I have been choosing to work with North Idaho Title for about five years now. I specifically request to work with Dorothy Prophet, Escrow Officer. She goes the extra mile for my clients. Twice she has gone personally to their homes when they were unable to travel to get documents signed. She is very experienced and pays attention to all details. She is hard-working and puts in long hours. When I send a client to her, I know they are in good, capable hands to get the job done!!

We were selling a property as part of an estate. The title company was provided with our probate attorney's contact information so that they could request the necessary documents for titling. Well 5 weeks went by and my attorney was never contacted until the day of closing, at 3 pm. This was after my realtor twice requested they contact the attorney. We were then rushing around to get the paperwork done for them at a cost of $275/hr for my attorney. When I asked why it was never done I was told that it's really busy and they were rushing to get things done. They also messed up the closing sheet 3 times and didn't even include realtor commissions on the initial closing. They had the realtor fees wrong, which would've cost me an additional $2900! The buyer was paying cash and was told at 1pm on the day of closing that they didn't know how much money he needed to bring with him. Worst closing I've ever been involved in, at a lot of expense to myself. I got an apology and an excuse. They conducted business as if they had never done a closing before. My realtor is never using this company again, nor am I.

Poor Communication cost me weeks to close and time off of work driving to and fro to title company for last minuet surprises which canceled the deal. Arrogant on top of that. Luckily I found a cheaper title company to do business with, I hope they are more diligent, time will tell.

Karen is a ROCKSTAR and we are so thankful for her. She is a bright gal that doesn't get caught up in the drama of the process and has the ability to prioritize and manage not only the items she is responsible for but is able to guide and direct others that are inevitably involved in the process as well. Choose North Idaho Title and if you're so lucky to have a choice choose Karen as your closer.

The people here were nice and the paperwork process was easy and we felt like it was explained to us pretty good but sadly some mistakes were made. The paperwork filed by North Idaho Title had the wrong city and state put on on our mailing address so all mailings for tax records got sent to a non-existent address. We received late fees on the property and weren't notified until the county reached out to us by phone. We were close to having a lien put on the property. We reached out to North Idaho Title to see if they could help with any of the fees that were incurred due to their mistake and give them an opportunity to resolve our problem. They took our name and number to check with management and we sadly never received a call back (At least 1 year has passed). Now recently we received a bill for over $3000 from the sewer district in reference to a debt on the property that was to be paid prior to the sale of the property. When asking the sewer district about it they said that the title company should have told us about it when we purchased the property. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I'd love to be writing a 5 star review and maybe they'll have the opportunity to redeem themselves in my eyes in the future but not right now.
