Rita Atencio was so helpful in helping us getting our current business accounts setup correctly from them being set up incorrectly and also helped to open new accounts. This was not an easy task at no fault of hers, but she worked efficiently in making sure that the problems got resolved and everything is now fixed and ready to go. She is very professional and helpful!

Rita Atencio, performed great customer service via telephone. She helped me identify and understand the possible loan options to suit my financial needs. Although We weren't able to establish the right loan option, her customer service was excellent. As a former banker, good old fashioned customer service has always been a trait that we all desire from our customer service reps. Its these interactions that open opportunities for lasting relationships.

Today, I had the pleasure of working with Ms. R. Atencio who helped me refinance an existing loan. It’s important to note that I separate my reviews of customer service from the result as I don’t believe it’s fair to pass judgement (favorable or not) on an individual based on a decision that is typically out of their control. That said, my review is regarding my experience with Rita and the service she provided and nothing more. Before she understood the particulars of my call, Rita noticed a late fee assessed on one of my loans that I had not anticipated and was unaware of. After a few more questions, she said she would take a closer look into this and reverse if she could. I thought it was cool (not to mention unusual) that she actually took interest in the welfare of my account(s) and I hadn’t even asked for anything yet! Rita was diligent in learning as much as she could regarding my situation and what I was attempting to accomplish (lower monthly payments). After a short wait from the loan officers and a pleasant/thoughtful conversation, she informed me that I had been approved. I was satisfied with the result, but could tell by her offer to speak with the loan officers, that she was willing to do more to go to bat for me... and that she did. Rita helped me shave a significant amount off my monthly payment and also had that late fee reversed (an added bonus)! All in all, she could have taken my call today and had everything over and done within 10-15 minutes. Instead, she delayed her lunch time to make the extra effort on my behalf and purely for my benefit. In today’s climate, I sure wish we had more people like Rita Atencio in the world. All our problems might not go away, but there’s no doubt in my mind that it’d be a better place.

The 5 stars are for Rita Atencio in Colorado, not Security Service. I couldn't have been happier with her service, unfortunate that I live in Texas and they weren't able to help me here in our local branches but very thankful that i got Rita to help me. I am a Presidents club member and have been a member of SSFCU for over 44 years. I received a flyer for an extra percentage for presidents club members the beginning of February on opening a CD. Went into a branch here in San Antonio, they talked me out of opening a CD and opening a Money Market account instead but the person I needed to talk to was out that day and would be in tomorrow. Well that person did follow up with me and sent me information, but it was a bit overwhelming and that was the end of our contact. Called today and spoke with Rita, opened a 30 month CD and was very happy! Very pleasant and patient. Thank you Rita for all your help, the people in the Texas branches need to take customer service lessons from you!!
