I first found myself at the Carle Place store with Stacy. She informed me that her location doesnt do consignments. She then appraised my stuff and sent me to Floral Pk. I dealt w Greg @ that location. I couldnt be more pleased with my experience!! Honest & fair employees made my angst disappear completely. I left both locations feeling grateful that i chose The Gold Standard to do business with. I'll recommend/refer this outfit to everyone that might ask me. I thank you two fully!

Great place to go to sell gold & silver jewelry or coins. The buyer for Gold Standard is very nice & an expert in this business. I have every confidence in him & Im satisfied with the money I get for the sold items. I would recommend this place to friends. 12/26/19 Was at Gold Standard few wks ago & came back today. My review is same as last time, see above. I receive great service by a very nice broker & have confidence in his assessment of my goods & am satisfied with what I receive.

Terrific atmosphere. It was a very dignified selling experience. You're not standing at a bullet proof window feeling like a beggar. Both Edgar and the boss man Scott took their time to look at your jewelry and give the reasons both good and bad how they determined the value of each piece. I would highly recommend them. And they have candy.

Guy was nice at first but I was starting to feel forced into selling my bracelet. He was making calls & it took a long time. When I said forget it, he became annoyed & was cursing very profanely under his breath. In fact, I felt so bad I, the customer, ended up apologizing to him. I would not return here. They make me nervous. Plus, I got an extra $100 somewhere else. As for all the rave reviews above, it could just have been written by the company itself.
Dear NYCer, That is a very uncommon story. Please email us the the day and time that you were at our store (which we are assuming was the Floral Park location, right?). Very friendly and honest, a bit conservative on the loan for my US silver coins, in my opinion, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'll be doing future business with this establishment

The problem here is use to be. This use to be a great place to sell gold. Now it's garbage all because they have some new guy who jist basicly wants to steal from you. His evaluation for my two rings was $240 the next place I went I was offered $520. This isn't a little different. When I said no thanks he goes let me call my boss. WTF? You buy gold for scrap and there is a set price for scrap gold so weigh it and tell me it's value Thief!! I don't THINK the company knows this or maybe they do. He even looks dishonest. AVOID THIS STORE. He also pops up at the Westbury location.
