Would highly recommend avoiding this bank. Checks take an extremely long time to become available (im talking weeks), the cards tend to not work when going to an ATM that isn't SMCU and the app and website are below par

Worst banking experience I have ever had. I'm continually charged for major insurance expenses on two car loans I have, yet I have full insurance coverage on both cars. The customer support makes promises, but I keep having to call. I've lived here for 41-years, and I'll stick with a big bank in the future.

Very friendly and nice people. Easy to open the bank account. They helped me to open account even if I didn't have SSN. Very friendly (Helen Drazich) Branch manager. Directed correctly and explained about different type of free checking and saving account. Immediate debit card was provided. 100% customer satisfaction. I am thankful for your service and support :)

their mobile online banking sucks I've been waiting since almost four business days and my check still hasn't cleared to my credit card, so I'm stuck with no money, until the bank gets their stuff together to update send the confirmation to my credit card bank. THEY LAG SO BAD.

I would like to say that the customer service here is top notch. I’ve never actually experience customer service at a bank where I was address by my last name and resolving my issue was their goal. Helen D is a saint, she resolve all my issues and she even followed up with me later in the day to make sure that my problems were resolved. I will be a customer here indefinitely and I highly recommend this credit union

WORST BANK EVER Lost $891, wire transfer. San Mateo Credit Union's fault 100% Treated me and foreigners like 2nd class citizens, like animals. No companies work with them Advise you to run away if ever nearby or thinking of banking with this (govt. should look into taking away their operating liscense) last place, horrible bank. Amazing bank ! I love that there new ATMs let you pay your loan! The only downside is that it doesn’t give you the remaining balance but it’s not to hard to wait in line if you need to talk to one of the workers to find out your remaining balance

I am so appreciative that they always have helped with 2 car loans and my kids savings accounts. Very friendly and helpful, keep up the good service!
