Quality Inn O'Hare Airport Reviews
D
So we found this hotel on the Choice Rewards site. The location we wanted and the price was great. We hate spending a lot on hotels since we'll be there such a short time but are always nervous about the quality/safety of the place. This Quality Inn was pretty good. Front desk staff was great, room was clean, A/C worked great, TV good. Loved the shower head. Some are weak but this was terrific. Overall very good visit. Only issue was that the bathroom door didn't latch. I mean the lock was broken and would not close at all. Had to shove a washcloth under the door to keep it closed for some privacy. Only one negative thing, but it was kind of a big one. Overall, I'd stay here again though. Nice place.

This hotel is highly unprofessional. Terrible customer service. Try to stay anywhere else. I was traveling with a party of 9. Our connecting flight home on 6/22/22 was cancelled so we booked three rooms for the night with the Quality Inn O'Hare (mostly because they were the only available rooms last minute - trust me, we tried other hotels). We only booked the first night because we wanted to see what our options would be with the airlines the next day. We had rooms 286, 287 & 288 - we were checked in by a woman (I believe Denise but I didn't get her name then). We brought our luggage upstairs (there's no elevator) and settled in. All three rooms were stuffy and hot so we immediately turned the air conditioning on. We went to grab a quick dinner at the Q Bar downstairs while the rooms cooled down (don't order the meatballs, they came out frozen - pizza was okay). When we went back upstairs, room 288 was still extremely hot. The air conditioner was blowing hot air. So we went to the front desk to see if they had another room or to release this room. (It was so bad all 9 of us crammed into 4 beds between the other 2 rooms). When we got down to the front desk, a different employee was working (Caucasian male with blonde hair and an accent - not sure from where). He told me he had no other rooms and he did not have access to release my room, I would have to speak with Denise the next day - he told us Denise got in at 10:00am. I let him know none of us would be using the room and he still insisted he couldn't do anything. The next morning, after speaking with the airlines, at 10:00am we headed downstairs to book a second night and to figure out how to release room 288 and book a different room. I was greeted by yet another employee (not Denise, but I believe her name began with an L). We explained the situation and she told us she couldn't do anything - she also told us we had to speak with Denise and that Denise wouldn't be in until 3:00pm. In the meantime, we decided to book the additional room because we wanted to ensure we could all stay at that hotel and 4 beds is clearly not enough for all of us. After L told us she couldn't do anything about 288, we told her we would handle it with Denise later that day - L then took it upon herself to discount the taxes for room 288(all of $20) - we didn't even use the room and tried to release it the night before so that was obviously not the refund we were looking for. L insisted Denise could do more so we should come back to speak with her. We came back later that night after exploring Chicago, around 8-9pm. Denise was finally present and we were able to speak with her. We explained the situation (again) and she said L already discounted our room so there was nothing she could do. We argued that we didn't ask L to discount the room - she took it upon herself. Denise explained once one discount was applied, another one could not be applied which, again, is ridiculous. We did not ask for a discount. We wanted a full refund for releasing / not using the room. Again, Denise insisted she (even though she is the manager) could not do anything. Denise suggested we speak with Andy (the General Manager) who only works weekdays 9am-5pm, our flight left at 6:00am the next morning. Once we landed on Friday 6/24, I put a call into Andy which went directly to voicemail (which is full so I could not leave a message). I tried on 6/27 & 6/28 even leaving my number with the front desk for Andy to call me. No return call, no response - just entirely unprofessional. Its just so sad that hospitality can act in this way especially after the unexpected delay home. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere. Not to mention - the rooms (other than the beds) were actually gross. There were cleanable stains / residue on the dressers and counters in every room. We know they were cleanable because we passed Lysol wipes all over so I doubt there's an active housekeeping staff.

This is the answer to all things travel near Ohare. Staff is friendly, the shuttle is on time and a 6 min ride to the airport. Small workout room, very nice bar & restaurant with a few pool tables and game machines. The room is perfect to have a place to get a little rest before your big trip. Sure bathroom is a little short on sink and mirror but who cares. Have stayed here 3 times now and never had a musty room. Parking and to sleep here is half the price of parking alone at the airport. Recommend this place to all my friends.
O
Wanna stay in a hotel where body fluids on walls, filthy carpet, vomit outside of the hotel? Than this is your best hotel to stay in! I couldn’t be there for 10 min, called booking.com and requested refund despite that I had only 5 hours of sleep before my flight. Do yourself a favor, don’t waste your money and book in four star hotel only for $10 more than this hole
M
I chose this hotel because of the location, and also the price. Was very affordable, considering it's so close to the airport. But service was not so great, the front desk guy in the morning left us waiting while he was organizing the coffee area. And not serving breakfast in the morning is definitely a down side.

I stayed here last August while visiting Chicago to attend a Cubs game. I chose this hotel because of price and proximity to the airport. When I travel for sports games I often take public transportation. Being at this hotel close to the airport allowed me to use the free airport shuttle as a link to the L out of O'Hare Station. Taking the L got me across Chicago to Wrigley Field for the game and back to the airport/hotel afterwards. During my stay I noticed that this hotel is older and really shows its age too. One example: the layout of the main building at this hotel is not very friendly to those who have a large amount of luggage or heavy luggage because there is not an elevator. I personally travel with a backpack because it is easier. However, I personally heard 2 parties who had just checked in complaining about having to carry their luggage up the stairs to the 2nd floor. One of the parties even asked me if I had found an elevator to which I told them I didn't believe there was one. Another negative was that I was disappointed with the lack of easily accessible food options around this hotel. I realized I couldn't walk anywhere so I tried to eat at the in-house restaurant. I was never acknowledged by wait staff so I had to go back upstairs to my room to order Door Dash delivery. Overall this hotel worked out great for me this time around but I don't think I would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel before a trip to Florida. Took advantage of the Park and Fly with airport shuttle service. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious enough for our two couples. Restaurant was great. Lots of menu options with exceptional portions.
