We closed on our house sale here. While the folks were pleasant and did their job when I sent a paper I thought was the correct one and then later sent the actual paper, I was never told that the first one I sent wasn't the right one and it ended up costing us more money than anticipated. A simple email saying it wasn't the right paper would have made the experience a bit less annoying.

They handled the closing of our home in Door County efficiently. My only complaint and the reason for 3-stars vs. 5-stars is they "held" our funds. Miraculously within 15 minutes, after calling and emailing them the next day that our bank hadn't received the funds the previous day, they finally transferred the funds. Wondering how long they would have taken to process it had we not called, especially considering it was a Friday. The transfer of partial funds to a local bank happened immediately. Humm? Perhaps, someone holding funds to collect interest?

Ellen Ellingsen and her team did a great job getting ever thing completed accurately and correctly on a tight schedule. They are the place to go in Door County. Thanks for the great job!

The closing went well or so I thought until all of my documents were mailed to a buyer’s contact from the previous property as in owner’s title policy and condominium deed documents. Highly irresponsible in this day of ID theft and obviously failed to protect personal information. I called them. No apology and no offer to help protect my identity nor offered a remedy so this won’t happen again. Do you want your official documents mailed to any random person? Would you trust that company ever again?
