My boyfriend and I were looking for an engagement ring. We walked in not having the slightest knowledge about diamonds. Alex spent two hours with us teaching us everything we could possibly need to know. We picked out an engagement ring and based on the ring certificate and what we learned, we knew we (my bf) were purchasing top quality! We would 100% do business with Alex again. Alex at Shnayder Jewelry as an absolute professional. He took the time with my husband while he was looking at engagement rings last year, he promptly fixed my ring when one of the prongs were loose (there hasn't been a problem since), and when I came to him to fit my wedding band properly he listened and delivered everything I wanted. Went in today for the first time. Store was pretty small, mostly jewelry at this location. The biggest problem I found with the store was the outrageous prices on everything. I usually go to pawn shops and expect to get things at a better price. What I will recommend is: if you go to this location and there is no price tag on it.... Look up the product on your phone before you purchase anything. I happened to find a staple gun and being in a hurry I didn't look up the item before purchasing. The guy said he wanted $40 got the staple gun (I thought was a bit pricey) but I purchase it and leave and Later look it up... Brand new at Walmart for $17. This was a dumb decision on my behalf but overall as a store the place is very overpriced and selection is small. I would not recommend.

Went in to get a men’s ring restored, while I was in there I stumbled upon a vintage Omega diamond watch. Alex was quick to strike and amazing deal for the watch and a gold chain. The shop has great quality jewelry and very aggressive prices. Alex was very knowledgeable about the product he sold me, jewelry restoration etc. I immediately recommended them to some co-workers which also had great experiences. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back for my jewelry needs.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Alex. I stopped in with a very, very large box of various kinds of jewelry - some gold, some silver, some just old and yes, just junk. Alex took over 2 hours of his time and looked through every piece I brought in. He was willing to point out items that may be worth something but that he was not in the market for to save me having to find yet another person to help evaluate my things. He was willing to answer all my questions and educate me on the finer points of jewelry appraisal. I also had a chance to look at the custom design jewelry they make at the shop, and it was amazing! I found Alex to be extremely trustworthy and above board. I have now been to Shnayder Jewelry several times. Alex has helped me out tremendously. I was looking for an independent jeweler for a custom, or different, kind of engagement ring. I ended up with a custom, made in-house, ring that is gorgeous and was generously affordable, unlike the mall or giant stores that have to cover extreme rents. The diamonds are very clear white and very "sparkly" (according to the fiance. As someone with a Geology degree, I have a high regard for the Shnayder products. They are very careful about their selections and very helpful and personable with helping undecided grooms-to-be with figuring out what to get. I recently returned to purchase wedding bands and the help was very gracious. Thank you Alex, again. I'd also like to point out that, while it is a "pawn" shop, it is very nice inside; not cluttered or over-filled. Their primary mission is jewelry. I have had a few different pieces made by Joseph. He is a fantastic Jeweler and designer. My new Ring is my latest purchase with his Nephew Alex. It’s a Alexandrite Stone. Alex helped design the ring for my Anniversary. It’s absolutely beautiful. I definitely would highly recommend them. Alex has helped on previous purchases I have made. He is very patient.

I went to this place with roughly a pound of silver spoons/forks with sterling labeled on all of them and the owner tried to say he didn’t know the silver content. Sterling means it’s at least 92.5% silver which any decent pawn shop owner would know so he offered me $5 per ounce. What a joke. Don’t waste your time with this clown!

I brought in a large box of jewelry from my mom's estate and Alex sorted through it all very quickly separating 14k and 10k gold from costume jewelry. He gave me a fair price and was a pleasure to do business with.

Before buying an engagement ring I did research, visited multiple jewelers at businesses both boxy large and boutique small, read lots of on-line reviews, and decided to travel 45 minutes to meet Alex. We discussed my goal, effort, and expectations regarding such an expensive purchase. I believe he was sincere in being helpful, offering prudent advice, and great suggestions. I hoped that at some point I'd see him interact with customers, and I did. He asked if I minded the interruptions, and I didn't object. Alex has a friendly, fair, and forthright approach. Two ladies sold gold bracelets and seemed very happy in the end. A gentleman picked up some jewelry repairs and said, "Wow! You even took the dent out of the gold chain. I didn't think that was possible." And, a young man sold a bass speaker at an agreed price. In the end, I purchased a stunning ring from Alex. It was a radiant hearts and arrows diamond in an elegant platinum setting. Besides its beauty and unbeatable price, it more importantly led to a "Yes!". My fiancé knows her jewelry and she was impressed. We returned to get the ring properly fitted and once again Alex's expert advice and professionalism shined through. I bought my wedding rings here. Excellent service. The owner has wealth of knowledge and is a good communicator. We negotiated a fair price and the service was prompt. He cut and cleaned the rings right away for free. For resizing my wife's ring he did not cut off part of the gold and keep it but pressed the ring in such a way that I kept all the gold. He asked me precise questions in order provide me with the perfect ring to match my wife's engagement ring. Overall it was a wonderful experience and My wife and I will enjoy our rings for the rest of our lives.
