Zero stars! I can't imagine a worse customer service experience. After a total loss house fire on 4/15/22 I discovered that Towne Mortgage had put in place a Lender Placed policy at the exact same premium that I had through my insurance company so I wouldn't notice the change. This was 3+ years ago and they continued to renew the policy collecting the profits on this scam they have in place with Proctor Insurance. Never communicated the change to me other than two letters in 2018 that they claim they sent via USPS. No phone call, no email, no communication outside of the minimum required by law. If that's the experience you feel you deserve from your Mortgage lender then this is the Company for you. If not, move your loan away from Towne Mortgage ASAP! It took 5+ weeks for them to payoff my loan via Proctor Insurance and now that I'm trying to get the fire damaged home out of my name I continue to get the runaround from this completely inept Organization. I've had to explain processes and needs to every individual I've dealt with at Towne Mortgage. Their so called Specialists have no idea what they're doing and have consistently let my pleas to have this nightmare experience closed out go unanswered. If you expect any reasonable level of Customer Service, Sense of Urgency, or general competency from your Mortgage Lender I highly suggest never dealing with this Organization. Their system is antiquated, their people incompetent, and their processes slow and unreliable even when having the steps needed explained in detail to their employees. I cannot express enough the fact that you are at risk by utilizing Towne Mortgage as your lender. They prioritize profits over people like any Company but they do so in manner that blurs the line of legality and decency.

I have been with Town mortgage for 2 1/2 years all fairly smooth but when I purchased the home between the title company and town mortgage the summer taxes were left out of the closing and I ended up owing $700 in late fees TL the city after going back and forth between the two for several months. Now I received my November payment and it has increased $600 a month with no documentation to support the increase until I called and reached out to them I plan to pull my mortgage from them this month and refinance elsewhere as they are not effective in there communication and ensuring the CUSTOMER is taken care of. By this I don’t mean pay by bill I mean communicating changes

Lance was fantastic to work with and we can’t say enough great things about our experience. Communication was always quick and clear responses to our questions. The worst company ever. Everytime i call thry unable to help. I am not sure why the company put these customer representative to answer the calls when they cant even help. One time i called to find out if they do a calculation about my payment and the representative could not help. Another time it was with my payment, and they could not help me. Today issue was with a recurrent payment that i did not even apply for. The system is difficult to use. I have called on multiple occasions for them to help me with the system, no one is able to help. Instead of helping, they told me if i pay with them, i would be charge $9.00 extra. Today, town mortgage deducted money from my account twice which put my account overdraft of 700. I called them to tell them to reverse the money today and the customer representative was unable to help. She told me to send an email. I am very upset. Whyyyyyy paying people to answer call when they cant help! Stop this nonsense.

Towne Mortgage Company has a secret weapon, his name is Lance Paulsen. Lance and his crew did a refinance for me on my home. Under normal conditions dealing with anything under the mortgage category can be challenging and frustrating. With Lance it was actually relaxing and fun. The expert handling of my mortgage and I'm sure anyone else fortunate to chose Towne Mortgage will no doubt forever change the face of the mortgage industry. Thanks so much for a job well done. My account executive is top-notch, always willing to answer any questions and if not readily available will go to get my question answered as quickly as possible. Never fails to find in underwriting answer when posed to her. Goes above and beyond, as well as gets in touch with me on the weekend if needed. Underwriters are pleasant and very experienced. Always willing to give a phone call to brainstorm an issue if we run into anything. Closing is always a pleasant experience and getting things out such as a early CD and closing disclosures are always smooth and seamless. Always an excellent experience. PS, also willing to help when a lock is close to expiring. Always willing to do whatever it takes to keep the deal alive and get it to the table! Top-notch through and through!

