers situation
H
I love being a driver for veyo !! I have my time freedom ... I feel much safer than other ride share companies and I stay consistently busy . 😀. .. so I'm happy !
Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to leave us a review.

Never on time and very unreliable. They schedule out 3rd party companies for patients in electrical wheelchairs and these companies never pick up. We tried it 3 times and it was no call no show. We decided to get a foldable wheelchair and see if a regular car would show up. They did but they were very late, just enough time to get to the appointment. (Which you need to be 30 minutes early to). Foldable wheelchairs are not the best option because he has multiple broken bones and shouldn't move as much as he does trying to get in and out of a vehicle. It's just been a terrible experience...
C
Veyo is a pathetic excuse for medical transportation. Either hours late for pick up or an hour early. After waiting multiple times for over an hour I am done. Only use them as a last resort.
Charles - Veyo takes member concerns very serioulsy. If you would like to file a formal response, please contact your Health Plan's Member Services Department and request to file a formal complaint.
P
Its great to have the flexibility of hours but the entire platform needs an overhaul. 2 drivers get the same fare...how does that happen? Gas prices are soaring & no compensation for it, more & more drivers will quit bc we can't make decent money. They don't show any appreciation for the drivers who get RAVE reviews and if you make 1 rider upset, you get put on suspension & a lecture. Its crazy.
S
Sometimes it's difficult to reach out before the driver shows and some trips end up with me being late, but I have never had a driver I didn't like and it's great to have rides to and from appointments. They have such wonderful drivers, better than a taxi or Uber.
D
Like to see more pay for the miles but overall great professional place. Driver support is very helpful.
Hi, Dre. Thanks for your review. Glad to hear you had a great experience.
S
On the Freeway a driver pulled infrastructure of me and slammed on his brakes, real safe for a medical transport. Great job.
Sharleen - Veyo takes matters like this very seriously. Please share more details about the incident with us at [email protected] so we can investigate. Thank you

Great way to make some extra cash and work the hours you choose. I find that if you treat the passengers with the same kindness that you would treat your family you will get the same in return. In 4 years of driving with Veyo and over 6000 trips I have only had 1 or 2 problems.
Thanks for the great review and the 6,000 trips! We couldn't do this without you!

As a retired RN, I have experienced the best people, great interaction, and feeling of gratitude to help another human being that has crossed my path. I realize we all come from the same place, sometimes difficult, sometimes genetically influenced, sometimes beyond our control. Eventually we connect on a spiritual or human level where we all matter to each other. I am happy to be a part of this gratitude and adventure on this journey. I feel happy to be of service when others may not feel like they are willing to. I love this job, and I feel God puts the right people in my car that need to be there.

Update: Today one of our residents tried to use this company, they scheduled a pick up for 10:40. I called at 9am to make sure the ride was scheduled and the lady confirmed the pick up time was 10:40am. The driver didn't arrive until 11:30!!! Our resident missed their appointment. Avoid this company like the plague. Absolutely the worst experience with a transportation company I have ever encountered! I work at a senior assisted living facility and we have relied on this company to transport some of our residents to important doctors appointment. This week one of our residents had two doctors and missed them both because the transportation never showed up. Both days when we called to find out where the driver was they claimed the driver came to the door and no one answered, which is a lie because our receptionist sits at the door everyday and no one knocked, rang the door bell, or walked inside since out doors are UNLOCKED! We have had so much trouble with this company that the company I work for is hiring a driver so we never have to use this company again. Let me reiterate, my company would rather pay a full time employee than rely on this transportation service that is free for most of our residents through their insurance.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Sorry to hear that you've had a poor experience with Veyo. Veyo takes member concerns very seriously. If you would like a formal response, please contact your residents' Health Plan's Member Services Department and request to file a complaint.

I have been driving for Veyo over five years and the money is not there at the end of the day you average about $10 per ride and if you calculate the time, gas and mileage you are looking at less than $5 an hour. You don't get compensation for canceled rides till after 5 miles with pay around 0.30 cents a mile which is a joke. The only thing that keeps me going is the flexibility to work otherwise it's waste of time like other ride share companies like Uber and lyft
J
I feel terrible for the patients who rely on this necessary service. Long waits. Canceled trips. Medicaid should go back to using real cab companies. It appears drivers give 5 stars and customers give 1 stars. Veyo will listen to complaints about staff but fail to address the obvious systemic issues. 4 months later and I can count on one hand the number of good experiences I've had with this company. Absolutely no change.

