    Toyota Financial Services Reviews

I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews. Payments with Toyota financial were always easy (I always had it on auto pay) and I had it set for the 1st of every month. Not sure why everyone is having so much trouble with paying- just set it up on auto pay. Getting my title after my lease was up was also super easy. I love my Camry in blizzard pearlđź’ś

I recently changed my checking account regarding my vehicle however I was charged with a late fee. So called TFS I informed that the money was always in the account and even got an email acknowledgement of the monies but nothing debited Ithe representative walked me through the app and the problem has been rectified. What I'm most pleased about the wait time to speak with a representative was quick and fast that in comparison to other corporate entities is a win win bravo

Paid off my vehicle in November. In January I start receiving delinquent notices. Found out they applied the check to the wrong account. Called many many times for resolution and still on January 12, it's not fixed. I also had to pay them to FedEx me my clear title when it finally processes. I shouldn't have to pay anything since this was their error. BEWARE when financing here.

They put my first due date on a Saturday. I go to pay it and it won’t let me since it’s a weekend. The earliest I can make the payment is Monday and get told late fees and interest will occur. And of course no one’s there to take a phone call on a Saturday just mind blowing.

Please whatever you do with TOYOTA do not set up autopay on the TFS app. They intentionally do let your payments credited to your account and eager to charge you to collections. With my mind rested i already scheduled my payments. Second time this is happening.

This is the WORST experience I have ever had dealing with customer service. I have been trying to get a P.O.A to register a my lease in a new that that requires this. I started at the end of February when I moved to Rhode Island. I been given the run around, lied too and ignored. Also there is No SUPERVISOR the speak with. I have bought or least 4 cars from Toyota and sent them other business. My wife and I will Never get a other vehicle or send anyone there. This is ridiculous and I will be reaching out to a attorney because my registration is expiring and I will not have transportation.. JUST HORRIBLE

I work for a dealership that has been paying off traded vehicles. This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. It took us a year to get 1 title. I now have 2 more approaching a year and still haven't received them. They say they sent them as well as POA's but we never receive them. Trying to get through to someone takes forever then they hang up on you. I will tell everyone I know never never get a loan through Toyota Financial. The worst finance company I have ever had to deal with. I had to give a star in order to post this but believe me they don't deserve ANY stars.

Consistently getting charged late fees. They do not allocate my payments appropriately and then tell me my account is past due. For my last two leases they have done this. I call to get it fixed I get reassured they will take care of it and they don’t. The customer service is horrible and rude. Do not finance or lease through them they are the worst company

This is literally the WORST company I have EVER done business with. I paid off my truck on August 6th 2021, and then sold it. I bought a vehicle that was much cheaper in exchange for the truck and the dealership is currently holding a $20,000 check for me contingent on receiving the title to the truck or the lien release. Toyota Financial's automated phone service CLAIMS they mailed the title to me on August 17th, 2021. It is now October 2nd, 2021 and I have NOT received a title. I have called them over 15 times, and either been put on hold for hours, only for them to close for the day while I was on hold, or to get ahold of a representative and be told there is nothing they can do. They claim to have sent a lien release to the dealership that is holding my check over a month ago, but the dealership has never received it. Then they told me they would mail me a lien release; which they never did. I called again, and they told me that they would send me the lien release via 2-day FedEx (this was two weeks ago), but refused to provide a tracking number, and I still have not received the lien release. I called again this past Wednesday, and they said it has shipped but would still not provide a tracking number. The woman I spoke to guaranteed it would be here Friday (yesterday), and still have not received it. All this company does is lie to you and give you the runaround. This debacle is costing me $20,000.00 and I am NOT happy about it. I will NEVER do business with Toyota Financial again, and I VERY strongly recommend that you do not either, no matter how good of an interest rate they give you to finance through them. This company is horrible.

Horrible experience with Toyota financial. I wanted to purchase my vehicle and after speaking with the rep on the phone, they told me to remove my auto pay for the last month and instead send in the entire balance for the payoff. 1 month later the account was closed and title sent to me but they reported me to the 3 credit unions for late payment. All I did was follow their instructions and now I messed up my credit. Terrible financial institution

ZERO STARS!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! STAY AWAY!!! THE WORST service I've ever dealt with. They're always updating their behind the times app then they mess up your info and payment and penalize YOU for it. They have no answers and no contact. Never had an issue with DODGE so my next car will NOT be a Toyota and never will be again! I cannot wait to be done dealing with this incompetent excuse for a finance company. What a pathetic joke!!!

Probably the worst financial services company to deal with; extended our lease until July (called in February to extend the lease), however the car was “picked up” (in our driveway without us knowing and with personal items in it) by a “repossession company”. Now we have to go to the repossession lot that the car is in to pick up personal belongings that were left in the car. When we called Toyota Financial the rep who answered the phone said, “Well, you weren’t going to buy the car anyway.” Really nice way to treat a customer of 30 years; ex-customer now. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone after this.

Been trying to get my title transferred for SIX months because I moved. The best their customer service department can tell me is "the dmv's fax machine must not be working" complete joke of a company. Definitely going to refinance asap. Horrible customer service. Horrible app. Update. After 11 months, being sent forms saying my car was a lease, proving its not a lease, and form after form after form.... I finally got my tags. Wow.

