Suntrust changed their name to Truist. So, Truist cancelled our debit cards before we were able to have the replacement Truist cards. Social Security was unable to make deposits into the Truist accounts. I was unable to use my card to get groceries or gasoline and was unable to have my check honored at Staples. This morning, I got an email that a monthly automated payment was refused. I am unable to see my account transactions and balances online. I was asked to agree to a new online policy, but was unable to see the policy.

Terrible for business accounts. Connecting to Quickbooks has been a 2 month nightmare. Their credit card portal looks like it hasn't been updated in 10+ years. Ordering credit cards for employees is extremely difficult. The maximum limits on mobile deposit is so small, it's a joke. The people are nice, but the infrastructure just isn't there to support today's businesses.

This bank is horrible. Can't get them on the phone, they don't return calls, never respond to emails. Nothing about this bank has been easy to deal with. Stay away from this bank especiallythe branch in Oak Ridge!!!! Would leave zero stars if I could.

It's a bank. It does what banks do. 😁 Everyone is super nice.

I understand that bank tellers are trained to promote their bank services, but SunTrust in Oak Ridge has asked me now for 3+ years what I'm doing with MY money that I withdrawal from my account. I hate going to the bank because of this, it's so inappropriate and frankly is none of their business.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE company. I planned a trip to California and spoke with Truist BEFORE I left about being able to use my debit without the fraud alerts they LOVE to place on my card. Was told everything would be fine. Get out to California and within one week my card was shut down due to……FRAUD ALERT! If it weren’t for my father wiring me money I would have been stranded and sleeping in my car. Fast forward to today I get yet another fraud alert saying somebody tried to use my card at a local gas station. The card is in my freaking wallet. Card deactivated yet again and the local Truist is closed so guess what? Once again no access to my money until Monday. This company is a sham.

Was once good (two decades ago). Now, changing name and closed the Clinton branch (really, in the county seat?) So, they left me and I've moved on to Regions.

While I understand bank tellers can only do so much they could at least have a positive attitude. Idk if the teller was having a bad day or if she normally has a cloudy disposition. I went to regions. Even though the teller there couldn't help me she was at please nice and attempted be be helpful rather than telling me "I can't do this". Trust me, just go to Regions; they atleast make an effort.

My husband, who was a disabled veteran, had an account at this bank. He passed away May 22, 2018. SunTrust was notified of his death. His Social Security benefits went into his account automatically toward the end of every month. We were in the midst of planning his funeral, grieving and all that that entails. SunTrust bank begin sending us overdraft charges from his account daily. I went to SunTrust to explain to them that he had passed and to close the account and not let anyone attempt to use this account for automatic monthly withdrawals until we could figure out and call each business with my account (at a different bank) information. Suntrust allowed this to continue even allowing some to attempt to go through up to 4 times at a charge of $35 per time in fees.Within a few weeks my husband's $1300 Social Security check had all gone to Suntrust in overdraft fees that they initiated. Not only was this predatory it is also Social Security fraud. I would absolutely not recommend this bank to anyone. That they would take advantage of a disabled veteran and his widow for their own monetary gain is beyond despicable.
