Truist E Broad St, St Pauls

I have banked with BBT since 2004. I have both personal and a business account there. They have changed managers many times and now their service is just horrible. I wanted to submit a small business COVID load, they would not help me, I was told they don't do that, gave me an email address I could write to for help. I expressed my frustration several times to Jeremy.Baker - branch banker and he informed me they are now the 2nd largest bank in the country (No they are not, they are the 8th) They had a billion people applying for the load (impossible- there are only 382 million people in the country) and that they don't deal with this at the branch. Unbelievable!! I told him, fine, Fidelity was courting me to change banks so that is exactly what I was going to do. I pulled $300,000 out of my savings account, opened an account with Fidelity, the next day they helped me submit the paperwork with SBA and with in 24 hours I had approval and the money in my new account. It will take me some time to finish moving my account away from BBT, but I will make it my life's mission to move from there. They do not believe in helping their community at all.

If I could give zero stars I would. Seriously charging $72 for nsf literally an hour before our check hit the account and they had the check on hold for a week before that so they knew the money was there. Not to mention charging us $15 for a family member to put money in our account. Ridiculous

Horrible, I really wanted to have a go count and arrive first, we wrote the name on a waiting list and only one person came into the office of the person in charge of opening the accounts and only step above those we expected ... My thoughts just because we will be Hispanic, these things happen to us or only today is the day we will have to wait for !!! I really do not like this bank I do not recommend it and especially the service too bad

I'm giving this establishment 1 star because zero stars aren't an option. My reasoning being that they charge $5 might be more now to cash a check from their bank if you don't have an account there which to me is ridiculous. The employees are snobby and rude. Last but not least my 84 year old neighbor whom is well known in our small town went to the ATM on July 3rd about 8:30 am to withdraw her monthly social security pension to pay her bills with, the only thing the ATM dispensed was her receipt showing that she had withdrawn her entire check but no money was dispensed which was witnessed by two gentlemen in line behind her. At the same time a bank employee drove up and was unlocking the door and my neighbor approached her and explained what happened and instead of checking the ATM or the cameras she gets an attitude and basically accused my neighbor of pretending to have not got the money and calls the police on her. Here it is 3 days later and this widow who is on a fixed income and barely makes it from month to month is out of her entire check because this bank could careless about it's customers. The ATM stays out of order more than it does in service.

Really bad service is friday long time in the line and they have a just one teller what's wrong with the service!!!
