OECU - Oklahoma Educators Credit Union Northwest Expy, Oklahoma City

I previously did an auto refinance thru this company and they still left a remaining balance at my other credit union. I have spoke to managers who have promised someone would follow up with me and yet no communication has Happened. At this point I wish I never refinanced with this company because of the lack of communication. I was charged $50 fee for adjusting my payment to my original scheduled payments which was earlier than when my payment was due with this credit union. They even charged me half a percentage point for not being at the same address for 2 years. This credit union nickles and dimes it’s customers to stay in business. For any consumer out there please be aware and refute any service with this company!!

I recently refinanced my car loan for a much lower interest rate. So far I've been treated great! Everything was done online, and OECU has helped every step of the way! Highly recommended!!

I wasn’t going to leave a review but please don’t bank here. The hours are 8-5. They are not available on the weekend. Customer support is not available after 5. The ITMs do not work consistently. The employee turnover rate is ridiculously high. They will have you sign the same paperwork over and over claiming changes will come only for nothing to be filed correctly. They don’t allow outside direct deposit. Save yourself time, a headache and stress. Please pick a different institution that actually has you in mind.

Multiple reasons to avoid banking with OECU and especially this particular location. To start, if you use PayPal, don’t expect to be able to link you bank account to PayPal. If you sell through online platforms such as Etsy, expect an even longer delay in receiving your funds when they have been released to your financial institution. When calling up to this location don’t expect to reach anyone that can help you and be prepared to be transferred multiple times. When visiting in person expect to be disrespected and treated like you are an inconvenience. Especially from the branch manager who if she has met you once will refuse to meet with you or even speak to you over the phone a second time. Oh and when you want to withdraw a large sum of money enable to pay cash for large purchases. They will inform you that they do not have that capability to give you your own money. They are also unable to cash their own cashiers check without holding it for at least 10 business days. So really any other financial institution would be a better choice then these clowns.

A bank disguising themselves as a credit union. They charge a hefty pay by phone fee for loans, and are way behind the curve on technology and online banking. They absorbed my former credit union and it’s a good thing I don’t use this place for my normal banking because I would run, not walk, away from here.

Some time ago, I established an account to use as a household account, for joint use. They did a hard sell to get me to transfer my car loan with them, and then when I tried to follow up about doing it, they blew me off for almost 2 weeks. Finally just cancelled my account; don't want to do business with that kind of organization.

Save yourself the trouble and do not bank with them. They are disorganized, they fail to provide proper communication with their customers, and they charge ridiculous rates just to make a payment online. They started charging me insurance for a car I had ALREADY submitted insurance for, but they are claiming they never received it after I spoke with someone confirming they had my insurance and even emailed it to them a month ago just in case. They never informed me my rates were going up, or that they provided me with insurance. I will definitely be financing my loan with a more competent bank.

I gave a 1 star rating because there is not an option for -5 stars. After more than 2 months, our loan officer hasn't responded to us after numerous messages were left. Horrible customer service. They took money from my checking account for our truck loans AFTER it was paid off. They hold your money when they have it saying it's on hold. Thiefs. The employees don't know their jobs. Everyone says something different. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!. Save yourself a headache and bank somewhere else.

I will never use OECU again. Last fall I paid off a loan and the very next month they drafted the same amount out of my checking account again! I had to go down there and get the money and deposit it back into my account. As if that wasn’t enough I open a letter I received yesterday saying I’m being charged $15.00 for having a negative balance and they said in the letter an additional $15.00 would be charged on March 5 if a deposit was not made. The letter telling me this was postmarked on March 7. So basically I gave them $30 to close an account, what a rip off! I encourage any teachers out there to stay away from this place.

Mevia was MORE than helpful in getting the loan processed in a very timely manner. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Definitely one of the best experiences, if not THE BEST, in dealing with credit unions.

I had a car loan with this institution before and I WOULDNT recommend this bank to anyone. Customer service is terrible with answering the phone (have to call multiple times to get someone) they’re rude , not knowledgeable of their job . Report you late even when you have proof you made your payments on time along with adding additional hidden fees then expect you to pay them or they threaten to repossess your vehicle . Run far away from this credit union .

I need to speak with Cindy White or Trent Vaughn, right now with me being a member or were we supposed to be like family has me feeling like we need to get a divorce. no one i have came across is trying to do the right thing. So this matter is very upsetting to me because i work to hard for my money to just through it away when it's not my fault.