So I am reviewing TFS themselves, not specifically this place in NJ. I have had 3 car loans with them and never had any issues. I used to extend my loan a month and add to end when I needed money, and this was never an issue either. I feel sorry for everyone and their issues.

The representative was not bad at all. It is the experience as Toyota as a whole. I've worked with customer service and this is not a representation of the associates but the company. I'm very upset with the duration of time to get my title. I expedited my payment from the 12 to the 13th of March and we are in April 6th of just receiving my title. I understand this is a very large company but this is no excuse of why it took over 3 weeks to receive a title. When the payment was expected, I've provided it with no issues and no late fees. Accepted the lease end payment agreement and was consistent. I would expect better service, my father did not have a car for the last 3 weeks (intentionally I paid this car to give to him). So please realize I had to do a lot of shifting in my schedules to assist him during these covid times. I am not asking for compensation, but for some better service to me and others. I've read the google reviews and it seems like everyone else has the same issue. I was looking into financing a car with you guys but it seems like I will take my business with someone else. I know this may not mean much but if a business if getting $32,000 within the course of having a car for less than 2 year this should mean a lot.

Terrible all around. I had just recently purchased a car and was told payments start in March. 2 weeks after March has passed and I still never received a statement for my bill so I called. Upon calling I was told that my payments would start in April instead. Now here comes Aprils statement in the mail and it says I didn’t pay for March and I now have to pay both on top of a late charge fee. I tried to dispute it for over a week and they did nothing for me. I was told by others that they can extend the first payment to the last so I wouldn’t have to worry about it. At first they told me I could but they have to escalate it to management and I would receive a call. That was March 22nd. I call back today March 25th to find out it was denied and I have to pay everything. They gave me no reason or no help at all even though it is entirely their fault. They have extended it for others before but they wouldn’t for me. Once I can I will no longer work with Toyota at all as I’ve had just terrible experience after terrible experience.

They did not file our payoff with the State of Virginia. Now as I’m trying to sell the car they have to mail the release to me —10 years after the fact—and I have to deal with the DMV. Will NEVER use Toyota Financial Services again. On the plus side my 2003 Highlander was a great car.

This is the worse ever customer experienced I have ever had. And I don't think anyone should ever go through such thing. I missed payment all because someone in TFS refused to do their job. I missed payment for two months and although the TFS has my email, house addressed and phone number they choose to called me and when not getting to me, could not sent a letter to my address or email me to let me know. Why should it take two months 🤔 for them to contact me, let alone email or send a letter except that benefit them than me. Highly disappointed as that mistake has caused my credit worthiness. I have been with TFS for almost 3years and never missed a payment. The worse part is when a Customer Service Rep took my checking account to deduct the full two months payment they came back to say the bank did not honor it which was never true. As after the late payment was triggered another rep took same details and deduction was successful. Never again but I don't it is worth doing business with TFS as their interests is what they look for and nor the customer.

I paid a car off that had a co-signer. I requested multiple times to have the bill of sale with just my name because I am the owner. They refused to give that and the Department of Motor Vehicle will not take the bill of sale and give me my title. The co-signer is no longer in the area. I spent five years paying for a car, never late, and for what. So that I can’t even prove it is only mine because, though the DMV has the correct information showing in their system, Toyota Financial Services won’t submit the document with the correct information. DO NOT GET A LOAN WITH THEM.

Impossible service. If anyone from Toyota would ever look at all of these negative reviews, changes would occur. If changes don’t occur, Toyota is a failed corporation.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! We will never buy Toyota again because of the service! After we bought the car from the Toyota leasing company, we never received the title. We were told to call Toyota Financial Services. The holding time is 1 hour and 20 minutes. After we finally received a call from them, the signal was lost (I really think it is on purpose at this point) The customer service person just hang up without leaving any number to call back. He definitely did not try call back again. So now, we have to wait another 1 hour and 20 minutes AGAIN just to talk to someone. UNBELIVABLE!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I never leave reviews for businesses, but Toyota Financial Services is the absolute WORST customer service imaginable. The wait time is a waste of LIFE and so ridiculous. Makes me reconsider ever purchasing from Toyota again. Also the people working here are clueless as to anything. Toyota - PLEASE DO BETTER. Your service is terrible.

Horrible customer service! I'm on hold for what they say is 45 minutes.....but guess what.....the recording also said that the Customer Service hours are reduced and will end before my 45 minute wait time!! So I have to wait 45 minutes and probably won't ever speak to a live person before the end of their work day! Unbelievable. I'm calling because they are screwing up the interest on my account! Never will I finance through Toyota Financial again!

If I could rate them a 0, I would. Although I had no particular issues with my Toyota, I had significant issues with Toyota Financial. They are by far the worst corporate entity I have, ever, ever worked with. They are absolutely predatory in their tactics, unrelentingly aggressive in all financial matters, and they must teach their service "professionals" to talk loudly over you no matter what you have to say. I will never, ever get another Toyota, simply because of the way their Financial operates. They are an absolute nightmare. Run, don't walk, from Toyota as fast as you can. Save yourself the nightmare of trying to work with them.
