I'm writing this review in our dream house thanks to the Sherry Riano team! Very responsive (even after work hours and weekends!) and transparent throughout the entire process. The online portal let's you easily keep track of your mortgage application status, which was really helpful since we went from verbal offer to closing in about a month. Great experience working with this team.

The Sherry Riano Team has been so great to us! We had a terrible experience with another lender and Hunter and his team have gone above and beyond to make our home buying experience as smooth as possible! Highly recommend The Sherry Riano Team and wish we had started with them! Don’t make our mistake go to them first!

As a first time (widowed) buyer, I was extremely nervous about relocating to a new state. One of the first people I spoke with, and who continued to “hold my hand” was Hunter Boyd. He gently and confidently explained each step of this overwhelming process. Talking with him was like talking to my son, right from the start! Knowing the process a step at a time made it manageable, and even enjoyable. Friendliest support I’ve ever experienced in the business world. They worked with me through many different aspects of my mortgage process. We even looked at walking away from the home we had put under contract with only 5 days before closing and Hunter was happy and willing to take the time to walk us through the other house we had found and went through the whole process on what it was going to cost for our new monthly payment compared to the old monthly payment and pointed us in the right direction when we had other questions that he could not answer. I would highly recommend them!

I had the opportunity to meet Sherry Riano through a mutual friend by phone almost 12 years ago. She was very helpful on a refinance for a property I owned in Greensboro, NC. My wife and I bought our dream home in July 2015. Sherry and her Team again assisted in the financing process, which eliminated the stress and burden of trying to find a lender you truly trust and have confidence in closing the deal. I decided in 2020 to take advantage of the low rates and called Sherry once again. Please note this was right before the pandemic hit around March, that shut down almost every business. Sherry and her Team reached out and assured me there might be a slight delay, but would be honoring my original rate even though the date had expired. The closing eventually took place via a courier service and was probably the easiest and most seem less one I have ever experienced. I have never met Sherry personally, but am proud to say I feel as though I have my own personal lender only a phone call away. Years will pass and Sherry and her Fantastic Team will still know you by name and town on the next call. I recommend her to everyone I know that are looking to purchase or just refinance. Her energetic personality and confidence just shines through the phone on each call, while making the financing process a little more rewarding.

The Sherry Riano team was amazing from start to finish. Hunter led us through every step and was always available when we had questions. He made the process very easy even for first time homebuyers like myself. When we needed to get documentation for underwriting, Jordan provided us with all the documents that we needed and solutions for hard to get documents. We were blessed to work with an amazing team and will be working with them for future mortgages.

Hunter was a very helpful, responsive, and flexible loan officer and the communication from Sherry's team was always clear, making each stage of the process easy to understand. Started out well, but the closer we got to the closing the worse they got. I got an email almost every day for the last two weeks with more things to do. I responded within an hour or two each time. Two months before the closing they told me we needed an estimate for the flood insurance. We got that. Then, on Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend, when our closing was on Tuesday morning, they tell us we need to actually get the flood insurance and pay for it $3,700. Thankfully the agent was a friend, and we got it done in less than two hours. The closing was set to be in my office at 10:00. My wife came to the office, and we waited for 30 minutes and the notary didn't show up. I called Hunter. He told me that the lender hadn't gotten everything ready, so the closing couldn't happen yet. I asked him when he was going to tell us. My wife was just waiting here. That was thoughtless and unprofessional. We set the closing for the next day and thought everything had gone well. Then the notary called me on the way home and told me we had to do it again since the lender had messed things up again. My wife came to my office yet again. We went through 199 pages of closing documents again. The lawyer just called me again a week later and told me the lender had messed up the CD. He's emailing it to me to sign again. Not a good experience.

Sherry and her team did a great job! We were able to secure our loan quickly, and we got updates all throughout the process that explained what was happening. We would definitely recommend using them again!

This is now the third time we’ve used Sherry to secure our loan, and working with her is always a fantastic experience. As a customer, she’ll treat you like a friend; she always has time for you and she and her team are insanely aggressive in locking you in at the best interest rates (Thanks again Hunter!). We used the Sherry Riano Team / First Heritage Mortgage for our home loan on our realtor's recommendation, and BOY HOWDY are we glad we did. Chris Brazell was our loan officer, and he was so helpful and generous with his time and knowledge to walk us through the whole process. Seriously, can't recommend them enough.

Rude and discriminatory...!! - only provides good service to " entitled" people Very bad experience with Sherry Riano team... Firstly they didnt give us the lock-in rate they promised.. they said lender not offering that now...they forgot to include our design selection deposit as part of down payment lot of mistakes in amounts in the lock-in quotes they sent... when we pointed that out they asked us to go to shop somewhere else.... borderline discriminatory.... We only selected them because they were preferred lender....

Thanks to Alex everything went very smooth for the all process of buying our first house! He was always available and ready to research the answer to all our questions.
