Umpqua Bank Se 164th Ave, Vancouver

Missed a line of credit payment by a few days over the grace period due to the latest snow storm followed by work travel. Definitely my fault for the oversight. I’ve never been 30 days late on any payment with Umpqua or ever for that matter. To my surprise, they charged me an astronomical 43% late fee on the payment. Unbelievable, I’ve never heard of such a disproportionately high fee for a late payment. Do yourself a favor, don’t bank with predatory banks like this. This should be criminal. I may refer this to the State AG to look into.

I had left some important papers in the deposit bag which was taken to this bank. I was new to my job, and panicking to say the least. I spoke to Rose the manager and she and the teller, Lauren we're able to retrieve the important papers and get them returned to me via our courier. They saved the day, and possibly my job at that point. Thanks again!

tried to close a loan, had to wait 6 months to sell our house and thought that we could close shortly after we sold. wrong. 4 months later and still not closed, one thing after another, always needing some document or a new bid or something that never ended. After my experience I have heard others have horrible experiences as well with umpqua. Go somewhere else.

Overall, Umpqua Bank has outstanding customer service. This branch in particular goes above and beyond what you would typically expect . The tellers are incredibly helpful and patient with their customers. I also used Umpqua’s home lending services and was very pleased with my loan officer, Jeff Smith. Throughout our entire home buying process, Jeff was responsive and kind. He would consistently offer assistance and reply to emails even after banking hours and on weekends. He showed up to our closing appointment with flowers and a card. He is very genuine and truly cares about his customers. He’s a great example of the customer service experience you will receive at Umpqua Bank.

I am going through a divorce and they were rather quick, within a week, to drop me off the shared account cutting me off from my share of the account. Also they were extremely unhelpful, or dishonest in there "help" getting me info about the account for court on my divorce. Visited the location, the one i went to all the time to do business, to get them to either email or physically pick them up, but over the couple of months i got nearly no help. And charged me $80 in the process. I would give it less stars but i requires to give at least 1.

Drove through icy conditions on Saturday and arrived just at one to cash some checks. Fortunately they didn't turn us away! Very grateful to this bank. They've been serving me well for years.
