The service department at Richard Lucas Subaru always does a fantastic job and once again didn’t disappoint. My car recently stolen and my entire eyesight system was ripped out by the car thieves. They provided me with a beautiful loaner while my Forester Sport was being repaired. When I picked up the car it was repaired beautifully and detailed like new. Jason, Ryan, and the entire service department exceeded expectations as they always do.

I went to purchase a new Subaru, and this was the first time I had ever purchased a brand new car. I was nervous because of past experiences at dealerships, but this was the absolute best experience I have ever had purchasing a car. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. The person who helped me with everything was Nick Grippi, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I usually get my Subaru Forester serviced at All American Subaru where I purchased from. I wanted to try Richard Lucas as it's close by. Unfortunately it didn't turn out a satisfying experience. 1. Poor facility of service station, no privacy if you planning to stay back during serving time 2. No cleanliness 3. No car wash as part of service ! 4. No satisfactory answer to open concerns 5. Insufficient information for what all needed and why. I couldn't trust the person and felt like my money is being wasted. 6. Service time was given 1hr + and was finished in 30+40 min. Did they do everything I paid for? I would avoid going to Lucas again. I got ripped off $280 with no satisfactory car pampering or maintenance. RIP OFF !!

Over the years I have received great service with Richard Lucas Subaru. Jason along with the team at the Front Desk constantly communicates with you about what is needed for your car repairs or maintenance and approximately how long it will take for the repair or service to be completed. Excellent mechanics.

The service department is excellent. I choose to wait for regular servicing such as an oil change/tire rotation. The staff is friendly, efficient; the waiting area is very comfortable with nice amenities; my vehicle is finished very promptly.

Very disappointed with this place.Rude people sitting at the front desk.More concern with ripping you off your money rather than helping you.They tell you issues which don't really exist.Or they will try to convince you to buy new parts when you don't need to by scaring you that if you don't change such and such parts you will not make it through..It's more towards the money side rather than customer care and service. Hope they train the people at the front desk to be polite,more friendly and more human instead of being just robotic money ripping machine from the customers.

Person who sold me my car was friendly and helpful. Took their time time helping with car and not wasting time. However when it came to setting up the Subaru STARLINK after the sale my sales person has gone MIA. Drove there twice in person to leave my phone number for him to call back as well as 4 phone calls to no prevail. After 3 weeks of trying to get in touch with him I ended up just calling Subaru customer service who helped me with my problem. Seems like once they sold you the car, they don’t have the obligation to help you. Even the manager couldn’t do anything said only sales person could fix the issue I had.

This is my third Subaru dealer. I've tried Morristown and Open Road and these guys are by far the best. Rather than try and sell you things you don't want, or even a car you don't want, they sit patiently and listen and offer great suggestions. They are trying to make you a satisfied customer, and I certainly am. I finished the process today. I got my new registration and got a few questions answered, but most importantly Gary and all the staff that I dealt with there were fantastic to work with. Even when they called me on the phone to tell me that my registration was finished, they were polite and warm. They made my experience of buying a new car educational, informative, and very pleasurable. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I was bouncing between so many dealerships around nyc and nj with bad deals unhelpful customer service rude etc… I was at my ends and then I went to Richard Lucas. I didn’t expect to leave with anything just continue to inquire and browse but Anthony Cabrera and the manager Jesse were the greatest help with amazing service good attitude friendly welcoming and worked to my needs. I ended up leaving in a brand new vehicle and couldn’t be happier! I don’t think I’ll be dealing with anyone else again and want to stick with their business. Thank you all for everything.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid Dishonest salesmen. Pushy. Shady. They list cars as "Certified" but then tell you it was a misprint when you get there in person. Bought a used car from them which I was told their mechanic checked out. Had nothing but issues with it. Very dishonest dealership.

There is no listing of fees for each service so you are charged at the mercy of their whims. The wait time was excruciating-I waited five hours and then was told they found another problem even though they had performed a diagnostic previously, but strangely that problem was not revealed. There is no complimentary food only vending machines. Garbage! They do however provide free coffee. Not the best, but coffee nonetheless. Oh and don’t expect a complimentary wash. It will not happen. My experience was not the best. Perhaps someone’s else’s will be better. One star for the coffee. I like coffee.

I had gone to all the dealerships on Staten Island, and every single one, the salespeople were pushy and didn't bother listening to what we wanted. The people at Richard Lucas do a great job, both on the sales side with making the experience less stressful, to all of the followup service work I've had done since. I had my car in for service this week and I can’t say enough about the service department at Richard Lucas Subaru, especially Ryan and Jason. They arranged for me to get a ride home so I didn’t have to wait at the dealership while the car was serviced. They are extremely helpful and go out of their way to explain everything about what needed to be done to the car to bring it current in its maintenance schedule. They also took the time to review what was done after the visit as well. I highly recommend Richard Lucas Subaru!

i purchased a 2018 subaru forester back in march, and since purchasing i’ve had to repair it three times and replace all of the tires. although the process of purchasing my car was smooth, i doubt that they had actually done a thorough inspection before selling the car to me. even though they claimed to, my car should not have this many repairs so soon after purchasing. very frustrating, disappointing, and misleading.

AMAZING! FRIENDLY AND HONEST! I brought in my car for a recall repair and to check out another problem. My mechnic had just damaged a sensor that he had to replace, and I was expecting to get an earful about it, but they were just fine. They called me that found another problem that, depending, could cost up to $140. When I came to pick up the car they told me it was a matter of putting in one screw and didn't charge me. Great guys and although I can't use them because they aren't near my house, I'm sure to go back when I'm in the market for another Subaru.

