Went in to deposit cash into my savings and the teller made me flip and orient all of my bills because he said it would be faster. This is akin to a chef telling a customer to help with food prep because it would be quicker. I’ve been to other locations with much more money than I had and I have never been asked to do this before which makes sense, as it’s not my job to do so. I don’t recommend bringing in cash to this spot as the teller will most likely make you do their job for them. Awful customer service

Cindy left me a voicemail asking me to call back to “offer me service.” When I called back to ask questions, she was irritated and quick to hang up on me. Strange attitude! Hope I never have to deal with customer service again.

Their customer service SUCKS! Don't bank here. I got charged hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees and was ridiculed by their collections department when I called.

    Response from the owner

Hi Eric, we're sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. We tried to find your account in our system but we could not find an account under your name. If you can provide us with the name that is on your account with us, we can start looking into a solution for you.

Their website is frustrating to navigate. My autopay was changed from paying over my due amount to under without my notice, and any attempt ever made to speak with someone regarding this issue, they were short and completely apathetic. Having had family in banking most of my life, I know that under circumstances when it's the institution's fault, or an unfortunate error is made, they can choose to waive fees at any time. After pleading my case and still having issues with the autopay (which they admit shows up different on their page), they refused to forgive multiple late fees.

I joined UCreditU in 2012. I have since moved out-of-state, but continue to bank with them. I love their banking system. They are really good about reaching-out to you when they suspect fraud on your account by declining debit purchases and sending you an email/text (as per your preference). Banks always make me anxious, and the one on campus was always chill, which I appreciated. Their app is also super helpful for transferring funds or sending money via PayPal. It's pretty robust. Then their MoneyManager online is great. I've been more diligent about visualizing my spending habits and pushing me to be more mindful about my expenses. Great bank. And even when my checks were stolen from my home, UCU was really accommodating and helpful in making sure I got a new account number, debit card, and checks even when I was living in California. Granted, I had to take extra steps to ensure I was the person I said I was, but it was handled in good time. That, to me, speaks volumes about their security. All around amazing. Definitely would recommend them to anyone.

you set up automatic payments, they forget to take the payment from your checking account (while you have the amount in your account settled in time), then they will flag your loan payment as over due and will recommend you to collection office and ruin your credit score. That simple... Happened to me TWICE in last 4 years. Although didn't affect my score last time, I don't need to deal with this nonsense. Each time they upgrade a software, they forget to restart these payments and end up flagging your account. Will take my business somewhere else, ASAP...

The worst bank I have ever had the displeasure of doing service with--unwilling to help, long wait times, screeching high voices, rude tellers--unwillingness to assist customers experiencing difficulties during covid--overall a truly terrible experience and you will be much happier switching over to america first! They love their customers and there's none of that stuck up Utah vibe :) Switch credit unions youll be happier.

As a student, if you wanna apply for Student Reward Visa card, make sure you have ZERO debt! After paying off most of my credit debt, they still refused to open up a credit card for me. Reason they made: Because my student full-time income is low! This is strange that a UNIVERSITY credit union decline opening credit card for a STUDENT who has already more than 5 credit cards with no record of decline!

I got a HELOC loan through them, decided to refinance and pay it off. They asked for multiple documents, all had to be sent twice because they lost them. They received the payoff and in the meantime charged $25 in interest (not a lot I know) but refused to write it off as this account was to be paid for and closed. I paid it myself. The bank then ran the check......twice! So I am being penalized for their mistake. We have sent a second check over as they refused to accept wire transfers. Now they are requesting the original paperwork and signatures again!! This is unbelievable. They are only out to make money and scam you out of more. I do not recommend them, STAY AWAY! Especially when dealing with Julene, Sarah and Melinda the branch manager. Extremely unhelpful. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

The Assistant Manager Arielle Towers will try her hardest to take advantage of you. Be careful No particular branch !!!Be careful when getting a payoff !! If you need a payoff They will give you a payoff that is wrong and when you send the money in they will tell you that you owe more , they will ad fees to it and nothing you can do out it. Beware !!!!