A
The beds in the double room clearly are not big enough for two adults and probably barely big enough for two children. My vehicle was hit in the parking lot and the receptionist and the manager Andy were of no help. Neither would check to see if anyone left any information about the accident. Neither was helpful or apologetic about the incident. The receptionist told us “ You park at your own risk, there isn’t security to watch the cars”. I will never stay at this place again. Our vacation tarnished by staying here. The officer that came to do the report even stated the employees aren’t the most helpful from his past experience
V
Positive: This property had great access to O¿Hare airport Negative: Room was in old out-building. Lost power through the night and had to walk along a pitch black corridor with no exit sign lighting the hallway. Scary because we didn¿t know if the steel door on the end of the building would be unlocked
A
Positive: All staff, from the front desk to the bar/restaurant, were top notch and very friendly. Food and drinks from the restaurant were very tasty and fresh. Negative: Floors in room and hallway were quite dirty. They could use a good deep shampoo. Room smelled a bit mildewy or stale, and hallways just had a funky smell that I couldn¿t put my finger on. Shower tub was very slow to drain.
T
If I could put 0 stars I would. We were in town to meet with potential wedding venues. When we arrived at the hotel, there wasn’t a human around for Atleast 5 minutes. Eventually someone walked up front from being in the back, with zero personality. Gives us out keys, and tells us the wrong number room (not matching the keys). First off - has a gross smell. We walked into the room and there’s disgusting boogers on the wall. Then we get another room, where the bottom of the sheets have dirt all over them. The walls look like they were sneezed all over and just not clean. No countertops wiped, just gross. We ended up changing for our meeting and left. I don’t recommend for anyone that can afford something else. Good day!
V
Positive: Clean enough to sleep a night. Negative: I called confirming parking. They said yes. On arrival, no parking. Their solution..¿you can cancel your reservation. Rude. Rude rude. Would not recommend.
F
If I could no stars I would. There is a smell like someone is buried in this place. Not to mention, the food at the bar is disgusting. I got food poisoning. Never order the soup or lunch specials. Is there any place that is clean, good customer service and the guest aren't rude and consendening.
A
While the hotel is dated, the rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The air worked amazingly so we were able to sleep comfortably for the few hours we were able to get due to loud persons in the hallway yelling.
A
This was the perfect park and stay. We had no problems with the shuttle service and my vehicle was fine when I returned. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a park and stay.
A
It has a great restaurant with quality food. The hotel is located near the airport with park n ride and shuttle service They are outdated and need upgrades. Carpet and baseboards, walls etc outdated and worn . Thin walls and floors, front desk help is snarky and curt not friendly and helpful and warms dnd friendly
N
Ice machine didn't work no plunger when requested said had to wait for maintenance for a few days...not acceptable rooms should have a plunger
A
Thr front desk was welcoming. The room was a bit dated but cleam. The hotel bar and restaurant were good. The airport shuttle was timely and the extended parking there was convienient.
A
The staff was very accommodating but for the first night we couldn’t sleep properly because of the chemically smell of cleaning products used. Come to find out, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. We switched rooms the next morning but were disappointed once again to find a large mold spot on the carpet this time. These were both on the first floor. After one more room swap we went up to the second floor and noticed it looked a lot more like what we had expected, no mold, no overtly chemical smell. I don’t have anything against the staff, if anything they were quick to help. The main issue was the mold and poor ventilation. It would have been a 3-4 star review if the rooms had been throughly cleaned.
C
Bugs, bugs, more bugs! Water damage, mold, nothing was taken care of. This is NOT quality. The first room I got, once I opened the blanket on the bed (room 101) I saw two dead bugs, clear as day. In addition to many cosmetic issues that seemed to be completely neglected. I called the front desk and told them about the issue and they quickly switched my room and apologized. Ok, no problem. However, the next room they gave me (room 122) also had bugs, but more! It looked as if there was an infestation, they were sprayed, but then left all over the wall. In addition to water damage, mold, and blood on the comforter. I absolutely would not recommend. I was given a refund thankfully... hopefully... it has yet to hit my account. But this is absolutely unacceptable and needs to be resolved. I called and rebooked my night stay at the Wyndham hotel. I very much recommend them.
T
There were no parking spaces left when we arrived. People had to park in makeshift spaces and on the grass. The shuttle is supposed to run every 30 minutes, it took 58 minutes and several phone calls for the shuttle to finally arrive…the hotel is 7 minutes away and we’re just being told “he is on his way”
T
Booked a room for night before and after my trip to San Francisco and parked my car here for the week. First night, room was good. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The shuttle was prompt, even at 3:30 am when I caught it. Staff was pleasant. Car was safe and sound the entire week, super pleased about that. One problem was that my reservation for my return night wasn't entered. Lovely lady at the desk was able to get it straightened out if I wanted but I opted to just head home instead. If I have to travel from O'Hare again, I'll for sure stay here and would gladly park my car here without concern.
A
Felt safe, close to the airport with half hour shuttle trip intervals, very clean room but not well maintained, hallway carpet needs replacement, bathroom is updated, comfortable bed. Inexpensive for quick overnight for airport, modernized bar that is open late, no elevator to second floor that I found. I was comfortable and would stay again if I required an overnight for the airport.
b
Love the shuttle service but there's no elevator and toilet is super low
A
Staff was great. Shuttle was excellent. Looks like they have renovated the lobby completely, and the bathrooms about halfway. Highway noise is LOUD, but it is drowned out by the noisy air conditioner. Carpets in hallways and stairways is disgustingly filthy. Apparently they have given up on cleaning it until they replace it. Strong cigar smell in hallways. Rooms were good for the price, but you do get what you pay for. Carpets in room were not the cleanest either, and definitely looks aged overall. Parking was secure, price was good, but I'd stay somewhere else next time because the state of the carpets was just too much for me.
M
We were disappointed to find out that after booking a room here that they don't even offer complimentary breakfast as they stated on their page. Not only that, when we booked the room online, the total was $93. When we checked in, the front desk guy said it's $107 and couldn't explained why there was a price difference. It was late and we were tired, so whatever, we just paid it. Felt that we got ripped off from false advertising of 'complimentary breakfast' plus the cost of the room.
A
The rooms were clean and spacious. All of the staff were friendly and great to deal with. We especially appreciated the shuttle that will take you to the airport and the blue line stop there. I would definitely stay here again.
A
Clean, comfortable rooms. Bed was wonderful! Great bar & grill! Prompt shuttle to & from O'hare.
