Speedy cash and the manager Jennifer are awesome. I will explain why with a lengthy but enlightening anecdote... I work for a rideshare company which shall remain nameless...but there’s like two so flip a coin. I was renting a car from their partner company who shall remain nameless...but there’s like four so flip two coins. Everything was going fine until someone from my company deleted my vehicle from the rental car company’s inventory, rendering it useless to use for my job. No one knew how to fix it because no one had ever seen that happen before so after a weeks worth of angry phone calls that accomplished nothing I was out of money, out of time, the rental car’s contract ran out, I was out of my mind... The only thing that was not out? I could not get out of paying for the rental car. That I couldn’t use. So I decide to just bail on that car and get a loan to rent another car from a different rental partner company. Seemed easy enough. Wasn’t. The first title loan company I went to told me that they won’t lend me money because I don’t have a car to use for my job, despite the fact that I explained to them the money was earmarked for the sole purpose of getting a car to do my job. They told me if I ever get a car and start working to come back and they’d give me a loan despite the fact that the only reason I needed a loan was for the car I need to work. Cool, makes total sense I thought. Not what they said, of course. What they said made no sense— the exact opposite actually. What made sense was that they were screwing me over too. Was sort of a theme by now. Walked out of that place wondering if everyone has been forbidden from using any common sense whatsoever and I just somehow missed that memo. Went to title loan place #2 to have my theory that common sense must surely have been banned confirmed when they told me they couldn’t help me because my internal credit history was too short. My internal credit history. With them. I mean they’re right. It was pretty short since it consisted only of walking in half an hour prior. I guess I should have unplugged the computer halfway through the application, or set something on fire when they weren’t looking. You know. Slow them down a little. Really prove I’ve had a long credit history with them...like so far today. Walked out of that place proud of myself for not flipping any tables. Finally went to speedy cash and wished I went there first. I was helped by the manager Jennifer who really went above and beyond my expectations. Granted, it would have been above my expectations if she simply refrained from saying anything that made me question my faith in humanity. But she took probably less than half the time I spent at either one of the other two truly horrible god awful places, and was able to get me approved for more than I needed and out the door and all without telling me something like, “well, we want to lend you the money...but we’re just worried about like...” Okay I was going to put something really stupid sounding there at the end to emphasize how stupid the other two places’ reasons were, but I just can’t seem to out-stupid them. But you know what? Forget about them. This isn’t about them! This was never about them...this is about Jennifer and how she’s awesome and how you should go to her first if you actually want to go to a place that does what the sign on the building says it does. Don’t waste your time elsewhere. I’ve already spent more time writing this review in the parking lot (because I promised Jennifer I would) than I spent getting a loan here. Thanks to Jennifer, I can now afford to go make money. It didn’t have to be this hard. Speedy cash showed me that.
