The young ladies that work here are so disrespectful. Absolutely horrible, I plan to find another bank. The young lady yelled at me and cursed at me. Every time I go to this Credit Union 30th Community College they all have attitudes. No one speaks when you come in. The only person that greets me is the security guard at the door. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!

    Response from the owner

Aleah, Thank you for your feedback regarding your in-branch experience. We reached out to you to learn additional details about your visit. Please call us back or send us an email at [email protected]. Thank you!

I have frequented rhis credit union many times. It is a shared branch that i use. The staff is impatient and rude. They will not go above to assist customers neither do they smile or have a friendly supportive attitude. This is not a place to do business for me again

    Response from the owner

Todd, we’re sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. Please understand that since you’re not an OHecu member, we are limited in our capacity to service your accounts. The CO-OP Shared Branching network was designed to allow members of one credit union to perform specified transactions at another credit union. As a result, credit unions cannot go beyond the scope of these restrictions when servicing the accounts of non-members. This applies to all credit unions part of the CO-OP Shared Branching network, not only OHecu. We’re more than happy to assist Shared Branching members that visit any of our branch locations. However, we must reiterate that our servicing capabilities for non-members have limitations. Thank you.

I needed help accessing my Curewards account. After a number frustrating conversations with less than helpful individuals, I reached a rep named Tammy. She PATIENTLY walked me through the steps needed to unlock this account. I very much appreciated her GREAT HELP. THANK YOU TAMMY!!!

I support Credit Unions but as time went on banking with OHECU became more of a hastle. After moving out of state I switched to a different Credit Union and wow I'm no longer stuck in 1997.

I applied for a car loan and the loan officer was efficient in communicating with me. My loan was approved in 24 hours and once I went in to complete my paper, the loan officer was patient and explained everything thoroughly.

Stay away from this credit union. I just discovered that I have been charged late fees for 7 payments. Every payment that I've ever sent has been mailed well before the due date and the post marks would prove it. Unfortunately, I don't have the envelopes. I will be refinancing my car someplace else, and I will never do business with the Ohio Educational Credit Union again. They are a dishonest business. Take my advice, don't obtain an auto loan here. Very disappointing. Read through the reviews from other people too. It appears that I'm not alone and they steal from several people by charging unwarranted late and overdraft fees.

    Response from the owner

Good afternoon. We are sorry to read that you had a negative experience. Please contact us directly, as soon as possible, to review the specifics on your account. OHecu provides a 10-day grace period beyond the due date before a late fess is assessed. This is done to provide members ample time to submit a payment and avoid a potential late fee. Moreover, OHecu provides multiple ways for members to make their payments, including a payment portal for same day payments that can be located at OHecu.com You can contact us directly at 216-621-6296 or [email protected]. Thank you.

I’m just going straight to the Better Business Bureau. This place is a joke even Toyota dealership Agreed. Shame this day and age treat customers that way. Somebody needs to figure this out guess I don’t care. Horrible with her customers. And horrible if you need to deal with them to sell something. Good luck getting payoff or titles

    Response from the owner

Good afternoon Jeffrey, we’re sorry that there was an issue in providing you with the information you requested. You contacted us outside of our normal business hours and spoke to a member of our after-hours Call Center. The specific information you were requesting is available during normal business hours. We have banked with them for 5 yrs and will be switching very soon, I've always used credit unions this is run no differently than the big banks fee for this fee for that then tell you some BS why you received 4 over draft fees when there shouldn't have been ANY! And the 24hr 800 number is utterly pointless bc all they ever say is to call during normal hours to speak to someone at the branch. I feel at this point we would be better off stashing cash in a mattress!

I have no idea how this particular branch got a five star rating. I avoid going in here at all costs. Branch teller on two different occasions was extremely rude. I hate to walk into a place and can't even get a hello or how are you. teller seemed annoyed as if I was bothering her. Not once but twice.