L
This hotel seems to be pretty old. Some of the rooms have bugs flying around in them. However the beds were very comfortable. We had a issue with the shuttle who was supposed to pick us up in 5-10 minutes. We waited an hour. The other days weren’t too bad.
J
Horrible room, dirty Jacuzzi. Front desk and Carolina didn't even want to down grade my room so I wasted money on a Jacuzzi suite and u couldn't even use the Jacuzzi.
J
Negative: there was no breakfast. This is something that people should be aware of. it was inconvenient and we had to find breakfast in the morning.
V
Positive: Location cheap airport parking Negative: Beds where broken A/c didn¿t work Needs to be renovated properly
A
Alot of Quality Inns across the country are far from any Quality. This one really has a Quality appearance. From the lobby to the room, the staff was helpful. The price was perfect especially the cost for parking our car since we will be staying again once we return. Their airport shuttle runs everything 30 minutes and door to door service was really appreciated.
A
Rooms were clean and up to date but the hallways all reeked of weed and looked to haver not been maintained. Parking was a problem for a hotel that sells a park-n-fly option.
A
Don’t be fooled by the low parking prices. We stayed there the night before our flight because it was cheaper to stay and leave our car there than parking in another airport lot. We knew it wasn’t going to be a nice hotel but were drawn in by the parking and airport shuttle. Front desk staff are not attentive at all. Room was dingy(as expected). HVAC system made an extremely loud and frightening noise during the night that woke up the entire hotel. However, shuttle to the airport was prompt and we were optimistic that the less than desirable stay was worth it. It was not. When we returned from our flight, we went to the pick up spot as directed at o’hare and were promised a shuttle every 20-25 minutes. We saw other hotels and parking company shuttles go by one by one for 30 minutes. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that we had just missed a shuttle and factoring in that it was 9:45pm, we waiting 35 minutes before calling. After multiple calls being told time after time “10 more minutes” we were hung up on several times. We couldn’t get a clear answer out of anyone. We were stuck at o’hare with our car stuck at the hotel. Finally, after 90 minutes the shuttle arrived. Others were waiting just as long as we were, so we knew it wasn’t our fault and that we were in the right place. The driver claimed it was his first run of the night and had no answer as to why there wasn’t a shuttle earlier. Wish I could give 0 stars. TLDR; don’t be fooled by low parking prices, it’s not worth it. Pay the extra money to park with PreFlight or another better lot.
M
One of the best experiences is the bar and grill which is part of the hotel. They also have a shuttle to and from O'Hare Airport which is close by. A very convenient place with super friendly staff.
L
Need updating, does not have a pool. Has an old motel stinch to it. I changed rooms when I got there cause my room smelled like it was flooded by a hurricane. My toilet was leaking at the handle so maybe there was a flood. Has a nice bar that serves ok food. No breakfast served cause of virus restrictions. Overall looked clean just not a fresh smelling place.
j
Left our vehicle parked in lot while on vacation. When we returned side window was smashed out. I was told to file a police report and speak to the manager, Andy Meya. I left Andy message after message; however, he never returned my call. To be honest, I'm embarrassed for whoever owns this place. What a terrible way to run a business.
M
Positive: Absolutely nothing. It was a place to sleep. Negative: Everything. Very rude check in staff, the 'breakfast' offered is literally the worst I've ever seen, the rooms are musty and outdated. When you leave they will steal money from your card, saying they found cigarette butts when no one in your party smokes.
a
My flight on United was canceled at night at the last minute due to weather. Not knowing the area, I tried to find a hotel close to O'Hare airport. Quality Inn O'Hare was the closest. I was charged a price per night that was considerably over the actual listed price on the website. While checking in, the front desk was rude and didn't answer questions well. The room was dirty and the hot water was a trickle. Needless to say, I DO NOT suggest anyone stay here. The breakfast also was not existent and no where close to walk to for any breakfast. Upon trying to call to remedy the issue, I was told, no reimbursement could be made. Whomever is making reservations from per phone should be held responsible by the hotel to not price gouge anyone especially in an emergency situation. I am totally disappointed in Quality Inn at O'Hare and will never stay in any of the hotels represented on Choicehotels.com again.
V
Positive: The location near the airport and shuttle service Negative: Was informed from the hotel staff ( days before) that I can leave my car with no charge up to 5days. when I check in the ¿ manager ¿ info me that I would have to pay to leave my car for those numbers of days. Which I had no choice but to pay.
A
Enjoy staying at this hotel before and after vacation. It’s very comfortable and convenient. Great employees.
p
Worst hotel I have seen in my life. Just reception is good looking. Lobby area smell like cigarette. Room are no clean.. I will not book this hotel in future again…
V
If you want a peaceful sleep, this is NOT where you are gonna get it. Walls are thin, heard nothing but banging all night and people talking in the halls. Housekeeping was loud banging around and laughing in the early hours. I got stranded at the airport and needed a quick inexpensive room and this hotel was available. When i got here it was 11pm and i was starving, thought id grab a drink and bag of snacks from their vending machine... oh wait! They didnt have one in the main building. You literally had to walk out of the hotel and walk across their parking lot to their other building to get to it. I was too exhausted to do all that.. thought id sleep it off and just get their free breakfast in the morning... oh wait! They didnt have that either... since march 2020! The only GOOD thing was they had a 24 hour shuttle from the airport. This place needs a good remodeling as well.
A
Our first stay the weekend prior was great. This overnight stay was not good at all. First they couldn't find our reservation and then after we were getting ready for bed another set of guests entered our room. They also we're given the same room. Then the following morning a house keeper tried to enter our room well before 8am.
A
It was a little icky. It looked clean, but my room had a funky smell. It was colder than I would have liked, and I had no control over the thermostat. The ice machine for our building didn't work. I got in around midnight and was too tired to complain to the front desk.
S
Excellent service close to the airport 10 min in shuttle bus. Also they have wonderful restaurant in lobby food is not that expensive. I just loved this hotel highly recommended. Thank you we will come back again
A
The shuttle and restaurant are wonderful services. The property is showing it's age. The service was very good.
A
In this survey I gave a lengthy account of my recent stay! I will reiterate that what makes this Quality Inn exceptional is the people! I have stayed at a lot of places over the years including some higher end facilities, but few have the continuity among staff from the ground up to provide friendly and professional service! It doesn’t matter what time of day each employee brings their unique value to job!
