Union Savings Bank S State St, Westerville

Do not go to this location go somewhere else!! I had a mortage with this company for a few years and wanted to refinance for a better rate. I also noticed the customer service and the technology at this location, seemed outdated. I went through quicken loans and the process was good, however working with union savings was very very slow on responses, but i was fine with that since i knew i was leaving. At the time right before closing quicken got a payoff balance from the bank and the automated mortgage payments were held for January. I figured i didnt want a late payment on my file if closing did not happen right away so i paid january knowing i would get the money back in 2 months and the mortgage department assured me of that as well. Closing happened and i got my letter from union savings in February, not showing the extra amount that i should be owed at all. I called union savings bank and was frustrated and confused since i was already closed on the loan and now i would not be getting that money back. I spoke to a woman named Alyssa Martin, the branch manager. I tried to explain the situation and she must have known how confused and upset i was since i was told by her employee that i would be getting this money back. Since closing happened escrow should have been paid in full. She did not help or explain at all and she HUNG UP on me. The woman was completely rude and should NOT be dealing with the public. I am filing a complaint with the regional branch manager and emailing corporate. Also i will be discussing this story on local westerville social media, city council group and filing a bbb report. This type of business is absolutely not acceptable during these times where we all need the money. I will make it my goal to get this message out there about this location so others arent duped by businesses and people like this!

The only thing good I got from this bank was the interest rate on my mortgage. If you don't bank there otherwise you can't pay your bill online, you can't see your payment history or anything regarding your account. In the process of learning all of this my payment was late and they only forgive 1 late fee per the LIFE OF THE LOAN. Thank goodness I only have a 10 yr loan. Seems like this bank is in the stone ages. Wish I would've gone with a more tech savvy bank.

Cant say enough about Union Savings Bank. When it comes to mortgages, Jan'Michael Gintz is a true rock star. ALWAYS stays in contact and is genuine in his efforts to serve. Customer for life.

The worst refinance experience ever. Low interest rates but customer service is awful. Oh they do sell your personal information too.
