I got approved for a brightway credit card and it took so long to come in the mail that I forgot about it. Bout time I remember it, I was receiving a late fee and I haven't even used or activated the card. They charged an annual fee to the card so that made it have a payment due plus interest. I had to pay $65 for annual fee, interest rate, and $25 late fee which equal to $100 and I didn't even use it. I paid and closed it the same day. They got $100 from me. the customer service rep didn't even help me to at least take off late fee then I would of kept it. After she closed the account, THEN she want to say is anything I can help you with? Nah bihh, you could of said that to keep me🤬

Once I was contacted, the representative advised me that she was completing my paperwork but had a few questions. Three hours later called me back and indicated again that she was completing my paperwork and had a few more questions. After being told I would be contacted in "a little while"....which I wasn't I reached out to her after noon on the next day because I hadn't heard anything from her. She advised me again that she was reviewing my paperwork. Her communication is AWFUL!! I feel like she's not too good at her job. I don't think I should have to reach out to her, it's her job to keep me informed instead of "I was just reviewing your paperwork".......

A family member was given misinformation about whether they were allowed to stop autopay (you can and they were told there would be additional fees, they wouldn't be able to keep up with the "interest" etc to discourage from doing so) as well as were told they could not change their due date (you can). This branch experience was vastly different than calling the corporate office. I'm not sure if it was deliberate or they just don't know what they are doing but they seemed to be trying to prevent customer from stopping autopay and moving due date. The second person spoken to through corporate number quickly and easily made the changes and was surprised at what had been previously said by the local branch.