V
Positive: The front desk attendant was pleasant and accommodating. Negative: Quiet time after 11pm did not happen. The other guests were loud with the slamming doors. (I didnot complain to the front desk because I felt they wouldn¿t have been able to quash the loudness of the people.) pictures of property was not entirely corr
H
I rated it 2 stars only because the staff are friendly and they are very helpful but this hotel is very old and dirty everywhere the rugs in the hallways are stinky. The hotel rooms are stinky this hotel needs a remodel ASAP it. It needs serious change because nobody wants to stay at a stinky place that looks old. It’s very stretchy, this place is very creepy please rent a better place because nobody deserves low quality experiences, I don’t think the owners care about this hotel because the place stinks and all the rugs turned into dirty dirty grey color from the dirt . I am very glad we made it out that hotel safe and also we haven’t taken any bedbugs because it’s very everywhere.
L
Positive: location efficiency restaurant/bar quickness of shuttle staff Negative: not a thing
A
Hotel was clean and shuttle service was perfect for overnight before an early flight.
A
I was extremely displeased. I paid a good amount of money to be treated poorly by the front desk staff, and my time was disrespected by the man driving the shuttle. I am not a hard to please person yet this hotel could not even do the bare minimum that I paid for.
M
Really cozy older hotel with a bar and grille inside. Very friendly and helpful staff.
J
How do you serve food at the bar but not breakfast due to covid restrictions. Makes no sense
A
The overall experience was about what I expected. The property is very close to the airport. There are frequent shuttle services between. The restaurant has some excellent choices of food as well.
S
The bed was comfortable aside from that they definitely need to update and work on housekeeping. There was not a back tank on the toilet just strait metal plumbing running through the wall. The carpet was awful and when I walked into the bathroom my foot such to the floor.
J
I've been staying here regularly for the past 5 years. They offer a decent airline crew rate. You get what you pay for. Bed is comfy but walls are paper thin, and some of the AC units are very loud and annoying. The internet is absolutely horrible. If you need to use streaming services over the wifi I would definitely recommend the sheraton or the Hampton, q bar is good. Staff is generally helpful and friendly, shuttle is always on time for airport departure. Waiting for a pick up at the airport is a different story. Ymmv depending on timing. Don't breath too heavy in the hallways or you might fail a drug test. Lot of smoke going on.
T
Much better than the last place we slept in. Only draw back was the location
A
Hotel is decent with rooms that need updating. Thin walls can be annoying at 2:00 am
J
Positive: Nothing Negative: The checkin person was ok. The person training the checkin person was rude. Can hear the person talking in next room - very loud.
S
Good place for quick stop. Had to use for one night while flight delayed.
V
Positive: Proximity to the airport and the shuttle Negative: Everything except above. Not clean, staff is very rude, no water. Smelly floors. Never recommend this hotel EVER!
A
Excellent and very caring staff. The food is very good and fresh, Also a very clean Restaurant, and very restrooms throughout the hotel.
A
Get what you pay for. Most convenient part is park and fly and still had to wait almost an hour to be able to park.
L
Meh. My room reeked of Cigarette smoke. Like so bad and I asked the front desk for aerosol since the windows don't open. No one came to help out so literally had to go ask another person who worked here to come spray my room with something to make the smell go away. I used to work in a smoke shop, so I had the prior knowledge of knowing Ozium and blunt spray works like a charm in these situations. I literally had to use half the can it smelled so bad. Next time I'm bringing a plug in filter AND a scented wall plug in. They really need a designated indoor smoking patio and a section specifically for guests who chose to smoke in their rooms. There was signs everywhere outside saying no smoking but people are gonna smoke where they can, might as well give them the option to without bothering guests who don't smoke. Also the wifi went down but it was up and running in the afternoon. It's also a decent speed which was nice. The free shuttle, coffee stand, and bar are a nice touch. There's also a subway, liquor/convinience store,Italian sandwich shop and dunking donuts within waking distance. Tbh I won't think I will be staying here again unless it's absolutely necessary. And I would suggest to request they leave the door open and the fan on a couple hours before to get rid of any odors since the windows don't open.
R
They don't provide drinking water and room size is good but bathroom is very small and congested. They didn't provide any soaps or shampoo. I booked for 2 days it was a nightmare. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Parking lot is very small and they have sign saying park at own risk
A
Pleasantly surprised upon entering the hotel has been redone on the inside. Has the basic clean and comfy rooms. Microwave and mini fridge. Shower has a great water flow. Fabulous restaurant/bar with decent prices and huge portions!! We would go back just for that alone!! Breakfast was fair- no hot eggs or meats otherwise typical free breakfast. Parking is tight and in an unrated open lot. Keys must be left at the front desk “just in case we have to move your car”. I had an uneasy feeling about that, but turned out ok. Ours wasn’t moved. Not sure what they do when their lot is full. Decent, inexpensive stay for us using the park, stay and fly package.
s
Great drink specials most of the time the bartender is awesome she makes up phenomenal Bahama Mama
A
We used the Park Sleep Fly option. The room was very comfortable. The shuttle drivers were prompt and courteous. We did not eat at the restaurant but had a drink there. The wait staff were attentive and prompt. Our flight was early in the morning and we had a two and a half hour drive before we got there, so this was very convenient. I came back alone - so to get the shuttle ride back to the hotel for my car was so much better than dealing with Ohare parking.
J
Let's be honest in that for the price, the location is great. The rooms are dated, but clean. Parking is at a premium, even when doing "Park and stay" as we did. The counter person, on both occasions, initial stay and upon return, treated us as more of a nuisance. Whereas the morning persons when we departed were both very friendly. The shuttle was always there within 20 minutes, as we went downtown via the train as well. I would recommend the location, based on proximity to the airport and lot price, just don't expect anything special.
O
My wife & I spent 3 days at this hotel & found the Front desk staff very friendly. We asked for a room change for the 2nd & 3rd nights & they were very accommodating. The housekeeping staff were equally pleasant & thorough. The parking was safe & well lit. The continental breakfast was great as well (including their waffles!) The lady hostess was very friendly & the food area is kept clean including nice paper table covers over their cloth. Rooms are clean with newer furniture.
