Today my husband and I had a great experience with Rockland Hyundai. I was looking to trade my car and get a new SUV. The customer service was amazing, the sales rep VICTOR he is just beyond amazing. This is how you should buy and get a car. The experience, the customer service, he answered all my questions and I don’t have enough words to say about my GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! A wonderful experience!!! My mom just got a new Tuscon here and the staff was beyond nice and helpful. We specifically dealt with John Simmons, Scott Corbett and Jennifer Emmett and all of them were incredibly helpful with guiding us through the process. Everything was made very easy to understand, and the process was very quick and painless. My mom just said this was the easiest transaction she’s ever made. I would recommend this Hyundai location to absolutely anybody looking for a new car!

Victor was my sales associate for the lease of my new Santa Fe. Coming from a GMC dealer I was less than satisfied with, I didn’t have high hopes on a positive experience anywhere. Victor greeted me with a smile and an open mind on what I needed. There wasn’t a question I had that he couldn’t and didn’t answer. Top of the line salesman to say the least. Worse experience I ever had. Communication is really bad. I came here because there was a car available only to tell me they had just sold it when I arrived. They wrapped me around with promises that the car would arrive in 2 weeks. I called them a couple of days prior to the arrival date to make sure the car was on time and on track, They confirmed that everything looked good. Well, I arranged to terminate my lease with my other company only for Rockland Hyundai to call me that same day that the car wasn't arriving after all and that I would have to wait another 2 weeks, a month now since the time I sat with them to negotiate. I asked if they could compensate with anything to help me to get to work since now I didn't have a car. They offered 0 help and told me there was nothing they could for me. Don't waste your time here. They don't honor anything they say online or in person.

After having a poor experience at other Hyundai dealerships, I was lucky to have a much better experience at Rockland. John Simmons and Fausto Gonzalez were great to work with and were upfront about everything which I appreciated. I ended up getting a great deal from them and plan on going back when my current lease is up. If you go here, I recommend asking to work with John.

Rockland Hyundai sucks and I believe they over charge women compared to men. I was charged almost 700 dollars and all they did was resurface my rotors and for that price I should have received new brakes. This was in February. I recently received an inspection and was just told my brakes were low! Don’t GO here for service they will rip you off big time. If I could give zero stars I would. I hate them. The owner tells me I refused brake service which is a lie. I never refused anything pertaining to my brakes. I have my services in writing of WHAT YOUR STAFF DID TO MY VEHICLE. So you may want to check that again. I will not be returning to this location.

Terrible customer service! They had my car for over a week with no communication from their end. I had to reach out to them for an update every time. I was told my car would be ready by the weekend, and when I received a text saying my car was ready, I had to ask around for a ride. I finally secured a ride to drive me 35 minutes to get there for them to tell me that it’s actually not ready, and I have to go to another location that’s over 30 minutes away to pick up the car! Leaving me with no other option but to pick it up on Monday or try and convince my ride to drive me somewhere else. What kind of service are you guys running? Very unorganized! So disappointing and very frustrating. I am so done going to Hyundai dealerships. I always walk away feeling dissatisfied. Also, another thing worth mentioning is that one of the associates mocked the way I spoke, which also was not a great addition to my experience. The icing on the cake!

I had a great experience. I made an appointment and met with Luis Tejada (LT). He was great and did not try to oversell me what I did not need. I had my eye on one vehicle but he showed me the 2022 Tuscon and that was it. All of this took 20 minutes YES 20 minutes. The facility was nice and clean and still practicing social distancing for those of you who are concerned. LT is a very knowledgeable young man who keeps you at ease. I recommend that anyone looking for a used or new car make an appointment to see LT.

Date: 05/21/2022 I had a very unpleasant experience today, First of all, I was told that the internet price is not a cash price but a finance price which is entirely conflicting with what I was initially told. Second dealer fees over the phone were entirely different(Almost double) than what wan mentioned in person. I have the email as a proof. Can forward if required. Date: 05/23/2022 Salesperson called and inform that price can be taken as cash instead of finance.

