A complete nightmare, everyone was aware of my credit challenges and time crunch on 4/4/22 when this all began and I was assured it would close on time. The number of emails and calls and texts throughout, last minute additional forms that underwriting needed, then ZERO communication from them starting on Tuesday with the closing scheduled for Friday, 5-13. On Friday, all phone calls from both agents, myself, and the title company were ignored. The Branch Manager of the Independence office is also choosing to ignore my concerns...it is now Monday at 11:17 am, and I have movers coming tomorrow morning and still do not know why the loan is not closed or if we are closing today. I'm sure that Nations Lending will put us up in a hotel, board our dogs, and cover storage on all of our possessions until they feel that it's convenient for them to proceed with the loan closing. To make it worse, I took my business to them and considered my mortgage "professional" a personal friend, not anymore and lesson learned. Stay completely away from this company.

Everyone there was very friendly until right at time to close. After 5 or 6 weeks into the process they decided our condo association didn’t have a 10% reserve. In all actuality we had almost 30% reserve. They didn’t even have the decency to tell me. I had to keep calling and finally got a call back to tell me this. Was told to contact about what we needed to get it straightened out. Treasurer emailed them to no avail. They never responded. Cost me $ 1000.00 for my appraisal and foundation inspection in which is now just money down the toilet as I can’t get that back. Not good for someone on social security to just throw that kind of money down the drain. I will never refer them. A VERY disappointed client.

I had a great experience working with Nations Lending through Scott Nixon. He communicated thoroughly throughout the process. He was professional and yet friendly. He was accessible via phone call, text, and email. And he responded immediately to me when I needed to ask a question. Refinancing can be a chore, but with the great competence of Scott, everything was completed with ease.

Asked for a loan for adding an addition to our house. Gave them all data. Stated they were going to call back that evening, nothing. Then got text stating they got no reply when called and sent text if tomorrow would work to talk. Called next day got voicemail. Called day after and got voicemail also. Finally got in contact with them and they wanted to do a credit card consolidation in order to issue us the loan. The credit card had zero interest so our answer was no. What out when using. Now I have a credit inquiry for a company that I’m not going to use.

My experience with Nations Lending was nothing but positive through the entire loan process. From my initial contact with Scott Nixon on through to loan closing, everything was explained in detail and in a way that I could completely understand. My reason for contacting Nations Lending was that I was thoroughly disgusted with my previous mortgage holder. I wanted to ask a couple questions about my mortgage from my previous lender and they actually charge from $14. to $19. to talk to someone who could answer them. That is why I decided to try Nations Lending and boy am I glad I did! Not only did they answer my questions but they actually called me to explain each step of the process of refinancing and approximately how long it would take! Great company and great representatives like Scott Nixon. He kept in contact by phone and by email to make sure I knew what was going on with my loan application! (By the way, I called him a few times when it was past his working hours, because there is a 3 hour difference between his time and mine, and he was every bit as attentive to my questions as if he were in the office at work.)