A
Parking at this motel has become ridiculous, cars parked in fire lanes because they’re letting people store their cars and fly out leaving people that are paying multiple nights no places to park theirs.
T
Positive: close to airport Negative: would not allow me to eat my dinner inside their bar area. I ordered drinks in the bar. Ordered food from a different locale since their grill was closed, but once my food arrived, i was not allowed to eat at the bar.
A
Walls were paper thin. Same old motel/hotel structurally with newer updated decor. You could hear every word in neighboring rooms and the hallway. Front desk was nice. Lobby and exterior looked good, but that doesn’t make for a good nights sleep.
A
I stay at this hotel whenever I’m in town. Each visit is an experience and fortunately all have been pleasant. The wifi can be a bit slow and there is no elevator.
A
Great proximity to airport, great staff at check-in, good food at the restaurant, terrific complimentary shuttle service to the airport. The room was in major need of upgrade, particularly the bathroom.
e
The hotel is under construction, so there are some blocked off areas and such. Overall the location to the airport is very good. They offer a shuttle to the airport that runs 24 hr, every 30 minutes so there is not a long wait time and our driver told us exactly how to get to the train and where to come back to for pick up. The rooms are being updated with new fixtures, AC/heat, etc. For the location and price, I was pretty satisfied. There's a little bar/restaurant attached that had a good selection of menu items and good service. I would stay there again.
A
Inattentive staff, no breakfast despite saying free breakfast while booking, no water bottles in room, bad lights, loud AC
J
No star.Denise from the front desk has hung up on me about 15 times now. She refused to allow me to get the dresses I left at the hotel today. I have family near that will come get it but she won’t let me. What a crazy front worker.
A
I stayed here one night using Choice points. It was perfect for what I needed since my flight arrived late and I didn't want to schlep into the city so late. I had a nice stay, the room was clean (which is what matters). Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The breakfast they had on offer was excellent. I specifically chose this particular hotel for the shuttle service to and from the airport, and that went smoothly with no problems. I was initially concerned when I was given a first floor room, but I had no problems with any noise. Overall, my stay was great.
M
This place was deplorable and severely overpriced because it was labor day weekend but the only thing worse than the front desk attendant's disgusting attitude and ratty, over-processed balayage was the wet swamp-like feel of the place. Why is the air wet!? The sheets were clammy, the carpet was damp. Wear your shoes in the shower; trust me.
A
I had a problem with my original reservation at a different hotel. So I had to quickly drive around and find a new place and this location of Quality inn was very accommodating and quick to give me a room at a really affordable price and they had pleasant customer service. And clean!! 🥰 I liked the entire staff at Quality Inn this weekend. Very sweet
C
Be very careful when requesting to park at this hotel. They will put in your “request” to park and even if they can’t fulfill your request, they will not let you get out of the reservation to go find someplace that you can park your vehicle. So be very careful. I am disappointed we drove this far - were told at check in that the parking is full and to go elsewhere to park…but you still have to stay here because it’s too late to cancel…if we were informed of their no vacancy we could have made other arrangements. Very poor customer service.

This hotel is really gross. It was like something from a horror movie. It’s so old and in disrepair that there’s not even an elevator, which they didn’t bother to tell us until we had wandered around trying to get to our second floor room and ended back at the desk. Second floor wouldn’t normally be an issue but we were leaving the next day for a long trip and hauling all that luggage up the stairs and back down again really sucked. Website said free breakfast, but there wasn’t even an option for paid breakfast. The ONLY redeeming quality was the shuttle driver. He was nice and very helpful. I’d never stay here again though.
P
Vending machines only take cash. No breakfast because of covid yet they still have a bar/grill 2ft from the sign that says no breakfast. 🙄 The actual rooms were okay but the towels were gross and had yellow spots. The only nice thing was the airport shuttle but even then they no real info about it online and you have to call to figure it out.
R
Absolutely 💯% satisfaction. Very clean and no odor of any kind. The only thing was, that the heater/AC unit in my room didn't work at all. Not even the power came on. But the room temperature was perfect over night. Keep up the "quality" work, Quality Inn. Looking forward to staying here again
A
Honestly, everything you would expect out of a budget hotel. Everything was a little off, but the bed was clean and the shower was hot. However, the smoke detector went off whenever we took a shower. The shuttle to the airport is quick
M
The room was OK but the price and location were excellent. With other hotels charging 191.00 per night for similar accommodations and features this one had them beat. When, I come back to Chicago I will stay here again.
M
Positive: It was connected to a restaurant that provided delicious food. Negative: The parking was horrible. The room smelled and the carpet felt sticky and matted. And, old creepy guys were hitting on my 3 teenage girls!!! Did not feel safe!
V
Positive: Proximity to airport. 24 hour shuttle service. The bar and grill located inside the grill was clean, reasonably priced and had very good food. Negative: The hotel seemed a bit rundown and out of date Our room was not as clean as it could have been.
L
Terrible experience. The hotel was not at all as advertised. Paid $100 for a room with paper thin walls, multiple broken appliances, unresponsive staff, and a strong smell of smoke/sewage that permeated everything. On top of all that, the free continental breakfast was permanently suspended “due to covid”. For a hotel that is clearly unconcerned with hygiene, that’s a bit of a joke. Not to mention they are more than happy to sell you food at the attached restaurant. It’s just another way to cut corners. Never staying with Quality Inn again. Oh, and their support website is every bit as broken as their hotel
C
Positive: Location and it was a handicap room as i requested. The airport shuttle was a bonus. Negative: The breakfast did not exist because of covid. Had they said that we would have chosen another place.
L
Very dirty, smudges on lamps walls, doors, back of computer chair. all baseboards were covered in spillage, dents and scuffs all over walls and dark red round stains on sides of bed/ box spring sheet. every inch of the room was filthy and untouchable. walking in and looked around in shock (nothing like online photos) wasn't there 10min before leaving. and not to mention, the parking is horrible. basically nonexistent. took longer to park than it did to leave this place. the front desk woman was also rude from check in.
H
We were pretty crabby after standing in our hair for 12 hours they were super friendly bar was fun food was good and the room was cold quiet and dark it's really all you need 😁
V
Positive: Free shuttle Negative: I reserved the room with breakfast but there was none at the hotel. There were ants in the hotel room. The hotel charged me extra compared to what I booked including taxes.
