Steve Rizek was our loan officer and I was really happy that we were referred to him! He was very knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole process. We hit some rough patches along the way but he helped us get through them painlessly and I’m so thankful for everything he put up with from us to get us to be new home owners! Make sure to ask about loan origination fees!!! I am a first time homebuyer and I didn’t have a lot of funds to put down for a down payment or closing costs. I opted for a 0 down payment FHA loan(by the way, this is a second lien on your property. They will explain this to you). The only reason I opted for that option is because with 3.5% down the lender advised me closing costs would be $11k+$3250 seller credits on a $142k home and with 0 down it would be $8k+$3250 seller credits. So of course I chose the cheaper option. Fast forward to 3 weeks out from closing date, my realtor had some concerns and called to ask about loan origination fees. The lender (Steve) tried to dance around answering the question rather than being upfront and honest about them being $2900(average fees are around $1k). I spoke to a different lender and received a loan estimate from them estimating my cash to close be around $5500. Here we are, closing date and I closed with $5k out of pocket and $3250 seller credits. The lenders I spoke to at Liberty were very friendly, that is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. But seems this company doesn’t have much integrity, and they have the classic salesman mentality. However, feel free to reach out to Blake with Fairway Mortgage Corporation and he’ll be upfront and honest with you and actually care about your specific situation.

I highly recommend using Nicole as your loan officer. Our loan was difficult to approve and she stuck with us through the entire process. She was available when we had questions and worked hard to get our loan approved. Thanks to her and the liberty home team, we finally own our home!

My husband and I are newly starting out to try and buy a house because rents are so high the 1st place we chose was liberty home mortgage. When you start out you want them to be up front with you and let you know things that you need to do if it can't happen so that you can prepare to work on everything.They took all of our information and said plenty of times that they can make this happen we never received a call back from them. We know we do not have the best of credit but we just really wanted to know where to start so that we can start a process, But after taking all of our information documents ID social security cards w2's checkstubs we never heard anything back from them. They could have just told us that they could not help us it was wasted time. And when everything is perfect I would not go back because this is not the type of place I want handling my lending. No communication.

I had an amazing experience working with Kate Heffernan, Ben Maulorico and Keegan Lewins at Liberty Home Mortgage. I was referred to Kate by one of her former coworkers and was told that she was fantastic to work with. Kate was better than fantastic. She is exceptionally great at her job, working all angles of trying to get the best fit loan for your situation. She knows all of the intricacies of the laws and ways to navigate the system. As a first time home buyer with a couple of dings on my credit, I felt skeptical about securing an affordable loan and stay within my budget. Kate worked her magic to get me a lower interest rate loan, made the process seamless and was extremely attentive to answering all of my questions and moving super quick through the buying process. I felt confident and comfortable every single step of the way. Kate transitioned me to work with her partner Ben to help and get my loan closed. Ben was also great to work with. He was extremely attentive, kind and easy to work with. Keegan also played in integral role in getting all of my paperwork processed and helped to make the process seamless. A huge thank you to this team! Because of all of their hard work, I am proud to say that I am now officially a homeowner!

Derek Kolick was our loan officer. From the first time we spoke till our loan was closed Derek was very professional, easy to get ahold of, and very knowledgeable about every step of the process. I would highly recommend him and liberty home mortgage. Derek was very patient with me and my many questions he took time to explain in detail every step of the process. He made sure we stayed on schedule to close in 30 days although me being self employed add a few extra steps he still got us to close on time. My family would like to thank Derek for assisting us in the purchase of our dream home.

Only use them if you want lazy people who would rather lie to you instead of act professionally and answer questions honestly. Korey Leonhard is pompous and manipulative. He talks down to you and makes himself feel like a big man by insulting customers. If I could give them negative stars it would still be too high of a rating.

Lending agent did not keep our best interest first and neglected to mention that down payment assistance programs exists even after we communicated that we were short on cash to close estimates. Lender also didn’t tell us for three full weeks that the appraisal has to be paid for up front. Pushing our closing back 3 weeks we sat in silence waiting for the appraisal to happen then his manager calls and says something’s not signed. The lender never told us to sign what that manager was referring to. Then, The same day ,for the first time they sent over the credit card authorization form for the appraisal. Something we should have known about and received three weeks sooner. Things a first time home buyer wouldn’t know about wasn’t covered. like how each dollar needs a proven source. And all the verification that needs to happen. We were told about things one item and one day at a time so each day for the last two weeks off the process a different form or paper was requested instead of telling us all that will be needed at once. The lender wasn’t new. He should have known what would be required for the underwriter. Overall communication was almost nonexistent and closing cost after earnest money and due diligence were higher than the average rates. I would not recommend this company to anyone what so ever. Find a different lender. Period We found them through lending tree.

Completely unprofessional as Anthony collected my info then failed to respond at all. I was pre-approved the following day with Rocket and Affinity. Waste of time and completely unacceptable behavior.

