    Rushmore Loan Management Reviews

I inherited my parents' house which had an outstanding mortgage. Before I was able to wrap things up with the mortgage company, the loan transferred to Rushmore and I had to start over at square 1. It has been more than 2 months now of trying to work with them. Every time I call, I get told something slightly different. The first fax number where I was told to send the succession documents turned out to be defunct. Since then it's been, "you're not authorized on the account" so they refuse to speak to me about it, even to tell me if they've received the documents! I finally got a rep who was kind enough to let me know it did show the docs were there and still being processed by their legal department. A process which is taking much longer than I was told to expect. In the mean time, I've not been allowed to make a payment and they will not freeze the loan. So I'm getting several notices a week (in my parents' names) about the loan being in default and now saying they're going to start foreclosure proceedings if it's not paid up to date by the end of this month. So not only have I lost both of my parents, I'm about to lose their house too, even though I am more than able and willing to pay the outstanding balance. I could not be more displeased with their "service." This company is a nightmare.

Terrible mortgage company. I would personally not recommend this company to anyone. Was making payments on my mortgage bi-weekly and they stated I was 3 months behind on my mortgage. We were about to go into foreclosure. They never called never nothing. The issue was resolved but I did not appreciate almost losing my home bc of their mistake. Skip foward....Refinanced our mortgage to get away from this company and they sent the wrong payoff amount. They didn't want to except the payoff check nor write off the short difference. That was on their clerical error. All I can say is Stir clear of this company. If you can. No American to speak too either everyone is a foreigner. Hard to understand them. Just a all around terrible experience. Thank goodness we are done with them!

This is by far the shadiest servicer since Bank of America and the mortgage crisis of 2008 They receive government funding but have no intention of helping home owners get home retention plans resolved. Regardless of the effects of Covid-19 On the entire country. They bought along with an investor acquired 1000s of Fannie Mae loans that had active forbearance plans in place due to the American Relief Act the loans were actually federally backed So that home owners had federal laws protecting them from default and foreclosure During our 11month of forbearance Fannie Mae sold our home to This horrible company who offers those shady payday loans as well. This in turn gave them the advantage of stealing thousands of properties at low cost Due to be able to buy back properties when they have considerable equity. Our home is appraised at 248,000 We only owe 81,000. They managed while we were in a active forbearance to default our loan even though a letter stated that they could not due that I have proven time and time again that we weren’t In default because of the forbearance and they were suppose to give us four months to have a retention modification plan They gave us the run around since feb. And asked on the application for four items But when those were provided they came up with more items needed and would the close the file with proof they recieved the forms. During my active modification They were considering it they actually started a foreclosure they sent a letter on the 15th of June and our home will be sold at auction on July 5th Due to them declaring we defaulted in feb. Needless to say I have made many complaints Filed with the Texas mortgage and lending Who absolutely did not help at all. The attorney general is looking into this due to my complaint. It’s a horrible company who will benefit off the pain of others It’s not over it’s just starting The whole country housing market will skyrocket and home owners will lose their investments due to a pandemic created ripely for these crooks to steal your homes And they won’t even bat an eye. Get out from this company and file complaints they need to be shutdown Fannie Mae needs to be investigated for the wrongful information. They gave to enter into forbearance they had no intention of honoring the retention part of the American relief act. Meanwhile all these executives and owners of these companies are lining their pockets with money.

2 stars because every 4th or 5th time the person on the other end is friendly, helpful, informative. Too often customer service and the paperwork conflict and no one understands why or will say an automated response was incorrect or mailed after a matter was settled. Important changes like successor in interest or insurance issues take months of repeated paperwork submissions and phone calls. Threats of foreclosure come before any warning. No review matters because no one has a choice of mortgage servicer.

I cannot believe that we have been trying to receive a check from these people for over a month now from our insurance company and they delayed approving it; delayed sending it out, and finally they did standard USPS mail and cant provide a tracking number and its been over two weeks now since they sent it out. That makes no sense why its taking so long and they never have an answer for their delays and mistakes. They just choose to have their customers suffer and offer zero help.

Their online system is horrible and they will blame you for their issues. I Tried autopay twice, once with the help from a rep to make sure it was setup correctly. My payment received an error, again. They immediately locked my account and required I pay by certified funds. This company bought my loan and I had no idea they would be so bad and provided horrible customer. Stay away if you can.

Today was one of the best days in a long time. Chris provided not an excellent service but a word we haven’t come up with in the Webster dictionary. I left that call fully satisfied with his intelligent knowledge on how the process works and provided additional information needed. I have worked with many reps here but he is by far the best ever. I hope I get to speak with him again. He should be a model on how customers service looks like. He should be the poster person for customer service along with being moved into training new hires at this establishment. Thank you again Chris!!!

Our home loan has been through Rushmore for the last year. We really haven’t had any issues until now. We are about to sell and requested our pay off statement be emailed to us. It’s been two weeks and we’ve been on the phone with them 3 different times requesting it. We are really needing the statement and just can’t seem to get anyone to send it to us.

Absolutely terrible company, worst I have ever experienced and I am a loan officer myself. They are definitely doing some type of fraud. Have been charging me a late fee for years and I have proven and shown statements of proof of pay. Seems like the CFPB needs to be contacted.

Zero stars for this mortgage company!! My home insurance policy was cancelled because Rushmore failed to submit payment accurately!!! I have been speaking with their representatives for the past 4 days now and everyone I speak to provides different information!!! I don't know why my loan was transferred to these people in the first place! Even their website is a ridiculous, unhelpful tool!!

As a former employee, I would have to agree with the one star reviews by customers. They say that they care about the customers but they don’t. For example, when a customer asks for a supervisor and I try to find one, I am told that a supervisor is either not available or get a senior rep to return the call. As one of the top producers, I was treated like just a number. If you or a customer has a hardship, they will find a way to get rid of you or service release your loan.Warning: if your loan gets transferred to Rushmore, please please please get a refinance to another mortgage company.

Greatful that we have a loan company that has helped us with repayments due to covid circumstances. They are a blessing.