Everyone at Richard Lucas Subaru was very friendly and eager to help me. Specially my salesperson, Anthony Cabrera, was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable about the crosstrek, courteous, friendly, respectful, and willing to go the extra distance to answer any, and all, of my questions. I went to Richard Lucas for a tire issue that only genuine Subaru parts could repair. This was my first visit to this dealership. I was greeted by Jason Isidoro who was not able to accommodate me immediately but since it was not an emergency I accepted an appointment for the very next morning. I was able to have the work completed within an hour with a multi-point check as well as a recall repair I was not even aware of. Jason was very professional & I noticed he was the same with several other customers who came after me. I highly recommend this dealership for service work.

This dealership is the best one I've ever been to. I had 2 cars services here multiple times, and the service department was the reason that I bought another Subaru from here. They are genuine and make the service process painless. Scheduling an appointment is fast, I don't have to wait when dropping off my car, and they clearly communicate status updates. I was happy to learn that their sales is just as good. They were friendly and made the car purchase very easy and fast. When I went to pick up the car, they had everything ready and I only needed to be there for less than 30 minutes.

Normally a huge fan of their, honesty, efficiency, and thorough explanations. However, during this visit I asked that my tire be plugged due to a nail. I was told there was a thin piece of metal that wasn’t seen until the tire was removed as well. Suggested fix was four new tires. (Wouldn’t remove the mail and plug the tire because “tire was compromised”. It’s pretty compromised with a nail in it, too.) In a previous visit, I asked for tire repair. That time the damage was deemed to be too close to the outside of the tire. Suggested fix was four new tires. Good work, efficient garage, but I’d have liked to have had at least one of the tire issues resolved without four new tires being suggested.

Bought my car from Richard Lucas Subaru forester at the end of 2020. Had an excellent, low-key, no pressure experience. Came back for service a year and a half later, for my first oil change. They had also given me a verbal promise to detail my car next time I came in. Well they honored that commitment and did not hard sell me on anything. I would absolutely recommend tbem.

Anthony Cabrera is the reason I keep coming back here and have referred friends, family, and coworkers to this location. He's a salesman that makes sure you're well taken care of, can find the right vehicle for you even if it's not on the lot, and always does his best to get you a fair deal. Had my Forester in for a recall, and figured I'd have some routine maintenance done too. I've never been one to use a dealer to maintain my car, but my previous mechanic shop changed hands, and I don't like their customer service anymore. Had my first service at Richard Lucas, and the service and professionalism was beyond superior. Ryan was phenomenal to work with. We had a slight issue while my car was being serviced (had a small fender bender in the shop), but they stepped up to the problem and told me about it immediately. Gave me a loaner car, fixed it for me back to brand new condition, and handled everything extremely professionally! I will be servicing my beloved Subaru here for all the years I own her!

We came from Open Road Subaru with a bad taste as the salesperson made us feel as though we wouldn’t be able to afford a car while in fact we had good credit and a decent down payment. We came here right after and were immediately helped out. Within an hour we had a car and we’re signing our lease. Honestly a very smooth experience and could not have been any easier. I feel bad for not remembering his name but the tall Columbian guy who sits near the front entrance was super helpful and pretty relaxed making us feel at ease when getting the car.

I was interested in a Subaru WRX STI and noticed a Blue one out front, I decided to stop by without any intentions of actually purchasing. From my salesman Nick G. to the managers and finance department everyone was simply amazing. I have never experienced such a smooth and quick transaction. After a quick negotiation the deal was too good to pass up and I ended up making the purchase on the spot and was out of there in a total of 2 hours. That is UNHEARD OF! I am used to spending an entire day in a dealership walking around in misery. There was no BS, no additional fees, no sales pitch and no extra happy sales managers walking around to try closing the sale. I couldn't be happier! I will be back!

I think I'm on year two as a customer with this service team. I didn't even buy my car here. In my opinion, Jason leads this group so well - everyone is very professional and transparent. Ryan was in charge of my service today and he is great too. I feel like everyone on this team really cares about me as a customer and my car. Would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Anthony Cabrera helped me with buying a Crosstrek from Richard Lucas Subaru. Throughout the entire experience, I felt welcome. From the moment I arrived at the dealership, Anthony pulled up the exact vehicle I was looking at and let me go on a test drive. When I decided to go with another color, he had no problems bringing another vehicle to me. When dealing with Anthony, I always felt that he was being honest. It ultimately took me a few weeks to select a vehicle, but I never felt any pressure from Anthony to make a decision earlier than I was ready to. I initially came to this Subaru dealership to purchase a car. Although, they didn’t have the inventory of what I needed, the staff was excellent. When I eventually purchased my Subaru, this was the only dealership that I would use for service. The staff is extremely professional and helpful. My service times have always been shorter than anticipated. I would highly recommend this dealership!

If you are looking for a Subaru, THIS is the place to go! Please ask for Cameron!! I was slightly unsure of what I was looking for but Cam was patient, insightful, and helpful. I felt that all of my needs were heard and acknowledged. More importantly, everyone at the dealership was so friendly! There was no pressure whatsoever. Worker Ryan, in the service department made my experience the best. I was only there for 2 recalls, but he went over and beyond. He was also very knowledgeable in what he was doing, but most importantly, was the pride shown. It was a pleasure meeting him, and very easy on the eyes

The customer service is top notch! The staff definitely will sell you something before you leave the service department. Hopefully, the service repairs are just as great... they didn’t have the part in stock... Monday , 11/27/2020 at 1100 AM, so I wasted the day and I had to reschedule . Jason was the person I was dealing with this time of my arrival. He was thoroughl. Did I mention that they did not have part I needed, so what I came to the service department for was not completed. However, Jason was able to sell me on replacing the air filter.... hmmmm. I said the customer service was great!!