A
Park and fly is ridiculous. Our door was broken. The hotel smells like sewage. Room was smoked in and pot usage was everywhere. We had read alot of reviews and thought this was a good fit for our group but we were afraid to stay there.
D
The service was ok , the rooms not that much. The good thing about this hotel is the bar with pool tables. The rest is old .
L
Part of the party of 9 that stayed on 6/22-24. See recent review. I expect someone to reach out to one of us as soon as possible. Next step will be to contact corporate.
V
Positive: The proximité to the airport Negative: The staff, the long wait for the bus shuttle. It came two times and just drove by without stopping. It doesn¿t say on the website that their top amenities won¿t be available because or COVID so no breakfast, no room service nothing!!! The room was

The Quality Inn at Shiller Park - hmmm....the staff was fantastic! They listened, were courteous and quick. The service in the QBar was also stellar. The food was delicious and their french fries were awesome. However, the rooms were another matter. They were clean and we were provided with plenty of towels and amenities and could ask for other items (toothpaste, mouthwash, etc) if we needed them. We were concerned about the safety of the bathtub, because the tub did not have a non-slip surface or non-slip grooves so taking a shower was an ordeal trying to make sure I did not slip and fall. The walls are also thin - you could hear conversations and television sounds through the wall.
E
Love the staff. Rooms comfy, great TV selection. Nice large mini fridge. Yes, it’s old—- but I’m still comfy here. Food use to be soooo very good at “Bella Sera” restaurant. It has changed. They were known for their homemade Greek salad dressing. I was so excited to have this Greek salad once again after being gone for 2 years. I was terribly disappointed to see they no longer make their homemade Greek dressing. The store bought was TERRIBLE. I will never order this salad again, as long as they substitute this nasty stuff. Ruined my dinner. $5 for nice grilled chicken breast, but for a total of $17 for a salad with awful dressing. I’m not looking towards trying other stuff on menu either as I’m sure corners were cut. You won’t realize until you get youre order and then realize— UGH. As nice as my waitress was- she was 100% clueless on soup of the day ( some patron sitting at the bar responded to me & told me what it was.)I was surprised she wasn’t familiar with general questions. She’s 💯 % forgiven if she’s new to the staff though. I was just so disappointed in the food as Bella Sera was always phenomenal.
A
Room was very clean, tv worked well, as the heat in the room was very comfy. Will be staying again this week, its very convenient to O'hare...
J
Excellent customer service, rooms are very comfortable and equipped for a multiple nights stay. Staff is very friendly and the bar restaurant is amazing, wonderful menu and full bar
C
Room was good. Bed was great. Front desk staff a little un welcoming. Also the shuttle for international travel back to the hotel will take a good while of your life . Its cold in Chicago. Just take an Uber. That shuttle isn't coming. The lady at the desk is too busy to be bothered by your needs or what you've paid for.
V
Positive: The only positive experience we had at this hotel was a quiet good night's sleep. Negative: The non cleanliness of the common hallways and especially the stairs carpet was filthy dirty, the room key card locked us out twice, had to get a different card. There was no hot water for the shower. Won't be staying there again.
A
The carpet in the main walking ways and lobby is incredibly dirty. The key card kept deactivating and I had to go to the front desk to get it fixed. The wall paper and plaster in the room was peeling and cracking. The faucet was spraying water and had a stain in the sink. I wish the "late check out" was at least 1pm. We had to sit in the airport for 5 hours because the latest you could check out was noon. Thank goodness there is a bar in the hotel because there is nothing else around it. It has a free shuttle to the airport which is convenient. The room did have a mini fridge which was nice. But the hotel overall is out dated and dirty.
G
I have been there twice recently and enjoyed the services they provide. Staff is diligent, rooms are clean and comfortable, good cable could improve, the bar is popular and the close distance to the airport draws a large # of customers; many take advantage of the free ride and others leave their vehicle there for a low daily rate. Keep up the good work!
C
I rated on 4 because staff are friendly but the hallway smells weird and seeing they are trying to update. Smelled pot or Marijuana and breakfast was late because of individual not coming to work on time.
K
We've stayed here multiple times when flying out of o'hare. Clean, comfortable beds & courteous staff, park sleep & fly & airport shuttle.
J
Positive: Easy check in and out, convenient location to O'hare Negative: Common areas very dirty, minimal hot water, and a shower that didn't really work.
l
Room was clean bed was amazing bar ok but I wouldn't eat there again
A
The room was clean, the airport shuttle was awesome. Otherwise the place is rundown and dirty.
B
It was good for the price. Like they say you get what you pay for. Bed was very comfortable, but walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. Next door people had music at 1am and you could hear everything clearly. Even their conversations. Good thing I only needed the room for one night. The shuttle to the airport was great and short.
A
This hotel was so gross. It reminded me of a low budget hotel you would see in a horror movie. The rooms smelled like mildew, And there was “white stuff”on the duvet covers. Unfortunately I arrived very late and could not switch my hotels at the last minute or else I would have left right away. I have been a rewards member for a very long time and typically when I check in at different choice hotels I am acknowledged & offered an upgrade - this did not happen at all. Overall, I would never suggest this hotel to anyone not even a stray dog.
A
My flight was cancelled at O'Hare. I had to find a hotel within short notice with limited amount of money available at the time. The price and condition of the room was excellent. I would highly recommend the hotel for stays. The Bed was very comfortable. Almost lost track of time, shower room and Tub was clean. On my future travels, I would definitely stay at this hotel.
H
Not as disappointing as the reviews made it out to be. Room was clean, a little roughed up, a little mold in the corner and an unsure smell, but bed was comfy and clean and thats all i care about. For the price i got the room for this was fantastic! Fyi air port shuttle timing isnt great...
B
Good one for family. Have small refrigerator and microwave Owen for heating the leftover food . Comfortable and neat bed. Free parking. Four star due to, unable to open the door every night and need to run front desk to get it fixed. Bathroom door was not locking.
