I called in on Friday and asked how much would they give for a PS4 500g without controller I was told by Glen As long as it works $100! Well I drive all the way there go in this rude lady I delt with told me it wouldn't be the $100 I was told! She went ahead and asked the other employees who spoke with me on the phone while it was the guy by the name of Glen and he stated yes I told him $100 she turned around looks at me and said well not giving $100 she offered a lower price well I said I really think you should honer what you coworker told you he said ($100) but I guess you got me in a spot and I don't want to but I will half to take it this time I got to have gas money to even get back! She replied with a smirk and said you know what I'm not even going to buy it you can just leave! So I would highly NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF IT WAS THE LAST PLACE!

They always got good deals or will make a good deal with you if you deal with the right employee some of them come off as rude but all in all one the better pawn shops in Springfield

I brought a TV and wanted to just return it I had the receipt and all and being I didn't get the protection plan they offer I lost out on 100 dollars. I'm not happy and will not be returning. I would understand if I didn't have the receipt.

I have been dealing with them for years they have always treated me right no hassle loans real easy and fast

I would just like to thank the gentleman that helped me with the big speakers at Pawn King. I would say this pawn shop has the nicest workers I have ever felt with in a store. Not only did he help me carry the speakers out to my truck, he also helped me with the price on them. I was short a couple of bucks and out of kindness he took care of the rest. I would recommend this store to anybody that would like quality things for a great price. They were very polite and professional, the store owner should be very happy for hiring such a great team to work for them. I am very happy I found this store and I will definitely be back. Bought a speaker from them and discovered within a couple of days that only one side of the audio track was coming through. I was told they were a second hand store (which apparently makes it ok to sell broken products) and that they didn't do anything after 24 hours and that I would have had to have bought the protection plan when I purchased the speaker. I informed them that I was never offered the protection plan and the girl told me they always offer it to everyone. I wasn't going to argue with her over a $30 speaker. But be warned, if you buy something here it might not work, and they take no responsibility for the quality of the items they sell.

They welcome you with a smile and sometimes crack a joke that makes you feel a little special. I love there attitudes towards the customer service aspect of your transaction.

I recently had a piece of jewelry repaired at the Springfield pawn king,I was very impressed with the quality of work and the customer service. I originally took it to “Denny jewelry “where it was miss placed for about 3 months and the repairs never made!, I brought it in and talked with Dan “service manager “, and I’m happy to say I picked up my necklace today and it’s perfect...

Great place, treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. Took the time to answer questions about the products and not just make the sale. The manager Dan is really a great person to work with and sees to it that all customers leave happy and with a great buying and loaning experience. Highly recommended!!

I have shopped at Pawn King for years. I have always felt welcome as I walked through the door and is greeted with a friendly smile and a nice word. The merchandise is always in excellent condition and is priced very fair. I recommend to all, stop in and check them out, you will not regret it and might actually find what you are looking for. Springfield's Pawn King has always quenched our thirst for finding new items that obviously we couldn't live without!! They have a great range of everything. Most pawn shops that I've dealt with previously I haven't gone back to because there lack of variety. I'd rather go to one place and find multiple things instead of driving around. They have some awesome tools, guns, cameras, guitars, electronics, and most importantly swords and knives!! Each time we go (monthly) we end up with 5-15 knives/swords for our collection. The prices are great!! Matt, who is a cool dude gives us good deals when we bundle. So blessed to have found this great place. Would highly recommend this pawn shop!! I picked up a few items out of my lawn and two employees, Courtney and Benji, were amazing in enduring me that my items were safe and secure. I love the hospitality of the store itself. Everyone was wonderful to me!

