    I went into the branch to set up some additional accounts and worked with Crystal Campbell. She was simply amazing and a wealth of knowledge. She was personable and made the experience very pleasant. She went above and beyond to provide us with info on other services as well. Really appreciate her customer service.

    I wasn’t going to leave a review, but after reading a few and seeing I wasn’t the only one getting bad service I’ve decided to leave one. They make you go through the process of filling out and submitting a bunch of documents before they even give you an estimated value on your home equity loan. I advised them that I had refinanced in the past to lower my rate and access equity on my home. One week before closing they realized that in Texas you can’t have a home equity loan if you cashed out on your current loan. Huge waste of time. Either they’re understaffed or under trained, but it was a huge waste of my time and effort gathering documents. I had to open a savings account that I will have to close. Again more wasted time and effort. They offered me a different type of loan, but I’d have to go through the entire process again and it only allows payment to go directly to a contractor I hire. Who would feel comfortable doing all of that again if you fumbled the process at the very end? I’d only expect another mess up!

    my checking and savings accounts were compromised and I called you on Friday Feb. 4th for help with getting it taken care of. Since then my accounts and credit card were closed and new accounts reopened. However, as I have no access to my funds I asked that the debit card be Fed Ex'd to me and was assured on Monday Feb. 7th that this had been taken care of. When I didn't receive the card by Wednesday Feb 9th, I called again. I was then told that it was being taken care of and I could call this morning Feb 10th and they would have a tracking # for me. Well I called and it still hadn't been done, but I could check back this afternoon before 5PM and they SHOULD have taken care of it. I have talked to at least 10 different people since this all started and have yet to be able to access my funds. I've tried to express the urgency of the situation but no one seem to either get it or care. I have been with your bank for over 10 years with all my accounts along with my mortgage and I expected better. I know that I am not the only account but still expected you to handle this a lot quicker than you have. I am getting emails from businesses that receive automatic payments each month and they will be cancelled if I can't update my payment info.

    In the end Security Federal came through. Thanks mostly to Azalia and Scott Cooper. Also Ruby. Good people. Azalia really followed through even though initially this wasn't her job. My IRA CD trustee to trustee transfer was handled poorly. I was frustrated, unhappy, planning to never return and then the A Team helped. Thank you!

    Process to apply/request an HELOC was horrendous. Nobody kept me in the loop. Had to wait for snail mail to get updates which were 7-10 days delayed. They didn’t correctly process the application to begin with, and Inhad to track down somebody myself to get updates. Never coming back here for Loans/ Lines of Credit. SMH

    Branches in Utah and Colorado a big huge plus. I know of no other credit union with Branches in both Colorado and Utah. There Branches in Utah County are in the very best excellent location's. Their Pleasant Grove branch next to a major grocery store. Their Provo branch near the big mall. I will be a member for life with Branches in both Colorado and Utah. World Mastercard is an excellent credit card. Everyone that accepts credit cards has always accepted my Mastercard. World Mastercard and Security Service with Branches in multi States a winning combination. Member for life.

    Security Service has hit the toilet in terms of customer service. Even the "Presidents Club" is a joke now. When you call, you're met with inexperienced or clueless staff, or you're put on hold and someone might get to you. I was called 3 times over a credit card application (during the middle of the business day), and each time I called back it was a pain getting bounced from 2 to 3 people depending on if you got someone who knew what they were talking about. Notice I said each time! It took 4 calls to get a very simple issue resolved. Gone are the days of loyalty and decent customer service to a long term (over 20 year) member.

    Love this Credit Union! I do not use anyone else! At my local branch I am always greeted by name and am well taken care of. Just closed on my first home and it could not have been a better experience. From the GM at my local branch, the loan advisor, the loan processor and our insurance manger, all were very professional and helped with the many, many questions I had throughout the process. I never felt I was inconveniencing them. I will ALWAYS go with SSFCU for any and all loans!! Thank you for helping us become first time homeowners..

    Very easy to open an account, just wish the employee was a little more excited. I tried to hint that I was interested in their car insurance and she just let me know they started it a year and a half ago, didn’t bother to try and give me rates, or talk about mortgage opportunities after I told her I was interested in getting a mortgage through them. But in all the process to open a checking and savings account was quick. Maybe she just wasn’t having a good day.

    I absolutely love my credit union! And the people that help me. I have worked with A.J Hyde now a couple of times. She is amazing!!! And the staff at this branch is not just courteous but they are so consistent on being urgent and quick with all of their client's at all times no matter how busy they are! I don't live near my credit union, but I won't go anywhere else because of the customer service and support I receive at all times! Always a 5⭐ experience!!! I live in Utah BTW!!