K
Cute hotel, newly renovated so it looks really modern and clean. The young guy at the front desk talked to us for a half hour lol...finally we got to the room and it was very muggy and humid, but cute room. Bedsheets were damp, blankets were damp. We asked for new bedding and they just gave us a pile of sheets so we had to made the bed ourselves. In the middle of the night, someone knocked on our door really loud, but there was nobody there.... it happened again 5 minutes later, still nobody there. This hotel might be haunted, lol. Overall, the hotel looks great and appears great with all the renovations and decorations...but in reality the experience is mediocre at best.
A
Stayed here for my quarterly visit at Loyola Hospital. Check in was quick and easy. Clerk was very nice. Room was very nice and was very clean. Love the extra sink. Dinner at The Q was top notch. Had a very nice stay here. Will definitely come back for another hospital visit.
V
Positive: Front office and lobby is good. But , dirty and old carpets across hall way , in the room. Beds were good but not up to the rating that I see online. Only consider this place if there are no options to stay near Ohare Negative: I did not like Carpet, floor, AC, chairs in the room,
W
The woman at the front desk was extremely rude. I wouldnt want to go there to get treated like that when there are other options. She was disinterested, rude, passive aggressive. But this is the woman who worked there on Wednesday night. I saw a very nice girl the next morning. The lady at the bar was also super helpful. So you get the bad review for this particular woman. Please do something about it.
M
You get what you pay for. Airport shuttle was free and efficient. Rooms themselves were certainly dated and needed a deeper clean. Not the nicest part of town, but safe enough and close to the airport.
A
You get what you pay for. The shuttle to and from the airport was great, but the room smelled like smoke and did not feel very clean. I was a little nervous leaving my car parked on that busy of a street for the week but had no issues when we returned.
A
This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. I am completely disappointed, and angry about the money that it cost me to stay here along with the damages to my vehicle.
T
Bed was comfortable, great a/c and wifi, reasonably priced. There was coffee in the morning but currently not doing continental breakfast. The carpet needs a shampooing but on an unexpected layover, it's close to the airport AND has a free shuttle every 30 minutes.
V
Positive: Location. 7 mins drive to international terminal. Negative: No breakfast
k
Full bar and restaurant at night, but no breakfast. The only coffe is one of those nasty concentrate in a bag machines. No elevator.
A
My husband and I decided to stay here the night before our flight and leave our vehicle for 4 days. We went to the bar for a nightcap which was nice and we liked the bartender. The room was clean but extremely outdated. You can tell in the bathroom they just painted over rust. Overall for one night, the room was adequate. We both got no sleep which was unfortunate because our flight was at 8:30am. The whole night, people were yelling at each other in the hallway. Finally, a housekeeper told them they had to go. It was all night though of constant yelling. They really need a “quiet time” policy like most of the other hotels between 11pm and 7am. Especially since most of their clientele are flyers. The shuttle....we waited an hour outside the bus shuttle terminal at O’Hare even though Quality Inn advertises they run every 20-30 minutes. That’s a lie. We won’t be staying here again.
A
I think this hotel needs better customer service. They also need to address the issue with the slippery tubs.
K
Been here over 10 times, never had an issue. They’re very accommodating and from the outside it might look dingy but it’s actually very clean on the inside. They also have a bar and Grill area that’s modern and looks great. It’s in a good location and overall feels comfortable. This would be a great location for tourists coming to Chicago for the first time. I was born and raised here but knowing Chicago, I know that this would be a great location.
K
When I arrived I tried to park toward the north end of the lot. The desk clerk told me I had to park near the south end of the lot, which is right by the I-294 overpass. They were doing construction work on the overpass and when i got back after a week concrete had been sprayed all over my brand new truck. It will not come off for anything. We used this hotel once before this and found it to be good, but after they made me park in that spot I will never use it again. My truck will need professional services to remove the concrete splatters.
J
Kinda ghetto. I would say you get what you pay for. The beds are fine, not great. Shower and bathroom are etcha sketch, like there’s no lip to the shower so water will just leak onto the bathroom floor. No real counter space in the bathroom. There was a mini fridge and plenty of towels. Not dying to stay here again though.
K
One night stay I was flying at five o'clock in the morning. The best place was near the airport
P
Front desk clerk wouldn't reactivate my key cards to get into my room cause my son wasn't with me and the room was in his name. I had the receipt and debit card that he paid with and everything, but she still had us locked out for 30 minutes. Not cool at all
A
Catalytic converter stolen from parked vehicle. Parking area has no cameras and is unsecured. Hotel is run down and outdated.
A
My flight arrived a bit early and Anna was very hospitable and helping us check in a bit early so we would not be sitting outside very nice lady she made sure we had all of the amenities that were available for us at the time. Phenomenal customer service i will be returning because of that.
A
The photos of the rooms and bathrooms did NOT match what we actually stayed in. The rooms smelled like stale cigarettes, they were cold and dirty. The beds were sunken down in the middle and you could hear everything happening in the hallway and the neighboring rooms. The shuttle service to the airport was okay, but when we returned to O'Hare we ended up waiting about 30 mins for the shuttle so I called to make sure they were coming. She said they run every 20-25 mins and should be there soon. 20 minutes later we were still waiting on the shuttle when at that point I called the hotel. They said that the bus had to go to the shop so they would send a taxi right away. We waited another 10 mins to be picked up and brought back to the hotel to our car.
S
Great location with around the clock shuttle service to the airport. No breakfast was provided.
j
Would have been great if the website would have said breakfast would not be served. We flew in from Poland and picked here for our layover with our kids for the shuttle service and breakfast. The hotel had a really nice bar/grill with very tasty pizza and great service. The room itself is just what you would expect nothing great but served it's purpose.
a
Old property but good for a night near airport and shuttle service every 30 mins
A
Do not stay here. There was dried blood on the shower curtain, tons of old wrappers under the bed, etc. not a good experience.
S
Positive: Just the location near car rentsls. Negative: The entire facility seemed dirty. The carpets in hallways were dark and dirty. The stairs were carpeted and so stained and dirty. The hallways seemed dark and worn doors and molding. The shower in bathroom leaked water from underneath and subfloor.
C
Positive: The staff was excellent throughout the hotel. The food was excellent too!
S
Terrible service worst hotel ever customer service horrible then the power goes out and your in pitch black darkness the whole night with no electricity no heat no tv nothing just darkness you go downstairs to fix the problems and just makes it worst by deactivating my room key because he didn’t know what he was doing
A
rooms are clean, good beds, a bit noisy from the road, no breakfast!!! and this is not indicated at the time of booking, no food nearby.