I am very pleased with the service of Towne Mortgage and specifically Robert Preston and his assistant Allison. I was a current client of Towne Mortgage and happy with my mortgage. Robert pro-actively reviewed my current mortgage and noticed that if I refinanced with them I could lower my rate and pay it off in 15 years vs the current 30 year term for about the same monthly payment. Preston explained my options and emailed me a summary of options that easily illustrated the benefits of refinancing with them. I agreed and his team did a great job of easily processing my new loan. I refinanced my home with Towne Mortgage Company in October of 2017 and couldn’t have been more pleased with the entire process. I was contacted by my LO Philip within minutes of submitting my application. Phil was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable of the entire process He answered all my questions in terms I could understand. My processor Erin also made this process so easy! She replied to my e-mails and phone calls very quickly and was also so easy to work with. I started my application on 9/21/2017 and closed my loan on 10/20/2017. Not only was the process of applying for and closing on my mortgage with Towne Mortgage Company easy, so is their servicing department. I had to call servicing to get some help with setting up my on-line payments, and was extremely lucky to get in touch with Dee!!! She too is a pleasure to deal with. She is knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Those types of qualities are very difficult to find in a customer service rep and Dee nails it! Cale Ritter is the best loan officer I’ve ever dealt with. He made the transaction so easy. He’s so very knowledgeable. We’ve purchased many homes, and this was By far the best and easiest. He worked with us so well. I’ll continue to use him in the future.

Started out with another "BIG" Company. they gave me the run around. Jayvin happened to call me and explained his services. Made the entire process seamless start to finish. I would not go through anyone else! Definitely would recommend Town Mortgage!

Fastest refi that I have ever done and it was done during a pandemic! Jim and others worked quickly and efficiently. Everything was handled online or over the phone with the exception of the final signing. That was done at our house with the notary following all safety protocols and guidelines. I am very satisfied with the service that Towne Mortgage provides.

They made two mortgage account payments back to back days from our account. The process takes 7-10 business days for the money to come back to our account. The best the friendly customer service person could do was give us an email to send photo proof of them double charging our account. They seem kind hearted in trying to help but everytime my fiance called she spoke to a different person. Their solution was for us to mail in the payment next month... If your a company and your payment system is failing that terribly that someone should mail in their payment over using the current system you should really reinvest in your systems. We additionally need to wait to get our money back, and let's be honest it's not like this stuff comes with a credit .. most likely will just be an apology. Depending on how they handle will be based on how I update this review. Does anyone know how hard it is to switch mortgage companies? All we are looking for is a one that doesn't double charge and has an online system of payment that we can use without fear of being double charged again. Update: Although my issue occurred on a Friday, they were very response in handling the issue and refunding us with a check (through the mail) they sent out that following Monday. I am not sure how long until the check comes in yet. Everyone was helpful, it's just very uncomfortable to have a systems error like that, and it was not like we were offered any sort of credit, just a here's the money back about 4-6 days later.

Towne Mortgage company came through in the clutch for me and helped me to complete the purchase of my new home after quicken loans let me down. The Sr Mortgage Consultant I dealt with at Towne Mortgage was Howard Heyman and he was awesome in helping me to seal the deal for my new home. Originally I applied for the loan with quicken but after several miscalculation of what my mortgage would be I started to feel like they were making too many mistakes and I lost trust in there process because they were very rude and obnoxious and they made me feel like I was not a priority. All that changed when my real estate agent, Jen Wells (look her up if you need an agent, she’s awesome) referred me to Howard over at Towne Mortgage. From the first moment we spoke Howard made me feel like I was in good hands and I was a priority and that he would do everything necessary to get me the best rates for the home I was purchasing and i could tell he was passionate about doing just that. We were 16 days away from the original closing date and Howard worked day and night to make sure we made that date. He got me a much better rate than quicken originally quoted me, he was always available for me when I needed to talk or had questions whether it was 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning(because I work swing shift). Howard even showed up to the signing to make sure everything went smoothly even though, from what I understand, many times the a representative from the mortgage company doesn’t show up to the signing. So I thought that was awesome and it just shows the level of dedication the team over at Towne Mortgage has in seeing their clients all the way through the process from beginning to end. This was my first home purchase and thanks to an awesome real estate agent(Jen Wells) and an Awesome loan officer(Howard Heyman) it was a great experience and hopefully when I am ready to purchase a new home I can deal strictly with these two individuals because with them I know I am in great hands!
