Uwharrie Bank, West Stanly Office W Main St, Locust

Obtained cash from bank's ATM, proceeded to teller window to exchange smaller bills for larger bills. Young man took $$ and then as an afterthought he asked do you have an account here at Uwharrie? I responded no and he stated can't exchange $$ without an account with them. Will now never consider an account with Uwharrie. Amazed at lack of customer service or future customer service. Your administration needs to work on customer service standards. State credit union and 5th Third Bank are very hospitable and customer focused. Will definitely be choosing between those 2 banks for future accounts. I imagine Uwharrie will remain a small bank as growing customer base doesn't seem to be a priority.

Starting out with an Excellent rating for this beautiful bank in Locust

I have been with this bank even before it opened this branch in Locust- They know me and my entire family- however certain employees at this branch cannot take it upon themselves to use their common sense when trying to help a customer- The only employee there with any common sense seems to be Amy and at times Mary- With Amy our of the office for a week, I needed the help of Mary- what I received was NO HELP from whomever the guy is there in the office 🤬. I therefore had to call the home branch in Albemarle where I was helped without incident! You guys in Locust are ridiculous!! You should pick and choose your battles more carefully!!

I hate when they get new people 🙄🙄 - They never tell you everything you should know before coming in!! 😡😡
