I had a bad experience at this Lorton branch. The employee names Mariam Mazengiawitt is rude and was talking on her cellphone the whole time. I went up to her desk and she still didn’t help me. I complained to the manager and the manager didn’t do anything as well. Very poor customer service. Ended up going to the Woodbridge branch after

Suntrust bank doesn’t like customer to know all of their banking info at all. Plus this particular branch is full of non helping employees.

If I could have given this branch zero stars, I would have in a heartbeat. Of my 10+ years as a SunTrust client, dealing with this branch has been the absolute worst experience. Almost every employee at this branch is in desperate need of a very thorough retraining on the utmost basics of business etiquette and customer service. I asked my wife (who has her own checking account there, by the way) to obtain a formal letter of reference acknowledging that we had a joint account together. This was something I required for legal purposes. I work in real estate and have obtained formal documents like this countless times in order to verify income for my clients, so I know that this is something that banks do frequently. However, the personal banker that ended up "assisting" my wife rudely asks why she needed it (none of your business, lady) and demanded to see the marriage certificate... LOL - WHY? She has a valid ID and the PHYSICAL CARD to our SUNTRUST joint account. Not to mention, a copy of our marriage certificate was made when we opened the joint account. All that aside, my wife politely returned back home to get the certificate and went back to the same employee. In an effort to spite my wife, I suppose, the banker wrote up something that wouldn't have passed as a formal document in any corner of the world. It is actually comical how an older, professional adult is incapable of writing a basic formal letter. What kind of standards are we setting here, Suntrust? For one, it was riddled with grammatical mistakes and abbreviations. Spell check exists for a reason, people. It didn't even include A SIGNATURE (it's a formal document, once again), and it didn't even list the bank's physical location. So basically, it looked like a fake document that someone made on Microsoft Paint. When my wife brought me this atrocity, I was livid. You don't have to be the CEO of Northrop Grumman to know how to write a formal legal document. OBVIOUSLY you need to sign it. OBVIOUSLY you should use spellcheck. OBVIOUSLY you should have a personal signature already set up with your name, position, and office address. The fact that I had to walk them through this was unbelievable. They had a notary on-site, for God's sake, and they didn't even think to use her for the letter. Fortunately for this person, she wasn't there when I got to the bank that weekend. And I'll be the first to admit, I feel quite terrible for taking out my anger on another personal banker who was actually much more competent and sincere. I apologize for taking my anger out of her, but as you can imagine, I was pissed that I had to come in on Saturday just to clear this up. And don't even get me started on the tellers, one of them couldn't even spell the country that we live in on a cashier's check that I was sending to the a United STATES (yes, there's an "S" on the end, believe it or not) government office. Completely unacceptable. I had to pay for 4 cashier's checks because she messed up the first two. Alas, I ask myself, "why do I even put up with this mediocre company?" No idea. Do yourself a favor an open up an account with Navy Federal or Capital One instead.

Avoid this Suntrust branch at all cost if you need banking services with CSR specifically with CSR Marman. She has always been super slow and has no idea what she is doing at the customer sevice desk. We have never encounter these issues with any other banking branch. Plus, this branch always has one representative only. Horrible customer service.

I just left this location. I received a call from card security and letter saying there was some activity on my card ok cool cancel it and send a new one. So I’ve never had to actually deal with tellers I go to the atm actually I barely use cash I use my card. So today was horrible took them a whole decade to print the counter check, the pet that frustrated me was the fact that we sent the little thing back and forth through the pipes and not once did she Place it in there. Then she asked me for my debit card and someone was walking back and forth and a big black girl came and gave me my check then 2-3 other people came like why so many people? Is it because I’m black and have a nice balance in my account? So then I just told them how frustrate d I was because my check was dated wrong as well so I was already upset about that. If there was an issue someone should of said something. Y’all suck never again the Springfield location is so much better, they are warm and awesome! I love it maybe that’s why they haven’t remodeled that location. Never again.

Banking is a customer based job! You can tell management styles when you walk a building, besides the HORRIBLE smell , the tellers are the only staff that greet you! Never the individual staring you in the face as soon as you walk thru the door!
