UFirst Credit Union S Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City

I have had a account with this credit union since I was a kid. I am 38 now and the customer service from this bank is just awful. I have never received a call back from a lender on any loan application and I have had quite a few loans through them. I was lied to by the bank staff as to why transfers weren't going through. I wanted to spend my money on crypto currency and they wouldn't allow it. They kept blocking the transfers an the worst part is they said they weren't doing it. It took me more than two months to figure it out and to convince them to stop. The bottom line is, its my money, I can spend it any way I see fit and I don't trust liars to hold my money. You wont believe how great other banking institutions are untill you go somewhere else. I know I couldn't. Also, the thing that really made me sad is after 30 years, they wouldn't forgive 1 accidental overdraft during the height of covid and in fact moved that overdraft so that a number of other charges all for small amounts (5-20$) that should have gone through first were overdraft charges. Causing my account to rack up 200+ in charges. I came in the day it happened with cash and they wouldn't help. Just shady, go elsewhere.

Great credit union. I have been a member since 2000 and have had great service at multiple different branch locations, when on the phone, and thru the app. Definitely recommend them for everyone!!

Been several months now since I've opened my account here. Been doing mobile check deposit and they only allow me $500 out of my paycheck and I have to wait 3 days until my remaining paycheck becomes available for me to use. What I thought was a true convenience, mobile deposit, has become more of an inconvenience. How much longer does this go on???

This has been my bank for years, and most of the tellers know me personally by name and greet me with kindness whenever I come in! Camille was very attentive to detail, and incredibly polite in my recent experience!

I go every 2 weeks to cash my payroll check never had an issue. Today 7/16/2021 I went in to cash my check and open a checking and saving account, they denied me due to an expired I.D. I told them my situation how the DLD was booked out until 7/21/2021 showed them an email confirming my appointment to renew my I.D, still denied.I will no longer want to open an account with this bank, they can’t even help do a simple overwrite on an expired ID. This place is a joke.

The WORST company to get a car loan with. Besides stupid rates, During COVID they only offered me ONE solution & been behind ever since. My only option was to pay or let it get repo’d. No options worst so ever. By far the worst company and offers no help when you need it the most.

UFCU employees deserve everything, they are incredible, every time I walk in at any branch they're the best. I've used multiple branches. This is a great bank, but they've gotta manage their savings with a higher rate. If they're going to be competitive, they could match Wealthfront I'd leave my money with UFCU if they could.

I went to the branch right before there closing time. I walked up to the door and as someone went in the door, i was right behind them, the door locked and two tellers or managers passed the door and wouldn’t even attempt to open the door to explain. Horrible experience and bad attitudes of the representatives working there. The customer comes first, right “UFirst”?

The staff was wonderful and kind and just amazing through and through!! I worked with several people. Incredibly helpful and soo sooooooo sweet and engaging with me. I worked with people in the West Valley City branch and another gal who helped me with another department. Aly, Mira, and the wonderful teller I worked with were amazing! Then also on the phone and via email Elena Macias was incredibly helpful and prompt. I truly appreciate all the help and the peace of mind these individuals provided me and my family with in some very difficult times. My deepest gratitude and sincere thanks to each and every one of them and your credit union in general. I have never had a bad experience in the roughly 4 years I have been a member. I applaud you all. 5 stars!

I want to thank Gus Parcells & Jentri from the loan department. They both were very helpful patient and did a phenomenal job from the start. This bank has helped and provided me with financial assistance wether it be from a loan, credit card or a banking account. I highly recommend this credit union over any other thank you guys for your help and support!!!!