K
Basic accomodations, but it's quality inn. Always works perfectly for my park and flys in chicago. I stay here everytime I fly out and the shuttle is timely and operates 24/7. Also- good food in the attached bar/restaurant, although it is usually long wait times for your food
f
This quality inn does not deserve even 1 star. The website says breakfast included but they don't provide any. The receptionist is so rude that they don't help with anything. No water was provided and when we called the reception he answered rudely to buy it from the vendint machine. The TV remote was not functioning correctly, so when I called up the reception, they said they cannot help and asked me to watch whatever was shown on the tv. The worst hotels of all of my experience. I would not recommend anyone to stay here even for a cheaper price.
A
Our stay would have been great, but we heard everything from the people next door. Walls are too thin. Not great for light sleepers. The beds were super comfortable though.
V
Positive: The room was clean and comfortable. It was also very close to the airport. Despite being inexpensive I felt safe there. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
K
Positive: The a/c worked Negative: Carpet filthy, bathroom was ok
N
We have stayed at Quality Inn O'Hare twice. This most recent time in April 2019 was an overall success with a couple comments. First, the bar is being remodeled yet we still had a good experience with the accommodations they made with temporary bar and tables to use during the remodel. It is nice to have food and drink as part of the hotel and be able to walk there from the room. The second item that was a bit of a challenge is the parking. All the spots were taken so the front desk said to park in non parking spots and leave car keys with the front desk so the car can be moved while we are away. This was not known when booking and uncomfortable. Thankfully driving around a couple times someone left a marked parking stall so we were able to not leave our keys with the desk. Our car was safe when we returned. We did not have to wait long for the shuttle on the front end or the back end of our trip. We would stay with Quality Inn O'Hare again and look forward to the bar/restaurant remodel being completed.
S
I took the shuttle from O'hare to this hotel and was able to make an impromptu booking. The price on my opinion is very reasonable and attractive for someone on a budget. The shuttle may take some time to move between the airport and hotel, depending on weather and traffic, but it's reliable. I found the hotel comfortable for my short stay as simple as it is. I bring food with me when I travel, so the refrigerator and microwave were nice amenities. The walls were a little thin, though, so I could hear traffic in the hallway late at night. Also guests talking in an adjacent room were audible. Overall I was happy with my stay. It isn't luxurious by any means, but it is a decent place for those on a budget. I was happy with my stay.
V
Positive: Location Negative: No breakfast and just worn out
A
My mom and I stayed here. We had a flight for vacation and so we stayed over night. The shuttle service was a nice bonus. The hotel was in an okay shape. You could tell they tried to update it. It was fairly quiet. The only thing you could hear were the other hotel guests coming in at 2:30 a.m. Other than that, good value for what you pay for.
A
The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. I loved that the hotel had a full service bar that stayed open until 4am and that my room was far away from the bar! I could enjoy the bar and then return to a quiet room to get ready for the next day. The location was about 5 minutes from the airport, which was great since my flight was delayed and arrived at 2am.
A
The hotel is a little deceiving at check in, when we got to our rooms, they were clean but I didn’t have the full feeling of clean. There are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms and toilets were way to small. If they could have been a little taller, they would have been a little better. I really appreciated the ability to park for the week we were gone with access to the shuttle to and from the airport. Not sure that is enough for my family to stay again.
A
As I stated previously, the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly.
K
Hotel Experience (3 Stars) is more of a motel vibe but the Bar and Grill(3-4 Stars) gives a lounge feel. The placement of the hotel isn't ideal. Had some gratuity issues. One waitess said gratuity was based off of party size the other said after a certain time gratuity starts🤔(confused).
A
I like the Park Sleep Fly option. The hotel shuttle to the airport is very convenient. The rooms are comfortable. It is a reasonable value for the cost. I like the restaurant in this hotel. It is nice to be able to eat without going out. The breakfasts are usually good although for this trip we had to leave before the restaurant opened.
D
Run down and not very well maintained. I stayed in a king room on the first floor of the main building because there is no elevator. There are obvious attempts at repair in both the room walls and alot of the ceilings. There are gaps in the room doors are large enough to see into the room from the hallway. Place noisy due to both the thin walls, poorly hung doors and two busy highways on either side of the building. The only good thing this place seemed to offer was the restaurant/bar but its overpriced IMHO. I also find it interesting that they will serve food from 11am-11pm (bar is open until 4am apparently) out of the same kitchen the breakfast would be prepared in all day but not offer breakfast to the customers staying at the hotel. Overall if you missed your flight and need a place to stay the night, go for it, but if you plan on staying any longer there are better places nearby for around the same price.
A
Would not recommend at all.... the housekeeping Staff really needs to step it up... the owner could probably do a remodel several room doors look to be hanging on by a thread you could see through the cracks of the door. We had 4 double beds rooms don't beds were on blocks the bed linen very old needs to be put in the trash
A
I love this hotel! Have stayed at most of the Hiltons in the area for much more and this is super nice as well! Fridge and microwave, nice room with comfy beds. Free breakfast-nothing special-but again free and they have a variety of oatmeals which is cool. Good price. I do not like this area as much as Rosemont (not as much around) but it is fine and close to the airport. Shuttle is reliable, and a comfortable ride (unlike many O’Hare shuttles) with nice leather seats. Note there are two buildings and no elevator to get to the second floor.
A
the location is good for quick airport shuttle and pickup is more often. it is noisier than others with road and flight traffic. The individual rooms were quiet from each other. I felt the motel was clean and in nice shape. For my google and apple GPS coming and going to the motel it did not work correctly. It kept flipping directions.
A
The only thing good about this hotel was the airport transfer. The buses were very nice, air-conditioned, and the drivers were very accommodating helping you load your luggage. But other than that that is it, the hotel is dirty the rooms need updating. Don’t let the lobby fool you because it is been upgraded the rooms are in disarray. They were rips in the carpet dirty window screens in an actual piece of toilet paper in the toilet when I arrived. It’s a continental breakfast and it is good but the coffee was horrible. All in all I would not stay here again. T The only thing good about this hotel was the airport transfer.