    Sarah was absolutely great. She listened to what I described as my needs, and she took the appropriate actions. I walked out of there with an appointment so see Fred Garza (investment advisor), who also turned out to be great help.     The loan process was slow at first. Then I realized emailing was the best communication. Rob Villa was quick to answer my questions. He let me know exactly what I needed and I sent every document through email. Had some hiccups but they were quickly resolved through email. Great experience and the loan was approved quickly.

    Both our loan officer, Malina Valadez, and our loan processor, Lissette Garcia, were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were attentive to all our needs and concerns.     If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The Toyota of Boerne salesperson who helped me set up my last car loan highly recommended this bank. Huge mistake! This place goes out of their way to make payments difficult to make. They push their online payment system that will not let you pay with payments from any bank but theirs, unless you want to give them full access to your other accounts. Idiotic. Then paying off a loan is a complete nightmare as well. I will NEVER use this company again and I will never recommend it to anyone. Save yourself a lot of headaches and go elsewhere.

    We have been banking with SSFCU since the 1990's. They have been an outstanding financial institution for us!! The Consumer loan department went well above and beyond to get us our loan quickly! All businesses have suffered as a result of the Covid. SSFCU is still making things happen even with a short staff!! Cut them a break people!!! We would highly recommend SSFCU for any financial needs!

    My mom called and spoke with Allan in the Mortgage department. She made it clear at the beginning of the conversation that she was NOT going to apply for a home loan but simply inquiring about the process for buying a house as she is currently renting. Allan was abrasive and rude during the conversation and was not at all helpful. Even though my mom has excellent credit, she was being treated as though that did not matter. Allan told her that regardless of credit score, on a house estimated at $98k, she would have to still put $20k down. Allan seemed to be in a hurry to get my mom off of the line by quickly asking if there was anything else she needed. My mom felt very disappointed with this SSFCU mortgage employee. She has been an SSFCU member for so many years and this is UNACCEPTABLE. I am quite angry that this happened to my mother having a sub par interaction with this employee in the SSFCU Mortgage Department. Management and the supervisor of this particular employee needs to counsel him on how to treat customers. As a matter of fact, he should be sent to a training to improve his customer service skills because this is one employee that represents the SSFCU mortgage department.

    Extremely slow, unresponsive, disorganized, and increased my rate once I was under the housing contract. They tried to increase my closing date to 45 days away, which my realtor said he has never even heard of in Colorado. I entered a contract for a house based on the information they provided on my approved application. Once under contract on the house they increased my rate, which is "bait and switch." I have spent 6 hours holding on the phone today alone. No one responds, no one gets anything done, and even their own employees can't get a hold of other employees.

    I went on line and filled out the lot loan application. After three days of waiting I had to call in and ask what the deal was. They then told me my loan was too small for a lot loan. Would have been nice if they A. published their minimum loan size, B. Call or email you to let you know.

    I recently obtained a loan from Security Service. This is my second time obtaining a loan from them. The team at Security Service was great to work with. They had very competitive rates and products. They processed my loan very quickly. They were very thorough in answering my questions and very patient with me throughout the loan process. They were extremely flexible with the appointment for the signing. They even came out to my place of work which I greatly appreciated.

    Took over 4 months for a simple refinance. We could not get questions answered. We could not get calls or emails back. They took so long that they had to start the loan process over. Key information was not sent before closing. Closing docs were not complete at closing. Number for closing contact was the wrong one. I could go on and on. Good luck! Also note that if you start your process online, you are stuck with the online team. I completely believe this experience would have been completely different if I would have walked into my local branch. I thought it would transfer to my local branch. It did not.

    I wanted to transfer my banking to a local credit union. I tried to open a credit card with my having an "excellent" credit score. After numerous attempts and being told I needed to sign the application with incorrect mortgage data, I gave up. I'm sticking with the credit union with offices 2000 miles away.

But when I went to refi my house due to the divorce, the team was able to help by looking at my past payment history and qouted me an excellent rate which I wasn't expecting.     This is a small branch, there were 3 tellers working the windows. All busy with clients. I was third in line to be helped. A customer service person was in background working other business. When I said I wanted to open account she immediately said she would be right with me. She was very quick, polite, explained account to me. Had my deposit, checks and laminated account cards to me and transaction finished in a most polite and professional manner. I look forward to doing business with your other services in the future.

    I've been financing loans through this credit union for 8 years and was not a bit disappointed with the recent refinancing of my home. Daniel Boney was thorough and responsive. The process to refinance went smoothly, and the closing costs were significantly less than the other lenders I looked into. I would recommend this credit union to anyone financing any loan.