Everything about Liberty Mortgage has been a pleasure! From getting all the documents we needed to submit to finding us a great real estate agent, this company always put our best interest first. We worked with Adam as our loan officer and he made the process a breeze. One of the best things about this company was working on weekends. With such busy work schedules this made it so much less stressful, everyone at Liberty was flexible with time and meetings in order to get our closing done on time.

Liberty Home Mortgage was an absolute pleasure to work with. I can’t say enough good things about Michael. Michael was given a tight time frame to get us pre approved and into our new home and him and his team worked all hours of the day to make it work. Michael and Kate were great to work with. This was my second time purchasing a home and the first time was a nightmare so I was very surprised at how easy and quick the process went this time. The communication from Michael was great. He very clearly explained everything and when I needed to submit additional documents he was very quick about getting with me and then getting the additional documents to underwriting quickly so the process wasn't delayed. I started the process with Liberty Home Mortgage in the middle of July and I closed on my loan August 23rd a full week ahead of the planned closing date. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend them

Chris is absolutely amazing. He was so patient, knowledgeable, and kind. And when we hit a snag, he offered perfect solutions to help us get over the hump, in order to proceed to closing. He made our homebuying experience so pleasureable. I cannot say enough about his service to us! Kudos Chris!

If I could give anyone advise from this review, it would be DO NOT go with this lender agent, to save you and your family a lot of heartache. After selling our home, we found our new dream home, only to be homeless in a hotel, and lied to for months. Thankfully we had a seller who was gracious enough to let us rent the home until we could switch lenders. We went with another lender and he was amazing. Also, by going with another lender our mortgage payment was $250 less a month, which either says Liberty’s Mr. DiFranco was incompetent or trying to pull one over on us. Run while you can. Save yourself loads of trouble!!

Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. Working with a trusted lender such as Isaac Quijano made the entire lending process easy from start to finish. When I had questions at the very beginning before pre-approval, Isaac was always happy to take my calls and answer any questions I had. As the process moved forward, Isaac continued to communicate each of the important steps we should expect. Phenomenal. Only one word I could use for my experience with Liberty Home Mortgage. From the top Steven Rizek answered all my questions and even the ones I had not even thought of asking. Periodic check up and updates kept the whole process from being overwhelming. Most importantly I never felt like I was wasting his time or that I was just a client. 100% would recommend to any first time buyer.

I was contacted by Liberty Mortgage after checking another site to find out what kind of rate I could get. The representative that contacted me was very polite, helpful, and answered a lot of my concerns about why his company was different from the rest. For me, I have been through this process a few times, so I had a lot of questions. After several conversations and two other offers, I decided to get my mortgage through Liberty. With them requiring so much paperwork up front, it made the process much easier to handle later. We were on a strict timeline, and it was only three weeks from the time that we found our house to the point of closing. Anthony, the representative that was helping me, did an amazing job. He got everything done in the timeframe and exactly in the price range that we were looking for. In the coming months, I am aware that they will be selling my loan, what makes this company different from the others, they have made the loan legally binding that when they do sell it, no one can make changes to the loan that we signed for. I’m so thankful for the effort and tireless days, nights, and yes, even weekends that Anthony put in to get us our house. If I ever decide to sell this house and buy another one, I will definitely use this company again.

Khash and his associates were great! We agreed on a 30 day closing for our new home and they made it happen despite some last minute hiccups. I would definitely recommend. Good communication via email, calls and texts. Easy to work with.

Steve Rizek was such a pleasure to work with! As an agent, it’s so important to be kept up to date with the loan process, and so many officers don’t do that. Steve was ahead of The game every step of the way. Keeping the buyer, the listing agent, my teammate and myself in the loop until closing day. Can’t rave enough!

In brief summary, Liberty Home Mortgage is a typical lending company that does not give attention to any file until 2 weeks prior to closing. They put no precedents on files that might take more time to get closed. They show a complete lack of empathy toward their clients or any other human being dependent on them to clear the loan they had convinced the client to trust them to handle. They are a 9AM-5PM company and their lenders would NEVER consider working on a file outside of those hours or on a weekend even at the cost of their client losing a house. The best part about this company though is the complete lack of accountability. Perhaps another office has a professional and competent manager but not the Independence Ohio branch. Search on Liberty Home Mortagage's website and you will find a phone number that asks you to leave a message for them to call you back but then hangs up on you. You will also note there is not headquarters or higher management to whom you can file a complaint against an individual branch. I will never work with this company again no matter the circumstances. I highly recommend any civilian looking to buy a house stray as far away from them as possible unless you want to experience a tenfold amount of the necessary stress in purchasing a home for your family.