When I first arrived the sales representative was friendly. When I wanted to negotiate a fair price , he began to become aggressive. He told me “I sold a lot of cars today already”. He showed me that I was getting a good deal on the car, but did not tell us how much fees we had to pay and ignored the budget that me and my partner wanted. We paid 2000-3000 in fees plus the warranty. We left paying almost 10,000 extra and felt cheated with a high interest rate. We didn't know anything about the fees until we were ready to pay for the car. We felt ripped off and regretted the whole transaction. When we went back to the dealer to talk about all of the fees, the only thing the sales rep could say is at least you have a nice car. Overall do not trust the price upfront and expect to pay for high fees. They will not negotiate prices either

I recently turned in my 2 1/2 yo Palisade Ltd which was one of the best vehicles I’ve ever had. Great value, safety etc. Javier and Fausto created a great deal where I traded in the 2020 for a 2022! In this crazy time they worked a deal that was so fair for both me and the dealership. Honest, transparent and made the deal so easy. Jessica also was very proficient in putting the deal on paper. I’ve sent other friends who were also delighted with their deals.

So happy with my experience. Everything was straight forward. Was expecting things to change once I got to the finance office. But everything was straight forward. No complaints. Love my car. Recently purchased a 2022 Ioniq Plug-in. Was immediately greeted by Victor when I entered and he handled the sale. He set up a test drive as well. He made sure the sale went thru smoothly and quickly. He was considerate, for instance, making sure I knew this was a plugin and if I had a place to charge. He went above and beyond in making sure the car was delivered to me since I did not have a 2nd driver to help get the car home. The financial lady was also very helpful and personable. Worst dealer experience ever. As soon as I paid for that car and left with it thats when the smiles end. Called about fixing something on warentee, was hung up on multiple times. Then I was told I would have to wait 3 weeks for a simple 1 hour repair, meanwhile my car was inoperable. These people are nothing but rude nasty money hungry sharks looking to sell a car then discard you like old trash. Please do not buy a car here for your sake. Corporate needs to come down here and fix this mess, customers deserve better. Edit since then i have been bqck to the dealer 3 times this year, car is a piece of junk, do yourself a favor and buy japanese or even american before you go hyundai

I Wouldnt Recommend This Dealer , The Prices they say upfront are different then the actual Contract . They claim to put a certain amount over MSRP but they end up putting more in top and when you ask them about it they claim they dont know. Very upset .

I could not wait to get home and write this review. I know there is a 1/500 (my guess) chance of buying a new car that is not as it should be, but when you are the one who owns the “one”, it is different. I had taken my car to 2 other Hyundai dealerships (because of where I was at the time of need), and I was tempted to go a different direction. This morning, I decided to go back to where my relationship with Hyundai began… Rockland. I called Joe, who listened, never interrupted and heard my plight. By the time I arrived, Steve in service heard and had the chief mechanic (sorry, I missed his name) waiting for me. He drove my car and where the other dealerships failed to help, this team was there waiting for me. Again, not every car is perfect, but most of them are. Joe introduced me to Javier who was kind, professional, and patient. They didn’t have to give me what they did for my car that was in need of great, GREAT repair, but they wanted me to stay, and I felt as though my safety, my experience mattered. Sadly, I didn’t get the name of the woman who helped me in finance, but the WHOLE team was wonderful, and I am so glad I did not give up on Hyundai because of a couple of mis-diagnoses. Thank you, Rockland!

They made sure I was taken care of and most importantly did not want me to leave in my old vehicle with no brakes 😂 They stayed extra late and made sure my situation with my insurance was taken care of. I love my new vehicle and they followed up to make sure I wasn’t having any issues and if I had any questions I can always reach out! They went up and beyond and can’t recommend them enough!

Went in not expecting to find what I needed, left with the exact car I wanted at a price I didn't think possible. You can tell they are hungry for business, they are super polite, very nice and actually spend the time to show you the cars that they have, unlike any other car dealer in Rockland county. The sales manager was also there and made the experience that much better. The only negative I'd have to say was the horrible smells from the manure supply Depot right next door. If you get past that, though, you'll be greeted to one of the best car buying experiences out there.

The best service I have ever experienced! Damien the sales person made sure to give us all the information we needed in order to get the Elantra Sport I wanted. Damien and his team stayed late on a holiday weekend in order to make sure we received the price offered for the sales event. I’m writing this to hopefully protect other car buyers and to save everyone time. This place is a total disaster. I can’t tell you how many issues I ran into when trying to purchase a car from them, but I will focus on the biggest issue at hand. The price listed on the cars is nowhere close to the actual prices because of their “dealership fees”. The fees range anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000. To be clear, this has nothing to do with taxes, registration and title fees, etc. I placed a $500 deposit on a car in order for them to hold the vehicle until I moved from Arizona. I wasn’t told about the dealership fee until I was at checkout. The approximate 10% markup resulted in me obviously dropping the purchase. I then had to fight for my $500 deposit back. So much time wasted. And these salesmen couldn’t be more shady. Please stay away from this dealership.

