Red Canoe Credit Union Front Ave, Castle Rock

I hadn't been to Castle Rock in years, it was heartwarming and nostalgic. The Red Canoe branch I used to frequent is in Kelso, and it is a nice location. This Red Canoe in CR, from the landscaping outside to the inviting decor inside is outstanding. The Customer Professional who took care of me during my visit was very friendly, and took the time to inform me of their adjunct app; Red Canoe Compass. With it you have the standard features of their Red Canoe app, but you can also disable your card / lock your account remotely among other features. My transaction was pleasant. At no time did I feel rushed or unappreciated by the Customer Specialists. If you are heading South on I-5 this is a stop worth making. You couldn't ask for a nicer Credit Union; I suppose you could, but you would be hard pressed to find one. Red Canoe was an essential part of my credit repair. Their secured loans helped raise my score 100 points fast. The best part is, as you pay your loan back, the funds go directly into your savings account. Someone local may leave a token of handcrafted artwork for a lucky customer to take home. All this location needs is croissant & black coffee and I could camp there.

I don't know if everyone knows this, but when you're on vacation and your credit union branch is not available where you are, the credit unions formed a co-op credit union service, if your credit union is affiliated with this co-op you're able to go in and use their facilities, like it's your own hometown credit unions. Now their might be some restrictions, but before you go out of town contact your credit union to see if the are in the co-op. Just a really nice crutch to have with you, when you're out and about. I will always put credit unions first, where you're a member, not just a dollar sign, when you walk in their doors. Great job ! Just another excellent reason to be a member of a credit union.

I would actually give them zero stars but it will not let me. Red canoe will cancel your debit card about every 3 to 4 months and not tell you . One day it just will not work I wint on vaction for 2 weeks and guess what they shut my card off even though 10000 in my account I live in the country so we dont always get are mail so 4 weeks later you might have your new card again they could atleast call and warn you but no thats way to much work for them so when your in Washington DC and they shut your card off it a bit tough and when you call them and explain the issue well your going to be disappointed with what they say but you will get a I'm sorry well sorry doesnt fix the problem when you have no money access milies from home thank god we had a back up and let me add we have never overdrawn the account they say its for fruad when you call them and magically anywhere form 20 to 150 dallors will just disappear from the account and guess what they can not seem to explain it or where it flew off too magic fairies I guess and if your a member that has the pay back fraud protection well I will just say this several times I have had magic money issues and never a pay back I will say the tellers are nice peaple but if you talk to anyone a bit higher up they will just smile at you and offer no help at all .Anyway thats my experience with them like it or not its the truth .

They won't give you change for a hundred unless your a member!

This is the worst run bank I’ve ever dealt with. Every time I have to come here it’s always a Long wait due to them not being staffed properly. I’m not sure who manages this branch but their incompetent!

This Credit Union is exactly what you'd expect from a small town bank. They are personable and friendly, and very helpful. I recommend that you ignore the one "sour grapes" customer who reviewed here, and go give these folks a fair chance to serve you

The tellers are so helpful& they ALWAYS remember my name👍😆