I will not recommend this company as a possible lender to any upcoming clients. We were told at the beginning of May, upon extending a contract, that 2 weeks (5/17) would be enough time to "get it done". We are now at 5/25, with seems no end in sight. One excuse after another and after "conditions were cleared", other items have come up. This company is NOT organized and EVERY number I have called today to reach someone besides the loan officer does not have a voicemail setup. I have left messages previously for the operations manager to gain some insight as to what is going on, WITH NO RESPONSE. My clients will be homeless in June and the seller has faced financial hardship in waiting for this transaction to close, as they were assured would happen. Our final extension runs to 5/31 and if not closed by 5/31, the transaction terminates. Absolutely unacceptable.

This company needs to be SHUT DOWN. My daughter is a first time home buyer and fell in love with a home in Ohio. We live in North Carolina. Every other day the amount of money she needed for closing costs changed without her being contacted first. Then finally she was set to close, given an amount for the Cashier's Check and she loaded the U-Haul and even had utilities turned on. She's currently sitting in a PARKING LOT with her finance as well as TWO DOGS AND FOUR CATS. Being told to come back in the morning!!! They drove all night and don't have hotel money. This company is a joke and I'm going to report them EVERY WHERE

This is a long review but worth reading, I was recommend to go through Chris from my realtor, when I contacted Chris he seemed like he had my best interest, I was excited to work with him because he seemed like he knew what he was talking about, (that's because I was a first time home buyer, I didn't know nothing at all besides I was so happy that ill be buying a home soon), dealing with Chris was the worst nightmare, Chris Doyle is a complete LIAR, he was at fault so many times and never took accountability, Chris Doyle cost me more money and a higher interest rate, Chris never did the work the work to see how much the property taxes was, RED FLAG(my sister even told me something had to be wrong because when she look up the taxes for my area it was higher than what Chris told me, so when Chris called to tell me about the taxes instead of saying I apologize I over looked the property he calls and say its only a few bucks more, a few bucks is not only $200, he messed up on my first loan which caused me to pay another appraisal fee, after he told me I didn't have to pay for it the 2nd time Chris lied for the 12th time, I had to change my closing date 3 times which caused me more money, Chris is the worst type of human that you just let karma do their job. If you want a person who will lie, and not take accountability, and not be honest CHRIS DOLYE is your guy. its so much I can say about this guy but I'm trying to keep it as short as possible, just know I was ready to change lenders 3 days before closing date because I feel Chris didn't deserved my money. (That should tell you a lot about his character). I was told I will not have to pay for the 4th inspection fee and of course Chris Doyle changed my card and told me he will give me the money back on a $150 visa gift card, Chris told me when I closed which was 4/8/2022 he will send me out a gift card, I been trying to reach out to this dishonest liar and he have been avoiding me. PLSEASE DONT GO TO CHRIS DOYLE he is a dishonest person who only care for himself.

The worst experience I have ever had . They did not do the paperwork right . That should have been our first clue yet proceeded. Then they "transferred" my mortgage to another company called the other company to make a payment I am not in their system. Here it is the 7th of the month and I cannot make a payment. Called them several times and can't seem to get a hold of anyone.

My First time home buying experience was made easy working with Chris and liberty. Everything was explained thoroughly, and I was walked through all the steps. My pre-approval came back quick so i was able to start shopping right after my initial application which surprised me. All the paperwork was done a online which made the process even more convenient. Definitely would recommend.

5 Stars is not enough...What can I say. Buying a home is rough at times, especially if you've never done it before. After putting out the word that I was interested in buying a home, Tina was the first to call. Not wanting to "go with the first one in line" I listened to several other lenders. I always went back to Tina. She was friendly, and wanted to expedite our home purchase. I put her through the ringer too, she was also my "therapist" through this experience. On the ball, and informative; she made this crazy dream I had, a reality. If I ever decide to do this again, I am going to look her up. I cannot recommend her and Liberty Mortgage enough. Whirlwind 6 weeks, and we were closing on our home. We're in now, and loving every minute of it.

Anthony Arroyo was great in the beginning until I got to the of making an offer on a home. On the sales and purchase contract, a blank needed to be filled for the interest rate not to exceed for the life of the loan. Anthony refused to give me a maximum rate saying that Liberty doesn’t give that out until 15 days prior to closing. This is to ensure the best rates, no other explanation was given. I informed Mr Arroyo that if I couldn’t have a number to put in that I would have to look at other mortgage options due to the fact this is required by the realtor I’m using. (A very reputable realtor for my area) The reply I got was “I have seen a lot of contracts and never seen this.”….“ ok that’s fine, I will wipe your file clean.” Different areas/realtors have different requirements. I personally called a different realtor with a different real estate office and her firm requires the same information.

Working with Rob Dawson and his team was such a pleasure. This is the second time I have worked with Rob and the Liberty team. The first time was so positive and smooth, that I went back to them when I was in the market for my new home. The Liberty team goes out of their way to serve their customers, providing great communication and information through every step of the process. I can't recommend them enough!

Dominic was a fantastic Loan Officer very professional and always answered questions in a timely manner while ensuring all required documents for the loan were asked for early enough so there was no stress at the end providing information that was easily asked for at the beginning of the process.