My rides constantly come early from my appointments and leave me at my doctor's office this is so frustrating
m
I like how most of the positive reviews I see here are from the drivers and the negative are from customers. Have had to deal with this place several times for my dad. Latest one just 15 minutes ago driver was supposed to be here at 12pm called dispatch at 12:15 this is after me calling this morning to make sure they had everything right. dispatch called driver driver finally calls back at 12:30 says he will be at the house in 40 minutes. So the appointment is at 1pm he wants to show up at 1:10 then take him to the appointment. Maybe as a company you should screen your drivers for a work ethic.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take these matters very seriously. If you have any additional information such as type of vehicle, location, or license plate, please send them to [email protected] so we can investigate further.
B
I love working for veyo. My only issue is that 1 you're an independent contractor and don't have taxes taken out of your check... Also, the wear and tear on your vehicle is incredibly intense.... Veyo doesn't cover any tire or brake repair which I believe should be atleast 50/50. The job itself is awesome though...
C
I'm not entirely sure what this company is, but I see them around a lot. Whatever they do must be far more important than driving because every car I've seen with a veyo magnet on it is not focused on the road. I've had so many close encounters with these veyo cars that I honk at that them almost out of instinct as soon as I see them. They pull out in front of you AFTER making direct eye contact, left turns from rights lanes, turning in front of you when there is not enough room. I'm glad I'm a responsible driver so I can make up for the lack of attentiveness and awareness these drivers show. This is a CONSTANT issue with these drivers, not just a random occurrence. Don't believe me? Just hang out down by Greenfield and university. You won't have to wait long. Especially in the late morning times.
Hi Corey, sorry to hear that. We take safety very seriously at Veyo, so if you have any specific examples, please send them along with the vehicle information (license plate, make, model) and time/location of the event to [email protected] so we can investigate and take appropriate actions. Thank you, Veyo.
P
As a driver who works part-time, the company is great. Never had a problem with payments or getting no show payments. I have submitted several payment reviews and they were resolved quickly and fairly.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Pamela. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Have a great day! Veyo Phoenix
N
Do not apply for this company because they will send you a run around with your background check even though you are clear and a valid driver..This company is very unprofessional And not a great place to workThey will take your information and deny you Employment.Do not waste your time❗
J
Only two bad things about this job, (unfortunately), is the reputation veyo has for being late for pick ups and driving ten miles or more to get a cancel and no pay run... Everything else is awesome. I've met some really great ppl with a big heart. I think everybody should drive for veyo at least once in their lives.
F
Veyo messes up rides too much and can't get drivers because they don't pay them enough for what the drivers have to drive for. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Good luck on getting to your appointment. It's like playing transport roulette.
B
Never late and never have missed a doctors appointment due to there great on time service. Love it
M
Veyo is Awful. It took them nearly 3 hours to dispatch a return trip home. After calling numerous times there were exceedingly long hold times, and associate would cold transfer the call back and I would end up back on the main menu all over again. Dispatch associates were rude and said there is nothing they can do. I was promised an Uber would be sent out as a rescue but an Uber never showed up. After waiting 3 hours I finally got a return call stating the driver is 26 minutes away. This is not how you treat people that are smi. Leaving them stranded for 3 hours. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would.

DRIVER: Drove for veyo, for over 3 years. They recently decided to do a driving record check, pulling up a ticket I got and let me go. No shows & the wait on passengers, for sometimes 45 minutes, plus foldable wheelchairs are irritating. Pay $1 a mile (from pick up- drop off)
J
I had a ride scheduled for 0655 today (1/20/2021). The driver called at 0638 let it ring once and hung up. Driver called back at 0639, let it ring once and hung up again. Driver canceled the trip because he couldn’t find me. Called the driver back to ask what was going on and he cussed me out after stating “I followed protocol” and hung up. Tried getting a replacement ride and couldn’t do it through my insurance and my doctor’s office doesn’t open until 0730 which is the exact time of my appointment with my provider. VEYO sucks and needs to be run out of the city of Phoenix as a lot of people I have talked to have had similar horrible experiences with them. My insurance company will be getting an earful when they open at 0800.

