Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union Farmington Ave, West Hartford

I love this credit union! It’s literally changed my life. I’m not joking when I say I have 15 accounts with them, well 14 now. Ha- 2 for each of 4 kids, a business and personal checking and savings, I also had a PPP loan account with them (now closed since forgiven) since my business did two PPPs through nutmeg. My credit score has climbed since I joined, and I partly attribute that to their easy to use app. The app is great, as a business owner I’m getting checks and direct deposits regularly, and I can do everything remotely. I love the satisfying “bzzz” the app makes when it captures your check image! I’m constantly transferring funds from my accounts to my nutmeg credit cards, and I used the points for a Florida keys vacation with the kids last year. I’m confused someone said their credit card account had a bait and switch… I’ve used mine for balance transfers and my nutmeg APR is way less than my discover or chase APRs(though my goal is to never pay it got any lender). I regret having a heloc at peoples bank, I want all my accounts at nutmeg now. *hugs* I’m confused about the ratings for poor customer service. I love that you are greeted and phoned by the same people. An amazing teller helped me open my accounts and I had her direct line. A very nice man helped me with all my ppp needs. They sent reps to advose me for payroll and tax input when I opened my account. I’ve linked my accounts to pay my kids Chet funds. I have found tge Employees to be prompt and ethical. In the past, I’ve I’ve had accounts at velocity credit union, peoples, Barclays, American, chase, sovereign, santera, Webster, even key bank. This is the best, for me, by far! Fees are low, but more importantly they are easier to avoid. Don’t believe the haters, this bank is great.

BEWARE Horrible service, no one returns calls. Shockingly bad experiences, no wonder branches are closing. Sadly, I had to join for an HSA account that my other credit unions does not have. Update: I called so that I could ask them not to share my personal information as a letter indicated. The person who answered the phone said they couldn’t help me and that they couldn’t look up my account without my email. I asked for a manager and she said was none.

Don’t apply for loans or credit cards. I thought credit unions were suppose to be better to people. I was way Wrong. Tricking you with bait and switch on cards (after 6 months 30+%!?!) Poor customer service too .

I can't get them to send a payment book not are they willing to provide a mailing address for payments

Save yourself the headache. Go to American Eagle.

west hartford location is suppose to be open at 9am. It 9:05 still no one here. this is not acceptable and i am late to work for no reason now. Thank you nutmeg

I’m shopping around for a new credit union to join. I’ve been a member of the HFCU for far too many years of disappointing service. I’m nothing if not loyal to a fault. Anyhow, the reviews for Nutmeg State Credit Union don’t inspire confidence, and I’m disinterested in exchanging one bad credit union for another. Has Members’ costumer service gotten any better at Nutmeg? If so, I wonder what NSCU has implemented to create a better Member experience. (Picture included for visibility & because I don’t have a picture of ambivalence.)

Terrible customer service at this location, came into credit union 1/3/2020 and received terrible customer service from tall blonde with short hair, black eye liner. No personality, very rude. Would never return to this location again.
