The Pawn Store Douglas Ave, Des Moines

Drove 2 hours to come to your store to buy blu ray movies and a couple guns. How hard is it to be open during your posted business hours on your door, on Google and on your Facebook page. And if you are closed for remodeling then how about posting that as well or even having that as a voicemail when a customer calls.. I will never be back to your store. Other places will gladly take my money and business...mainly because they are open when they say they are open. And now I understand why you have such a low review score!!!

Owner is extremely kind! He helped my family during a very trying time. He gives an honest and fair price to those who come in & is very knowledgeable on numerous items! Thank you Jeff! My family appreciates you greatly!

these guys are great, have helped me out on several occassions! I've never had a pawn shop that will let me make payments on the loaned amount if i couldn't pay all the balance plus interest. I've enjoyed visiting with them while I'm in there! I won't go anywhere else!

How hard is it to give details over the phone? "I'd have to see it." in-store rep over the phone. If it's in good condition what more do you need? I'll have to take it in eventually and you can see it then (I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth even taking it in) but you cant see that far ahead?? If it's in good condition and working order your telling me I cant even get a range on price over the phone?? All good I ain't that desperate, apologies for all the people that are and have to put up with that bs. ZERO stars if I could.

This place is a huge joke. It’s a legal way for the wanna b ZZ Top fat dude and the old grey haired lady to steal possessions from you. That’s exactly what will happen if you use this place. They don’t wanna give people even 10% of what things are worth taking advantage of people in a tight spot is about the lowest thing anyone can do. These two have no customer service skills they work at a pawn shop but are better then everyone else. The store is a wreck on the inside with things just thrown everywhere and the outside isn’t much different. That is a good sign of what kind of place this is so take the warning and don’t even waste your time here.