I have driven for Veyo since the beginning, total 7.5 years when they were discount cab, Veyo used to be good, but as time went on, they got worse, for starters. There are way to many minimum vouchers, who wants to drive almost 10 miles just to pick up a $5.20 fare? Then they came up with a $3.00 cancellation fee to pay the drivers, knowing they would never really pay it, check this out, if a passenger cancels the ride, and lets say your pick up time is 11:00, but you get there at 10:50am they want you to wait 5 minutes after 11:00 just to collect the $3.00. Who is going to wait a total of 15 minutes knowing that the passenger cancelled just to collect $3.00? Veyo says they don't get paid for cancellations, yeah right, because their rules suggest other wise, a while back when i spoke to the operations manager, Greg, who no longer works there; he told me that the insurance company wants us to make every effort to pick up the passenger, well why would they care if we pick up the passenger if they are not paying for it? Veyo never really listened to the drivers, they don't get that if the drivers left, Veyo would no longer exist, we are their lifeline on their survival, but yet they look for ways to lower our pay, and make us travel so far just to pick up a passenger. Only good thing about Veyo is you work your own hours, and get paid every week. I probably will my contract terminated by writing this, but I am just telling the truth.
Hey Joseph, thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate that you've been driving with Veyo since before the beginning of Veyo! We've passed your feedback along to our teams and we hope to improve the experience for you soon! Thanks, Veyo.

It's been very good ,the cars could be more clean, hygiene of employees s alit better ,other than that great company
Hi, Kristy. Thanks so much for taking the time to write us a review.

Several times I've seen their drivers not park spaces in the apartment complex I live in.They park in the way everyone is moving or stopped in the middle where no one can't get around them. Need to teach your drivers better driving skills.
Hi Chris, Sorry to hear this. If you have any specific examples (time, location, vehicle info) please send them to [email protected] so we can investigate and take appropriate actions. Thank you, Veyo.

Based on my driver experience, the biggest problem is cancellations or no-shows which in-turn result in wasted time, effort and zero compensation for the drivers unless you meet a mathematical work equation based on more wasted time and effort. To compound the situation, there is a serious lack of real-time-effective communication between the passengers Insurance/Provider and Veyo call-center/Driver support when there are changes in passenger data such as phone number, blanket pick-ups, or scheduling changes because “Days in a row” being dispatched to the the same no-show passenger that you reported to dispatch/driver support as “no-longer-lives-there” and “phone number doesn’t work” or person at residence says “ don’t knock on my door again looking for this person!” In my opinion, the driver is the only one being penalized for these failures although Veyo is supposed to be a team. The independence of working for Veyo is a plus but there are days when you question the loss of time, effort, money.
Hi John, thank you for sharing your feedback with us , we've passed it along to our teams. Thanks, Veyo.

I love working for Veyo. It's such a blessing to work with people and know that I am making a difference transporting them. Everyday is a different adventure and I learn so much about my fellow Arizonians and about myself. Great Pay is just a Bonus. 🥰🥰🥰

I called and set an appointment for Wednesday this past Friday. It’s Monday I call Veyo to confirm that it’s set. They don’t have anything in the system and I get transferred. I’m told I have to wait 8-24 hours for a verification form to go through and to call tomorrow the day before the appointment to schedule. I’m expecting no Veyo car to show up Wednesday looking at the comments. Or just be very late. Be aware to notify the scheduler that you are new and need them to send the insurance verification form through before you set your first appointment. Or it seems the appointment won’t go through at all. There needs to be a text/e-mail confirmation or something. Update: I've been using Veyo for awhile now and would like to add to my review. I do now get text alerts that my ride has been scheduled. You can not text back when you are ready for your return trip. You have to do the full on call listen to all the prompts to get your return ride. I myself have a toddler with special needs whom has outgrown her stroller and waiting on a wheelchair. Trying to juggle a big screaming kid and make a call for a return ride is not as fun as texting "Yes" for a return trip like with VIPTaxi. The drivers think it's okay to ask why you need a ride and why you can't just walk. I had this happen on my trip to and from the eye doctor. I was getting my eyes dilated, its a 44min walk, and I'm a T1D with constant hypoglycemia that can be triggered by exercise... Why do I need to explain this to strangers?
HI JW, Sorry to hear about your experience. Please email [email protected] with more information about your experience so we can investigate. Thank you, Veyo.
