SBSU is the best! Local bank with the personal touch. I've had several issues with fraud & stolen identity & SBSU was always there for me. I highly recommend SBSU, great bank with great people.

Unfortunately, I chose to bank with them. They are much much too small for any service requiring bank information to work. The services that I have had an issue with or could not get to work are: Apple Pay, Wirecard, PayPal, Venmo, Ebay, and many others. In addition to these huge inconveniences, this Bank took 7 months to process our credit card. I had to call multiple times for them to start the process over again. Their online banking, including their mobile app and website is sluggish, unrefined, and VERY difficult to use. I desperately wish I would not have banked with them in the first place.

I applied for an SBS loan at SBSU and was approved very quickly. The interest rates were MUCH better than other lenders had quoted me while exploring my lending options and the terms were more flexible. Teresa was very kind and helpful throughout the lending process and had me ready to purchase within a matter of a few days. I also liked that it wasn't overly complicated and required minimal documentation from me. I will definitely do business with SBSU in the future.

Been banking here for almost 3 years now and I really love it. They saved me twice in the past few months. One with a loan for my company, and the other, someone online or somewhere stole my card number and was using it from some different location. They shut the card down. I went in and they got me a new card and settled all the disputed things on the debit card.

I am an employee as well as a customer at SBSU and I have had a five-star experience in both areas! The people are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is professional, and they’ve been able to help me with every request/problem that I’ve come to them with. I really appreciate that when I call I can talk to a person at the branch I’m trying to reach rather than just some corporate customer service employee. You won’t regret banking here!

Finest bank I've ever dealt with. Unlike one of the one star reviews, I travel to and live in places outside of Utah and have never been stranded via SBSU. I currently live in Kansas. Also, I've never worked for this bank, but I do know the vice president over mortgages. He is fine individual that has shown himself as a consistently honest and compassionate individual. All the tellers that I have dealt with have been both cheerful and helpful to me and all issues that I have encountered have been both competently and completely solved via phone and the internet. This bank sure beats the pants off of Chase and Wells Fargo, not to mention local competitors that I have dealt with.

I’ve used state bank for over 20 years and my expectations are met every single time. They’re honest, helpful, trustworthy and super fair. I know my money is in good hands!

These other reviewers must be employees. WARNING do not go to State Bank for a construction or mortgage loan!!!!! We sold our house, bought land and moved into a camper trailer with a newborn and two other kids. We went to state bank for a construction loan with 38K into the project and anther 16K for closing costs. My husband also has a 750 excellent credit score. We were told by two loan officers that it all looked good and we would be approved, with cash left in our pockets for other expenses. Well after three weeks of living in the camper the loan committee finally met about our loan. They came back and said that they would fund us if we put 50K into the project, a 20K contingency fee, and 7k closing costs. That is nearly 80,000!!!! on a $200,000 loan!!! with excellent credit! DONT FALL FOR THEIR LIES, GO TO ANOTHER BANK RIGHT OFF THE BAT! We are now stuck in a trailer and the snow will fall soon because we believed that we were pre-approved and had what we needed for a month straight.