I went in to test drive a Kona, but was on the fence about going all electric. Since I'm already a hybrid owner, I also asked to see the hybrid Ioniq. Went up to Rockland Hyundai after finding the specific Santa Fe Sport I wanted. Manny called me at 9:59 after I put a info request in for that car. When we walked into the dealership we were greeted by John Simmons who knew the exact car we were there to look at. That started off on the right step and stayed that way throughout the entire car buying process. John was professional and they bought my leased car out from me completely and I didn’t have to deal with the other dealership. I was able to test drive the car, then my husband took it out while I started all of the paperwork. It was all very smooth. As usual, we were there for several hours, but even though they were so busy, John checked in with us and made sure all of our needs were met. I will definitely go back there to get another car. After visiting many dealerships in search of my newest fantasy, I returned to the place I first bought my Hyundai Elantra 12 years ago. Yes, 12 years ago. My Elantra ran without a glitch, 12 years, but it was time to make the upgrade. I drove right back into this dealership and was greeted with the best service and sales team a girl could ask for. Their service team supervisor (Albert) is not new at the rodeo and continues to over great service with a smile and professionalism barre none. A professional and no pressure Sales Team, offered me several selections and listened to what was important to me and found me a big surprise! After 12 years of saying, no, to every showroom, I just had to say YES, to my brand new Venue. As a senior with more than 52 years driving experience I’ve heard every sales pitch there is. After I drove it and I got the price I wanted, I had to say Yes, I will actually bought a new car after 12 years. I hated to part with my ‘baby’ after 12 years, but I took the Venue on a 4-hour fun drive and I am very happy, once again, with Hyundai performance. Unfortunately similar story to the other negative reviews. Prices were agreed upon, and then last minute were changed. Due to time constraints, I had no choice but to pay more than we agreed. But then the final straw was the ADDITIONAL fees tacked on top of the newly “negotiated” price. Shameful.

I always dread visiting auto dealerships. This past Saturday, however, I had the pleasure of visiting Rockland Hyundai in West Nyack. We were greeted by sales specialist Luis “LT” Tejada. As I was still under my previous Cadillac lease, I only expected to check out the new Tuscon Hybrid for future consideration. Mr. Tejada made a copy of my license, handed us the fob and generously encouraged us to take a substantial test drive in the vehicle. By ourselves! The car is stunning inside and out and sold itself, but I was not expecting to be able to acquire it for months. On our return, LT patiently answered all our questions. He was professional yet personable and most importantly, knowledgeable about all the Hyundai products. He personally arranged a buyout of my former Cadillac lease, and seamlessly took care of all financing, insurance and registration procedures. Luis oversaw the final detailing of the beautiful vehicle and gave us a basic and unhurried overview of its’ amazing technology. He set up a follow up appointment to meet with us this week for more detailed instruction. Mr. Tejada called us a bit later to make sure we got home safely in our new car. The following morning I was seemingly unable to start the engine. I called Rockland Hyundai directly and since LT was busy with another customer, Scott took the call and explained that I actually had started the car successfully but, since it’s a hybrid, the engine doesn’t kick on with any sound. He told me I was not the first person to call with this concern and we shared a laugh. Three minutes later LT called to follow up regarding my folly. This dealership and its sales representatives seem to have their act together. They are both product and customer centered. An excellent car buying experience. LT made it easy and actually, fun. The car is great and quietly starts every time!

We had a very poor experience at Rockland Hyundai. We called ahead to ensure they had the vehicle we were looking for before making our way over the bridge. They confirmed they did, so we took the drive over. When we arrived, we found out that the owner of the dealership had actually taken the car for the weekend as a demo car, and they did not actually have it. We expressed our disappointment since we had called ahead to make sure they had it. The salesperson just said sorry, I’m just a salesperson so I didn’t know. They called us about a week later saying the car was back. Their stellar offer was MSRP for a car the owner racked 3,000 miles on. No thanks. We drove about 15 minutes down the street to Liberty Hyundai in Mahwah and they were wonderful to deal with. They had the car we were looking for, as promised over the phone, and we paid less for an actual brand new car with 25 miles on it than the “new” car with 3,000 miles on it that Rockland was trying to sell. I recommend you keep driving passed this dealership and make your way to Liberty.
