I absolutely love UCB! I had been a customer of Illini for years and stayed with UCB when Illini was bought out. I had a rather complicated issue to deal with and Stephanie helped me with it even after hours. I have always had great customer service from all the girls at the Chatham office and would highly recommend this bank.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with UCB! I’ve banked there for years and everyone I’ve worked with shows me professionalism and compassion every time. Sydney is always extraordinarily helpful, as well!

Absolute clowns. I deposited two checks 3 times! It took 2 full weeks to show up in my account. 1 full week after the president of the bank assured me it would be in that night. The bank president was condescending and could care less. When you can't put money into a bank that bank has serious issues. Terrible customer service from the top on down. Sad.

We have been with UCB for many years and have always been treated respectfully. We have recommended them to our family and friends and they have good experiences as well. They are a great place to bank with.

Cyndy West was an absolute pleasure to work with. She went above and beyond for us multiple times and made our banking experience very easy, enjoyable and financially rewarding.

Very disappointing service from the UCB system. I have been a customer from a number of years and was treated as a child. I use multiple banks and live far away so I keep a very minimum balance in UCB so I can have a local bank for the occasions I return back. Due to a very small fee that was attached to the UCB bank account my account over-drafted. This bank never once notified me, email, call, or text. They let a $150 overdraft fee rack up (I don’t have a reason to check this bank since it's rarely used) before the sent a letter 3 weeks later. Any other one of my banks would call, email, and text to notify me this happened. This is borderline robbery. I can’t trust this bank anymore. I emailed multiple people and sent in complaints and did not get a single response back, unacceptable. The only benefit of using a smaller bank like this should be superior service and they provided very poor and rude service. Take your business elsewhere.

I like their drive up hours overall and their locations. Their call in customer service people aren’t the friendliest or the most knowledgeable either. Meet a branch manager or a VP and deal directly with them. Be careful when you get your rewards cards from them as they start charging $10.00 a month for non usage. I’m not sure how they get away with this as other gift cards from retailers are not allowed to do the same. Also, why would you charge a fee for a customer to do a mobile deposit? Larger banks (US Bank, for one) don’t charge fees for the same service anymore.

When Illini switched over to UCB, customer service was lost. I went from a customer of years with Illini to being a complete stranger to UCB. One week they would cash a 3rd party check. The next week they wouldn't. They at least get a couple stars, because when I did call the manager to say that their service needed to be consistent, she called me back an apologized. She said it was because the teller was not familiar with me as a customer. Do they have no access to see how long of a customer I was with Illini? Sidenote my account had enough money to hold in order for the check to be cashed. Needless to say, I went to my other bank and had it cashed.
