TD Bank 5th Ave, Brooklyn

This is my local bank, they are always personable, friendly, professional. This is where you should go for all your banking needs. They are the leaders in customer service. The best bank in Park Slope.

I had a home equity loan that I wanted to change which turned out to be problematic. The banker worked, cheerfully, for a very long time with a Loan support officer to figure out what to do to help me. In the end, my problem was solved without any additional paperwork, fees or problems. They saved me ALOT of money, time and stress. I am very pleased!

Employees are useless - this branch's fancy new ATM malfunctioned and ate my ATM card. The two employees at the desk couldn't do anything to help or even pretend to care. As I was standing outside calling my bank I watched as they continued to chat with each other and didn't even bother to put up a sign that the ATM was out of order.

This bank has always been in a great location but the tellers are very snippy and made me feel unwelcome. Their customer service Needs work it’s my first time ever feeling uncomfortable at a branch.

Slowest bank ever.. Manager/Supervisor walk around with a tablet to do deposits only. If you have a line of 9 people waiting why not get a cash bank and help. This is ridiculous. Waited in line for 45mins. After 45 mins the manager got a bank and called for next in line..

Convenient banking?? It used to be better than other banks and more convenient by not lately. For example, this branch has a parking lot and for that convenience, I decided to drive to the bank but the lot is full (more cars than people working at the bank and the one customer there). The business next door (La Villa Pizzeria) has their delivery guy parked in TD banks lot as I saw him sitting in his car and after 20 minutes he went to get an order to deliver and went back to his car. Obviously people are using the lot and aren’t TD customers. As I waited 20 minutes for a spot, another customer came out of bank and complained about all the non customers using the spots and the bank doing nothing about it. My complaint to the teller and other employee seem to go nowhere as they didn’t seem to care. The security guard sat there doing nothing about the parking lot situation but rudely stared at me, close by, as I waited online and was talking about confidential information 🙄

One of the friendliest TD Bank staffs I have come across are from this branch. The one I particularly dealt with was named Jessica. Maybe ask for her if you are visiting there to open an account. Even me being a visitor to USA, she was super friendly and super helpful and opened my account in no time. Top service.

This branch office of TD Bank has some pros and cons. Pros are like all TD Banks, convenient hours and friendly staff but for this branch, they give away free TD stuff to customers who wait in a long line for banking. Cons are ATM machine is somewhat behind the time. It's slow and not up to current technology of other banks ATM machines including other TD Banks with updated ATM machine. When there are customers lined up, they don't add tellers to accommodate faster service. If you go there and there isn't much customers, you get fast and friendly services without free give away. But if you go there during busier times, you get to meet some interesting fellow customers who wait in the line with you.

The only reason I use TD bank is because of the parking lot. Staff are nice but every branch is poorly managed. There's often 3-4 people behind the counter, but only one person actually helping customers even with long lines, and to make it worse, they require the tellers to answer the phone. How they get to claim the JD Powers Customer Service award each year is kind of mind numbing, since customer service is clearly not a priority. Also, why isn't there a business line like every other bank?

It's a bank but a friendly bank. This is NYC -- a hamlet teeming with people. It's amazing that people will wait a god awful amount of time to get a frigging coffee but get impatient at a bank. I use the ATMs to transact business if I am in a rush. TD Banks are open 7 days (other banks in my neighborhood followed suit). I have recommended clients and friends to TD Bank to avoid the hassles and politics with huge banks.