I was recommended Pawn King by a good friend of mine because I was looking for a new gun and I was not disappointed! I dealt mainly with Matt and Jon and they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and they guide you through all the paperwork that comes with purchasing a firearm. I highly recommend checking them out!

only like my 2nd time in there. first time I came with a fixed blade knife to sell guy said we really dont deal in knives i went to pick up my item and he puts his hand on top of it and says make me a good deal on it! today i came in with a couple more knives. the lady says oh we got lots of knives i would make you a offer but its only going to be $3.00 i declined the $3.00 dollar offer as you can no longer buy these with the flag image on them . actually had 2 items the 2nd item told the lady i. wanted to pawn it for $30 or $40.she went and talked to the other guy and told him i said $20 or $30. i told them no on the 2nd one too $20 wont buy everythang. i cant come back up in there i used what little gas i had yesterday going up for low ball offers... any knife collectors reading this the knives are for sale new in the box if your looking for a hard to find Christmas gift hit me up 217-303+eight nine six one

I came into pawn king in a time of need. My brother's dog passed away from complications of surgery the day before. Dan was very passionate about helping me get the money fast that was needed to cremate our dog. I'm so thankful for Dan for caring so much about helping his customers. I was asked to leave because somebody in there did not like service dogs you know we served in the military and they did not like a service dog in their store I was told because my daughter had my dog As I was looking around in there the dog pulled on her leash to come to me because that's her job and somebody out of the back which is your manager's store manager did not like the dog in his store Hey If you can't run a store correctly then you don't need to be in the business because we give our lives for you to have your freedom

Trashy employees and overall horrible experience they walk around and talk like they’re nothing but angry 24/7 I can understand why Monster Pawn gets more business now….

Great staff, always helpful and caring. Great competitive pricing and an awesome setting as far as the store layout goes. They have a wide variety of things, and they always have done me absolutely great! My personal rating for this company and store is a 10/10! The Decatur Location is just as awesome as this Springfield location as well. Both get my personal, professional 10/10!

BEST PAWN SHOP IN TOWN! I've been to all of the pawn shops here in Springfield & this one is by far the best! I was looking for a play station for about a week. Although, some of the shops actually had the play station game that I needed, their customer service wasn't the best. So I left. When I finally got to Pawn king I was greeted nicely by this lovely girl named Keyera. She was very patient with me and actually answered all of the questions I had about the game system, unlike the other pawn shops. She even went as far to make sure everything worked before I left so I wouldn't have any issues, and she found all of the games I asked about with no hesitation! Top notch service! I'm not sure why most pawn shops don't do that, but im glad I came to pawn king!

I frequent this place because they will generally work with they can be busy as all get-out but still somehow find time to help you no matter how large or small the purchase is. And every purchase is treated like hey big one. The workers there are very attentive without being overbearing. It's my favorite pawn shop in the whole wide world. I can't speak to the pawning aspect of their business but as far as selection and prices, you can't beat. They will bend and haggle if you'd like.

Benji and Dan were awesome helping me through the firearms purchase process. My purchase was fast, easy, and very affordable. It’s no wonder this is a well known pawn shop for being willing to take care of their customers.

We visited Springfield IL Pawn King searching for a couple items. Quickly located a generator being offered at a Manager's special pricing. It was an excellent deal and quality brand name equipment. I have been checking for a trucking gps and pleasantly surprised to find one today. Also in great condition and unbelievably priced. Shopping was pleasant as items are organized, priced, and available to test out. As a last minute idea I chose a wrench set , brand new as a Christmas gift. Finally and most importantly we checked out and were offered a $50 discount on our big item. Always feels like a win-win situation when shopping at Pawn King and working with store manager Dan. His sales people are knowledgeable and more than willing to help customers. They can count on our return trip !

Dan the manager went over and beyond to help me find my wedding ring. I am so greatful to him and the Manager in St. Louis for bringing it back to the Springfield store for me. What awesome people that work for Pawn King. Highly recommend them for all of your buisness.

Today I was served by Niko, with entertaining commentary from our co-host Nick! The staff here are always fun to be around, and they are very knowledgeable. I always have a great experience at this pawn king, prices are fair in both directions, the service is quick and friendly, and the store is clean and well organized. 10/10 would reccomend!!

Matt Dan and Jason have got the most wonderful people skills. Very knowledgeable of all their products. not to mention buying my wife a wedding ring at Christmas from Jason. If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. $25 off of the brand new retail cost for a used tv with no return policy or warranty is a horrible deal. As a Pawn Shop you should be willing to at least negotiate your pricing. Your price = $100 Brand New at Walmart = $118
